Non-contact wide-field viewing system-assisted scleral buckling surgery for retinal detachment in silicone oilfilled eyes

AIM:To evaluate scleral buckling(SB)surgery using a noncontact wide-field viewing system and 23-gauge intraocular illumination for the treatment of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment in silicone oil(SO)-filled eyes.METHODS:Totally 9 patients(9 eyes)with retinal detachment in SO-filled eyes were retrospectively analyzed.All patients underwent non-contact wide-field viewing system-assisted buckling surgery with 23-gauge intraocular illumination.SO was removed at an appropriate time based on recovery.The patients were followed up for at least 3mo after SO removal.Retinal reattachment,complications,visual acuity and intraocular pressure(IOP)before and after surgery were observed.RESULTS:Patients were followed up for a mean of 8.22mo(3-22mo)after SO removal.All patients had retinal reattachment.At the final follow-up,visual acuity showed improvement for 8 patients,and no change for 1 patient.The IOP was high in 3 patients before surgery,but it stabilized after treatment;it was not affected in the other patients.None of the patients had infections,hemorrhage,anterior ischemia,or any other complication.CONCLUSION:This new non-contact wide-field viewing system-assisted SB surgery with 23-gauge intraocular illumination is effective and safe for retinal detachment in SO-filled eyes. 展开更多

Research on Feature Matching Optimization Algorithm for Automotive Panoramic Surround View System

In response to the challenges posed by insufficient real-time performance and suboptimal matching accuracy of traditional feature matching algorithms within automotive panoramic surround view systems,this paper has proposed a high-performance dimension reduction parallel matching algorithm that integrates Principal Component Analysis(PCA)and Dual-Heap Filtering(DHF).The algorithm employs PCA to map the feature points into the lower-dimensional space and employs the square of Euclidean distance for feature matching,which significantly reduces computational complexity.To ensure the accuracy of feature matching,the algorithm utilizes Dual-Heap Filtering to filter and refine matched point pairs.To further enhance matching speed and make optimal use of computational resources,the algorithm introduces a multi-core parallel matching strategy,greatly elevating the efficiency of feature matching.Compared to Scale-Invariant Feature Transform(SIFT)and Speeded Up Robust Features(SURF),the proposed algorithm reduces matching time by 77%to 80%and concurrently enhances matching accuracy by 5%to 15%.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithmexhibits outstanding real-time matching performance and accuracy,effectivelymeeting the feature-matching requirements of automotive panoramic surround view systems. 展开更多

The data warehouse is the most widely used database structure in many decision support systems around the world. This is the reason why a lot of research has been conducted in the literature over the last two decades on their design, refreshment and optimization. The manipulation of hypercubes (cubes) of data is a frequently used operation in the design of multidimensional data warehouses, due to their better adaptation to OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing). However, the updating of these hypercubes is a very complicated process due mainly to the mass and complexity of the data presented. The purpose of this paper is to present the state of the art of works based on multidimensional modeling using the hypercube as a unit of presentation of data stores. It starts with the base of this process which is the choice of the views (cubes) forming our data warehouse base. In the past three decades,laser warning systems(LWS)have emerged in great importance,as the development of laser-guided weapons,such as airborne Hellfire missiles,has increased,posing an imminent threat to vital areas and VIPs.The laser warning station(LWS)can detect,classify,identify,and give alarm from laser threat at a very short time with high sensitivity.Therefore,the designers of this system must take into account the detectability and field of view to cover the area to be secured.The main contribution in this research is an analytical design of LWS that consists of 24 detector elements,distributed in two arrays(2×12)circularly.Also,calculating the best distance between the detectors according to the laser beam spot size.In addition,enhancement laser warring sensor detection capability and detection performance FOV between the detectors to increase coverage area up to 360°.Moreover,decreasing dead zone area between the laser detectors element.Mathematical calculations and illustrations made to reach the best systematic design. 展开更多

It also proposes some suggestions to overcome the difference. As globalization is quickening its pace, world views and value systems, as the core of culture, profoundly affect people's pattern of behavior. A deeper understanding and consciousness of the differences may promote a more effective communication between different cultural backgrounds. This thesis compares the differences between Chinese and US cultures from three perspectives: the different world view between Chinese and Americans, the different value systems between Chinese and Americans and how the two affect their behaviors. The integration of the Lab model with the extended histogram of oriented gradients (EHOG) is proposed to improve the accuracy of human appearance matching across disjoint camera views under perturbations such as illumination changes and different viewing angles. For the Lab model that describes the global information of observations, a sorted nearest neighbor clustering method is proposed for color clustering and then a partitioned color matching method is used to calculate the color similarity between observations. The Bhattacharya distance is employed for the textural similarity calculation of the EHOG which describes the local information. The global information, which is robust to different viewing angles and scale changes, describes the observations well. Meanwhile, the use of local information, which is robust to illumination changes, can strengthen the discriminative ability of the method. The integration of global and local information improves the accuracy and robustness of the proposed matching approach. Experiments are carried out indoors, and the results show a high matching accuracy of the proposed method. 展开更多

针对高校“移动通信”课程教学中存在的教学脱离实际、学生参与不积极等问题,提出一种将System View软件应用于理论教学中的教学方法。该方法主要以System View软件辅助理论教学,通过与硬件实验相结合,提升课程质量。首先在System View... 针对高校“移动通信”课程教学中存在的教学脱离实际、学生参与不积极等问题,提出一种将System View软件应用于理论教学中的教学方法。该方法主要以System View软件辅助理论教学,通过与硬件实验相结合,提升课程质量。首先在System View软件中设计“移动通信”理论原理图,运行程序后分组讨论相关参数,最后将软件运行结果与硬件实验结果进行对比,启发学生思考问题。调查结果表明:对该教学方法认可满意的学生比例为86%,较满意的为9.2%,不满意的为4.8%。“移动通信”的理论教学实验表明该方法有效可行,能提高学习自主性,并能有效提高教学质量。 展开更多
