According to the heat transfer theory, an unsteady state heat transfer model of electric locomotive wheels during emergency braking on tangent track at a speed of 200 km/h has been established in this paper. The explicit finite difference method is used in the numerical calculation of temperature fields of wheels. From the calculation results, the determination of braking distance and the material choice of brake shoes are discussed. 展开更多
