In order to supplement a special example to the urban imago space theory and to validate former theory, this article studied the Lanzhou urban imago space. During the course of researching, authors adopted some investigating methods, such as visiting on the spot, photograph identification method and sketch map identification method etc. Using investigated data, this paper made an elementary research on urban imago space of Lanzhou, which is a typical valley city in the western China. The result of study indicated that the urban imago space of Lanzhou takes Xiguan Cross as its center (Lanzhou involves four districts of Chengguan, Qilihe, Anning and Xigu). In the process of recognition of urban imago space, the Huanghe (Yellow) River and mountains beside the city are the dominant factors and the main nodes of cognition. So the urban imago space of Lanzhou is quite different from that of plain cities. Interviewee did well in the spatial structure map, which was made up of mountainous land, river and main trunk roads, the group structure took profound impression on people.展开更多

In Chanchun city, smallsand descending with snow provides the best samples to conduct a quantitative research on the possible impacts of city - ecology. In the 253km2 urban district area of Changchun city, smallsands accumulated up to more than 3000t on April 7, according to the calculation of four "mud - snow" samples. After naturally melting in room temperature, two samples are taken to do quarantine of "invasion bacteria". As a preliminary result, the individual amount of bacterium in 1 ml sample water is up to 8. 9 x 104 or 1. 05 x 105, and it is estimated that there are 640 million "invasion bacterium" individuals in one square meter. This study proves that other than the obvious environmental effects of sandstorm, the urban micro - ecosystem is very possible under threat by the "invasion bacterium" accompanied by remote descending smallsand.展开更多

Due to the limitation of geography, hydrology, soil, climate, transportation and other factors, valley cities in the Loess Plateau have certain particularities in the construction of their green hearts. Based on the connotation and characteristics of green heart, a typical valley city of Shenmu in Shaanxi Province was selected for research, and explored the adaptive design strategy of green heart in the city combining with the planning and design of the Central Park in Shenmu, so as to provide a reference point for the construction of green heart in the same type of city.展开更多

This ardcle aim to the first - tiercities of second - hand housing prices and new home price index for the empirical analysis, thedata related to the cointegration analysis found that the result of the first -tier cities real estatemarket in China, the new home price index is the significant factors influencing the second -hand house price indexi For Beijing, Shanghai second - hand housing and new home price in-dex time series johans test, found that there exists cointegration relationship between two varia-bles,the new city real estate market prices out of a line on the secondary market have clearguide. Therefore, the real estate market regulation aiming at the first -tier cities and the"housing stock" should take the second - hand housing market as the main direction, startingwith the sale price and influencing factors of new houses. At the same time, in different cities,we should adhere to the city' s policies, reflect the policy differentiation, promote the reformof the real estate supply side, and promote the return of housing properties.展开更多

[Method] Mexi- can hat wavelet was used to analyze multi-scale characteristics of the monthly precipitation data in Chengde from 1951 to 2008. We revealed multi- time-scale complex structure of the precipitation change in Chengde, analyzed change cycles and mutation points of the precipitation series under different time scales, and identified primary period in each series. [ Result]There were high/low value centers of the precipitation under interdec- adal scale (more than 10 years). Under interannual scale (below 10 years), oscillation was complex and variable, but 4-year scale had obvious high-frequency oscillation. Wavelet variance analysis verified existence of the 4-year precipitation cycle, and M - K test also confirmed conclusions of the wavelet analysis. [ Conclusion] We could judge from alternating wet and dry conditions that the wet year decreased significantly, and the cur- rent Drecioitation was still less than normal.展开更多

This model was then used to conduct independent extended-range forecasts of the principal temporal and spatial variations in the low-frequency meridional wind field on a time scale of 20-30 days. These variations affect the occurrence of heavy precipitation events in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River valley (LYRV). The results of 135 forecast experiments during the summer half year show that the predicted and observed anomalies are strongly correlated at a lead time of 20 days (mean correlation greater than 0.50). This strong correlation indicates that the model is capable of accurately forecasting the low-frequency variations in meridional wind that corresponded to the 3 heavy precipitation events in the LYRV during the summer of 2002. Further forecast experiments based on data from multiple years with significant 20-30-day oscillations show that these prediction modes are effective tools for forecasting the space-time evolution of the low-frequency circulation. These findings offer potential for improving the accuracy of forecasts of heavy precipitation over the LYRV at lead times of 3-4 weeks.展开更多
