In this article, we study positive solutions to the system{Aαu(x) = Cn,αPV∫Rn(a1(x-y)(u(x)-u(y)))/(|x-y|n+α)dy = f(u(x), Bβv(x) = Cn,βPV ∫Rn(a2(x-y)(v(x)-v(y))/(|x-y|n+β)dy = g(u(x),v(x)).To reach our aim, by using the method of moving planes, we prove a narrow region principle and a decay at infinity by the iteration method. On the basis of these results, we conclude radial symmetry and monotonicity of positive solutions for the problems involving the weighted fractional system on an unit ball and the whole space. Furthermore, non-existence of nonnegative solutions on a half space is given. 展开更多

In this paper, we prove the existence and the global exponential stability of the unique weighted pseudo almost-periodic solution of shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks with mixed time-varying delays comprising different discrete and distributed time delays. Some sufficient conditions are given for the existence and the global exponential stability of the weighted pseudo almost-periodic solution by employing fixed point theorem and differential inequality techniques. The results of this paper complement the previously known ones. Finally, an illustrative example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of our results. 展开更多

The meshless weighted least-square (MWLS) method was developed based on the weighted least-square method. The method possesses several advantages, such as high accuracy, high stability and high e?ciency. Moreover, the coe?cient matrix obtained is symmetric and semi- positive de?nite. In this paper, the method is further examined critically. The e?ects of several parameters on the results of MWLS are investigated systematically by using a cantilever beam and an in?nite plate with a central circular hole. The numerical results are compared with those obtained by using the collocation-based meshless method (CBMM) and Galerkin-based meshless method (GBMM). The investigated parameters include the type of approximations, the type of weight functions, the number of neighbors of an evaluation point, as well as the manner in which the neighbors of an evaluation point are determined. This study shows that the displacement accuracy and convergence rate obtained by MWLS is comparable to that of the GBMM while the stress accuracy and convergence rate yielded by MWLS is even higher than that of GBMM. Furthermore, MWLS is much more e?cient than GBMM. This study also shows that the instability of CBMM is mainly due to the neglect of the equi- librium residuals at boundary nodes. In MWLS, the residuals of all the governing equations are minimized in a weighted least-square sense. 展开更多

The two-dimensional distribution of the weight function of the electromagnetic flowmeter obtained was verified by the analytical solution. Three-dimensional distribution of the weight function was also presented in the paper. The separate-layer injection in different interlayers and the injection of the same-molecular-weight polymer so- lution in a layer are necessary in the polymer flooding process because of heterogeneous multilayer sandstone reservoirs in EOR projects. To alleviate the matching problems between the layer permeability and the injected polymer molecular weight, a molecular weight adjusting device with porous medium was designed on the basis of mechanical degradation principle. In terms of four variables (polymer concentration, pore diameter, length of shear component and flow rate ), the theological behavior of hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM) solu- tion flowing through the device was investigated in detail. The change of these variables is able to control the shear rate of HPAM solutions through ceramic foam, and achieve the desired degree of shear degradation and the final theological parameters-viscosity loss, viscoelasticity and pressure drop. Therefore, a linear relationship between viscosity loss and shearing rate was established so as to obtain the targeted viscosity easily. Field tests in the Daqing Oil Field showed that the polymer molecular weight could drop 20% to 50%. In a word, the results could guide the industrial application of the novel device and the further study of polymer degradation flowing through the porous medium. 展开更多

By applying the same experimental data, the comparison of the solutions of linear and nonlinear finite strain theory, as well as the numerical calculating results based on finite element method is presented. The results of the comparison show that the analytical solution obtained here takes on better agreement with practical cases than that of linear one, and they also show that, compared with the solutions based on nonlinear theory, the settlement and the consolidation degree based on linear theory are smaller. 展开更多

The present study aims at understanding the electrochemical impedance and biocorrosion characteristics of AZ91 Mg-alloy in Ringer’s solution.As-cast AZ91 Mg-alloy was subjected to T4 heat treatment in a way to homogenize its microstructure by dissolving most of theβ-Mg 17 Al 12 phase at the vicinity of grain boundaries.The electrochemical impedance and biocorrosion performances of these two different microstructures(as-cast and T4 heat treated AZ91 Mg-alloys)in Ringer solution were evaluated by electrochemical impendence spectroscopy,potentiodynamic polarization and weight loss method.EIS spectra showed that both microstructures exhibit similar dynamic response as a function of the immersion time;however,the value of impedance and maximum phase angle are about 50%higher in as-cast AZ91 Mg-alloy as compared to that of homogenized AZ91 Mg-alloy.Weight loss measurement indicated that corrosion resistance of as-cast AZ91 was significantly better than that of homogenized AZ91.Microstructural and XRD analysis revealed that as-cast AZ91 contains a passive film of MgCO_(3)and CaCO_(3)precipitates with near spherical morphologies,whereas homogenized AZ91 comprised mainly unstable Mg(OH)_(2)film featured by irregular plate-like morphologies. 展开更多

This paper proposes an efficient method for optimal power flow solution (OPF) using particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique. The objective of the proposed method is to find the steady state operation point in a power system which minimizes the fuel cost, while maintaining an acceptable system performance in terms of limits on generator power, line flow limits and voltage limits. In order to improvise the performance of the conventional PSO (cPSO), the fine tuning parameters- the inertia weight and acceleration coefficients are formulated in terms of global-local best values of the objective function. These global-local best inertia weight (GLBestlW) and global-local best acceleration coefficient (GLBestAC) are incorporated into PSO in order to compute the optimal power flow solution. The proposed method has been tested on the standard IEEE 30 bus test system to prove its efficacy. The results are compared with those obtained through cPSO. It is observed that the proposed algorithm is computationally faster, in terms of the number of load flows executed and provides better results than the conventional heuristic techniques. 展开更多

Erwinia (E) gum, an extracellular polysaccharide, is composed of fucose, galatose, glucose and glucuronic acid. Its viscosity behavior was investigated by a low-shear-rate multiball viscometer and a rotational viscometer. Its weight-average molecular weight M-w and intrinsic viscosity [eta] in 0.2 mol/L NaCl aqueous solution were measured by light scattering method at 35 degrees C and viscometry at 25 degrees C and found to be 1.06 x 10(6) g/mol and 1050 mL/g, respectively, and its aggregates in aqueous solution were proved by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). These results indicated that E gum in water has exceedingly high viscosity and exhibits Binham fluid behavior, owing to its aggregation. The viscosity of E gum decreased with increasing temperature, and the turning point appeared at 38 degrees C for dilute solution and 80 degrees C for concentrated solution suggesting that the aggregates of E gum in water started to disaggregate under these temperatures. In addition, the aggregates can be disrupted by adding either acid or base. The experimental results indicated that the E gum is a good thickening agent, and its fluid behavior is similar to xanthan. 展开更多

The EIO model only considers the correction of the observation vector, but doesn't consider to correct all elements in the design matrix as the EIV(Errors-In-Variables) model does, furthermore, the dimension of cofactor matrix is much smaller. Iterative algorithms for the parameter estimation and their precise covariance matrix are derived rigorously, and the computation steps are also presented. The proposed approach considers the correction of the observations in the coefficient matrix, and ensures their agreements in every matrix elements. Parameters and corrections can be solved at the same time.An approximate solution and a precise solution of the covariance matrix can be achieved by corresponding algorithms. Applications of EIO model and the proposed algorithms are demonstrated with several examples. The results and comparative studies show that the proposed EIO model and algorithms are feasible and reliable for general adjustment problems. 展开更多
