Study on Spatial Structure of Rural Tourism in Wuhan Urban Agglomerations

Spatial structure of rural tourism in the urban agglomerations of Wuhan was analyzed by comprehensively studying relevant documents about rural tourism,and reviewing previous researches on the concept and spatial structure of rural tourism.Through investigating rural tourist resources in the study area,resource advantages and characteristics of 9 cities were introduced,and the Gini Coefficient was taken to quantitatively analyze spatial patterns of its rural tourist villages,the obviously imbalanced concentration of these villages was pointed out.By measuring connectivity and accessibility of regional spaces in the study area,its traffic connectivity was proved moderate,and accessibility of each tourist village and town was fine.Then an optimized spatial structure was proposed for the rural tourism development in Wuhan Urban Agglomerations,that is,"one core,one belt and three districts".

System Design for Urban Forest Park——Based on Elimination of Externality during Development and Tourism Process

The paper had introduced researches on urban forest park and analyzed its particularity.In terms of elimination of externality during development and tourism consumption process of urban forest park,real estate agent had been introduced and two assumptions had been proposed to eliminate externality.As for elimination of externality during development of urban forest park,right to use planning land for urban forest park and surrounding land for real estate development would be sold to estate agent who would develop urban forest park and commodity house;the management of forest urban park would be undertaken by tourism development companies for which estate agent would make compensation.As for elimination of externality during tourism consumption process,it would control with policies and laws,or establish ticket system.As the study hadn't been conducted on policies about urban land and real estate,the feasibility of the first assumption needed to be further studied by environmental economists.

Enhancing coastal areas governance for sustainable tourism in the context of urbanization and climate change in eastern Thailand

Coastal areas in the eastern sub-region of Thailand,a popular destination in Southeast Asia,are facing rapid tourism-related urbanization and associated consequences of environment and climate change(CC).Thus,this study aims to analyze the relationships between tourism,coastal areas,the environment,and CC in the context of tourism urbanization;and recommend strategies for enhancing the governance of coastal areas.Three popular destinations were selected as study areas,Koh Chang,Koh Mak,and Pattaya.Group discussions,questionnaire surveys,in-terviews,and observation were used for primary data collection together with secondary data.The results show that the development of these destinations has been incompatible with the coastal environment and CC patterns.Rapid urbanization from tourism development is the main driver of environmental changes and makes the areas vulnerable to CC-related risks.While water scarcity and pollution are found the most critical environmental issues of the destinations,coastal areas are negatively affected in terms of increased air and water pollution and resource degradation.They have also been exposed to different CC-related problems while the risks of accumulative impacts of both environment and CC have not been adequately recognized or addressed.Although some measures have provided synergies of improved environment and increased climate resilience,possible conflicts and gaps were also found.Public infrastructure integration and optimization to enhance coastal areas'environment and climate resilience are suggested.

Tourism sectorization opportunity spectrum model and space partition of tourism urbanization area:a case of the Mayangxi ecotourism area,Fujian province,China

Nowadays, tourism has become an increasingly significant driving force of modern urbanization in China. However, it has caused varieties of problems, such as resource unreasonable utilization, society unfair play, and environment pollution, etc. Thus, the establishment of an efficient and sustainable space partition model for tourism urbanization, from the geographical perspective, is highly necessary and urgent. Herein, a new evaluation model of tourist town space, referred to as Tourism Sectorization Opportunity Spectrum(TSOS), is established on the relationships between productionliving-ecology spaces. TSOS is a kind of quantitative evaluation model involving such factors as urban living area, ecological conservation area and the tourism industry. Furthermore, the analysis of quantitative production-living-ecology spatial overlap has been utilized for space division in a tourism urbanization area. This paper, using both the TSOS model and GIS technology, analyzes the spatial restructure of the Mayangxi ecotourism area. Theresult demonstrates that tourism industrial space takes the Shanchong Village as a core which shows a pattern of local regional agglomeration and a fuzzy edge extending along the entire Mayangxi River. The urban living area should be consolidated in the Shili village with the supporting facilities and living space for tourism. In addition, Tianzhu Mountain forest park should be the key environmental protection area. The case study on the Mayangxi ecotourism area verifies that the TSOS model has strong operability. Therefore, TSOS model provides a scientific foundation for the space reconstruction of new urbanization area, and an effective tool for optimizing the space partition of a tourism urbanization area.

How to Develop Chinese Rural Tourism in the Context of New Urbanization?

With economic development,the type and form of tourism products are constantly innovated,and rural tourism has become one of the main travel choices of contemporary Chinese people. In 2014,China formulated National New Urbanization Plan,providing a new opportunity for development of rural tourism. In this paper,we first summarize the development situation and connotation of new urbanization and rural tourism,then discuss the mutually reinforcing interaction between the two,analyze the main problems in Chinese rural tourism under new urbanization,and finally put forth the recommendations,in order to better meet the needs of new urbanization,and strive to create a new model of tourism urbanization.

Dynamic Evaluation on Regional Tourism Competitiveness:Urban Agglomeration of Shandong Peninsula,Eastern China

The article establishes the appraisal index system for entire urban agglomeration and its interior cities individually,concretely including five aspects:driving forces for tourism development,the level of tourism development,tourism impacts,tourism economic connection and tourism contributions of different cities to the whole urban agglomeration.As tourism competitiveness has the characteristics of comprehensiveness,systematicness and dynamicness,the article attempts to apply the structural prediction means of system dynamics to evaluating tourism competitiveness,aiming to provide some research methods and analysis ideas for tourism competitiveness measurement and trends analysis in urban agglomeration.Taking Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration as the study area,the article simulates and analyzes the tourism competitiveness trend of the whole region and its interior cities from 2005 to 2020,and the result reflects that integrated development and regional combination of tourism are important means to upgrade tourism competitiveness in this region.

Study on the Development of Urban Ecotourism:A Case Study of the Bund of Shanghai

Based on the analysis of biological and non-biological factors in ecotourism development of the Bund,strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and challenges of its ecotourism development were explored from the perspectives of resource,location,tourist source and policy,and suggestions were given to further promote ecotourism development of the Bund.

Urban Repair Routes Toward Cultural Tourism:A Case Study of the Old Town of Jiazhou in Leshan,Sichuan

Cultural tourism is one of the directions of urban transformation and development,but there are still problems such as fragmentation of resource development models.Urban repair,as a comprehensive,systematic,and holistic updating project under the guidance of the problem,is an important way to promote the sustainable development of urban cultural tourism by paying attention to the connotative development of the "stock" of urban scale.Based on the analysis of the western urban cultural renaissance concept,this study closely followed the actual situation of cultural tourism development in the old city of China,re-examined the scale,goals and values of the current urban repair research to find breakthroughs for urban repair,put forward basic routes for the renewal of the built-up area,and analyzed the project practice of the Old Town of Jiazhou,with a view to providing a new "repair" model for promoting cultural tourism in small and medium-sized cities in China.

A Sightseeing Spot Recommendation System for Urban Smart Tourism Based on Users’ Priority Conditions

The present study aimed to design,develop,operate and evaluate a sightseeing spot recommendation system as a smart tourism tool that gathers and accumulates sightseeing spot information and considers personal preferences as well as priority conditions to support tourism activities,especially in urban tourist areas.The system was developed by integrating web-geographic information systems(Web-GIS),the recommendation system and the evaluation system.Additionally,the system was operated for 4 weeks in the central part of Yokohama City in Kanagawa Prefecture,Japan,and the total number of users was 62.Based on the results of the web questionnaire survey,the system was highly useful for sightseeing activities,and further utilization of each function can be expected by continuing the operation.From the results of access analysis of users’log data,it is evident that the system has been used by different types of information terminals just as it was designed for,and that the system has been used according to the purpose of the present study,which is to support the sightseeing activities of users.However,the number of visits to pages related to the evaluation function of sightseeing spots and submitting function of new sightseeing spot information was low.This may improve if the system operation is conducted on a long-term basis.

Evaluation on Urban Tourism Competitiveness of Beibu Gulf Rim Based on the Entropy Approach

The tourism competitiveness of the cities around the Beibu Gulf was studied using the entropy method from the perspective of the 14 indexes of tourism current competitiveness,tourism support competitiveness and tourism potential competitiveness.The results show that the cities of Sanya,Nanning and Haikou have the stronger competitiveness;the cities of Zhanjiang,Beihai,Chongzuo and Maoming have moderate competitiveness;and the cities of Yulin,Qinzhou,Yangjiang and Fangchenggang have the weak competitiveness.According to the analysis of the index weight and comprehensive ranking,almost each aspect contributes to the city competitiveness.The index weights of the tourism current competitiveness,tourism support competitiveness and tourism potential competitiveness are 0.27222,0.3938 and 0.33398,respectively.Based on the niche theory,the article put forward the strategies:dislocation development,balanced development and regional tourism competition and cooperation development.

URBAN TOURISM RESEARCH METHODOLOGY——A Case Study of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Area

This paper tries to apply a new and more comprehensive method to urban tourism research in an expanded field instead of only partially, unilaterally and separately focusing on the city itself. Taking the urban tourism of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao as an example, it aims at presenting a new spatial system of urban tourism research and pointing out the new orientation of urban tourism research in combination of macro level and micro level, from description to explanation. The meanings of the spatial framework construction for urban tourism study are to make clear how urban tourism studies vary with the changes of dimensions of time and space. This is a meaningful discussion because it will bring great changes to the using of literatures, the opening of research perspectives on urban tourism and the upgrading of theories, so as to create a new stage for urban tourism study.

Tourism Marketing Strategies for Satellite City against the Background of New Urbanization

Considering the development features of new urbanization, and tourism development conditions of Xinzhou District, Wuhan City, this paper explored the inner integrated point of new urbanization and tourism industry, and on this basis proposed strategies for tourism marketing of satellite city by innovating traditional marketing, and applying new marketing methods, so as to build a high-efficiency, high-coverage marketing network, to promote the development of urban tourism, the integration of industries, and economic strength of satellite city, and to push forward the further implementation of new urbanization.

Research on Urban Tourism Image Positioning:A Case Study of Dengfeng in Henan Province

Aiming at facilitating the research of urban tourism image positioning,this paper summarizes the domestic and abroad theories on urban tourism image and analyzes its significance for cities.With Dengfeng as an example,its goal is to boost development of Dengfeng tourism,which is an excellent tourism city in China.This paper presents its current urban tourism developing situation,positions its tourism image,concludes the plan of image brand and proposes promotional slogans based on the analysis of Dengfeng tourism local features,its core elements and perceptions of visitors.

The Coupling of Landscape Pattern and Landscape Esthetics of Urban Traditional Cultural Tourism Destination: A Case Study of Confucius Temple-Qinhuai River Scenic Area in Nanjing City

Study on the relationship between landscape beauty and ecological beauty is an important scientifi c problem that refl ects the nature of man-land relation, and current academic researches on this topic are most based on a single perspective. Therefore, this paper took the Confucius Temple–Qinhuai River Scenic Area in Nanjing City as a typical case of urban traditional cultural tourism destination, adopted landscape pattern indexes and balanced incomplete block comparison and evaluation method as the evaluation standards of ecological beauty and landscape beauty, and analyzed the coupling characteristics and rules of landscape pattern and landscape aesthetics. The results showed that(a) The overall landscape of the study area had higher fragmentation degree, but different landscape groups were infl uenced by different human interventions, landscape patches showed moderate diversity and heterogeneity, patch area, spatial distribution and spatial aggregation degree showed structural differences.(b) The locals and visitors had aesthetic perception of the study area, but preferred the beautiful natural scenery of the Qinhuai River, as well as the historical buildings and cultural landscapes that contain rich memories of the city.(c) Landscape pattern and landscape aesthetics showed coupled complementation and harmonious coexistence. The Confucius Temple–Qinhuai River Scenic Area has profound historical and cultural background, but it has witnessed gradual loss of cultural characteristics and fast "delocalization" against the background of rapid urbanization. As an urban traditional cultural tourism destination, it carries the responsibility of protecting city memories and inheriting regional cultures.

Research on the Promotion Path and Strategy of Regional Tourism Brand of Jinan-Tai'an Urban Integration from the Perspective of Marketing

In order to enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of the city,Shandong Province put forward the development strategy of Jinan-Tai’an urban integration.Based on the perspective of tourism marketing,the regional tourism brand of Jinan-Tai’an urban integration is created to promote the development of regional tourism in Jinan and Tai’an and further promote the integrated development of Tai’an and Jinan.Based on the analysis of the tourism resources and the characteristics of tourist source market in Tai’an and Jinan,as well as the in-depth study of successful cases at home and abroad,the path and countermeasures to promote the development of regional tourism in Tai’an and Jinan are summarized from the perspective of marketing.

Tourism Spatial Structure in Urban Agglomeration of the Greater Bay Area and Its Optimization

With the rapid development of economy,China’s urbanization process is accelerated.As major urban cluster center,Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is regarded as one of the most representative areas with the highest openness and the strongest economic vitality.Under the background of new era,main purpose of making development strategy of the Greater Bay Area is to build a world-class city cluster with great vitality,and establish a world-class science and technology innovation center with great influence.It also lays a good foundation for strengthening the construction of the belt and road initiative in China,and improves quality of life in the cooperation zone between the mainland and Hong Kong and Macao.Under the background,the tourism industry has new challenges,and the tourism spatial structure should be more closely linked.In this paper,tourism spatial structure of 9+2 urban agglomeration in the Greater Bay Area is taken as core research objective,and tourism resource of the urban agglomeration,and development of tourism economy and perfect transportation network in each city are analyzed.According to research results,the targeted suggestions and optimization methods are obtained.

To Withstand Loneliness in the Process of Urbanization——Research on the Construction and Planning of Metropolitan Suburban Rural Tourism Scenic Areas

Abstract The conflicts between rurality and urbanization,tradition and modernity,industry and environmental resource in the rural tourism have become major difficulties of its sustainable development in China.This paper analyzed the characteristics and difficult situations of metropolitan suburban rural tourism,put forward four kinds of region-city functions in the development of metropolitan suburban rural tourism,and researched on the construction of rural tourism scenic areas in metropolis suburb—"to Withstand Loneliness in the Process of Urbanization"—as the following aspects:the space organization mode,localization,social organization and management,the product organization and spatial planning modes and contents.

Study on Rural Ecotourism Development in Yingshan Area of Chengyu Urban Agglomeration

Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration covers a large number of rural areas.These areas have unique topographic conditions,diverse landscape types,and beautiful natural environment,but the economic conditions are underdeveloped;the ecological environment is fragile and the tourism carrying capacity is low.At the same time,they are facing the problems of lack of tourism facilities and low management level of scenic spots.Taking Yingshan area as an example,this paper evaluates the rural tourism development conditions from the aspects of location conditions,complementarity of tourism resources,highlights of tourism resources,tourist source conditions,and ecological environment,and makes a detailed plan for the functional zoning and tourism products of rural tourism development.The research shows that in order to realize the sustainable development of rural tourism resources,Chengdu Chongqing urban agglomeration should take the global tourism concept as the scientific guidance,ecological protection as the premise,agricultural resources as the basis,and culture as the soul,carry out rational,orderly,and scientific rural ecotourism development,and create high-quality rural ecotourism products.
