This paper probes into the utilization of locally available resources in Fujian traditional residential architecture from the perspective of the characteristics of "reduction, recycling and reuse" of sustainable materials, and puts forward the view that sustainability study of contemporary architecture should be approached from the relationship between man and environment and that inspiration can be drawn from the creative and innovative ideas of the folk residential builders.展开更多
