With the coupling effects of lateral, torsional and axial vibrations taken into account, a lumped-parameter nonlinear dynamic model of helical gearrotor-bearing system (HGRBS) is established to obtain the transmission system dynamic response to the changes of dif- ferent parameters. The vibration differential equations of the drive system are derived through the Lagrange equation, which considers the kinetic and potential energies, the dis- sipative function and the internal/external excitation. Based on the Runge-Kutta numerical method, the dynamics of the HGRBS is investigated, which describes vibration properties of HGRBS more comprehensively. The results show that the vibration amplitudes have obvious fluctuation, and the frequency multiplication and random frequency components become increasingly obvious with changing rotational speed and eccentricity at gear and bearing positions. Axial vibration of the HGRBS also has some fluctuations. The bearing has self-variable stiffness frequency, which should be avoided in engineering design. In addition, the bearing clearance needs little attention due to its slightly discernible effect on vibration response. It is suggested that a careful examination should be made in modelling the nonlinear dynamic behavior of a helical gear-rotor-bearing system.展开更多

This paper presents a new scenario called virtual cutting in the context of the transfer matrix method of linear multibody systems closed- loop topology for computing the free vibration characteristics of elastically coupled flexible launch vehicle boosters. In this approach, the coupled system is idealized as a triple-beam system-like structure coupled by linear translational springs, where a non-uniform free-free Euler-Bemoulli beam is used. A large thrust-to-weight ratio leads to large axial accelera- tions that result in an axial inertia load distribution from nose to tail. Consequently, it causes the development of significant compressive forces along the length of the launch vehicle. Therefore, it is important to take into account this effect in the transverse vibration model. This scenario does not need the global dynamics equations of a system, and it has high computational efficiency and low memory requirements. The validity of the presented scenario is achieved through com- parison to other approaches published in the literature.展开更多

Based on the large deflection theories of von Krmn and the theory of thermoelasticity, the whole governing equations and their simplified type are derived. The time-spatial variables are separated by Galerkin's technique, thus reducing the governing equations to a system of time-dependent nonlinear ordinary differential equation. By means of regular perturbation method and multiple-scales method, the first-order approximate analytical solution for characteristic relation of frequency vs amplitude parameters along with the decay rate of amplitude are obtained, and the effects of different geometric parameters and coupling factors as well as boundary conditions on thermoelastically coupled nonlinear vibration behaviors are discussed.展开更多

The governing equation of free vibration and its corresponding eigenvalue problem, which is a set of equations for laterally flexural vibrations in two different directions coupled by a warping-St. Venant torsional vibration, are derived. Based on the Calerkin method, a generalized approximate method is developed for the analysis of coupled vibration and thus proposed for determining the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the structure in triply-coupled vibration. The results of the proposed method for the example structure show good agreement with those of the FEM analysis. 文摘In the present study, the dynamic response of block foundations of different equivalent radius to mass(R;/m) ratios under coupled vibrations is investigated for various homogeneous and layered systems. The frequency-dependent stiffness and damping of foundation resting on homogeneous soils and rocks are determined using the half-space theory. The dynamic response characteristics of foundation resting on the layered system considering rock-rock combination are evaluated using finite element program with transmitting boundaries.Frequencies versus amplitude responses of block foundation are obtained for both translational and rotational motion.A new methodology is proposed for determination of dynamic response of block foundations resting on soil-rock and weathered rock-rock system in the form of equations and graphs. The variations of dimensionless natural frequency and dimensionless resonant amplitude with shear wave velocity ratio are investigated for different thicknesses of top soil/weathered rock layer. The dynamic behaviors of block foundations are also analyzed for different rock-rock systems by considering sandstone, shale and limestone underlain by basalt. The variations of stiffness, damping and amplitudes of block foundations with frequency are shown in this study for various rock—rock combinations. In the analysis, two resonant peaks are observed at two different frequencies for both translational and rotational motion. It is observed that the dimensionless resonant amplitudes decrease and natural frequencies increase with increase in shear wave velocity ratio. Finally, the parametric study is performed for block foundations with dimensions of 4 m × 3 m × 2 m and 8m×5m×2m by using generalized graphs. The variations of natural frequency and peak displacement amplitude are also studied for different top layer thicknesses and eccentric moments.

文摘The steel turnout is one of the key components in the medium–low-speed maglev line system. However, the vehicle under active control is prone to vehicle–turnout coupled vibration, and thus,it is necessary to identify the vibration characteristics of this coupled system through field tests. To this end, dynamic performance tests were conducted on a vehicle–turnout coupled system in a medium–low-speed maglev test line.Firstly, the dynamic response data of the coupled system under various operating conditions were obtained. Then, the natural vibration characteristics of the turnout were analysed using the free attenuation method and the finite element method, indicating a good agreement between the simulation results and the measured results;the acceleration response characteristics of the coupled system were analysed in detail, and the ride quality of the vehicle was assessed by Sperling index. Finally, the frequency distribution characteristics of the coupled system were discussed. All these test results could provide references for model validation and optimized design of medium–low-speed maglev transport systems.

文摘The torsional oscillation characteristics on the bending and torsioh coupled vibration of rotary shaft system were investigated using the elasto-dynamic theory and other mathematic methods, such as difference approach, Fourier transform, and wavelet transform. It is concluded that mass eccentricity and other exciting modalities affect the bending and torsion coupled vibration of rotary shafts. Torsional vibration caused by bending vibration features linearity along with the change of amplitude of bending vibration. Meanwhile, energy spectrum concentrates on high frequency area with the wavelet analysis.

文摘Coupled-plate structures are widely used in the practical engineering such as aeronautical, civil and naval engineering etc.Limited works can be found on the vibration of the coupled-plate structure due to the increased mathematical complexity compared with the single plate structure. In order to study analytically the vibration characteristics and power transmission of the coupled-plate structure,an analytical model consisting of three coupled plates elastically restrained along boundary edges and elastically coupled with arbitrary angle is considered,in which four groups of springs are distributed consistently along each edge of the model to simulate the transverse shearing forces, bending moments,in-plane longitudinal forces and in-plane shearing forces separately. With elastic coupling condition and general boundary condition of both flexural and in-plane vibrations taken into account by setting the stiffness of corresponding springs, the double Fourier series solution to the dynamic response of the structure was obtained by employing the Rayleigh-Ritz method. In order to validate the model, the natural frequency and velocity response of the model are firstly checked against results published in literatures and the ANSYS data, and good agreement was observed. Then, numerical simulation of the effects of several relevant parameters on the vibration characteristics and power transmission of the coupled structure were performed, including boundary conditions, coupling conditions, coupling angle, and location of the external forces.Vibration and energy transmission behaviors were analyzed numerically. The results show that the power transmission can be significantly influenced by the boundary restraints and the location of excitation. When the excitation is located at the central symmetry point of the model, the energy flow shows a symmetrical distribution.Once the location deviates from the central symmetry point, the power circumfluence occurs and the vortex energy field is formed at high frequency.

文摘A simple and efficient coupled displacement field method is developed to study the large amplitude free vibration behavior of the moderately thick square plates.A single term trigonometric admissible displacement field is assumed for one of the variables, say, the total rotations(in both X,Y directions).Making use of the coupling equation, the spatial variation for the lateral displacement field is derived in terms of the total rotations. The coupled displacement field method makes the energy formulation to contain half the number of unknown independent coefficients,in the case of a square plate, contrary to the conventional RayleighRitz method. The lesser number of undetermined coefficients significantly simplifies the vibration problem. The expressions for the linear and nonlinear fundamental frequency parameters for the all edges simply supported moderately thick square plates are derived. The numerical results obtained from the present formulation are in very good agreement with those obtained from the existing literature.
文摘The problem of axisymmetric nonlinear vibration for shallow thin spherical and conical shells when temperature and strain fields are coupled is studied. By means of regular perturbation method and multiple-scales method, the first-order approximate analytical solution for characteristic relation of frequency vs amplitude parameters along with the decay rate of amplitude are obtained, and the effects of different geometric parameters and coupling factors as well as boundary conditions on thermoelastically coupled nonlinear vibration behaviors are discussed.
文摘This paper presents an analysis of the coupled vibration of asymmetric core structures in tall buildings. The proposed method has been shown to provide a simple and rapid, yet accurate, means for coupled vibration analysis of core structures.
文摘In this paper,an accurate series solution for the longitudinal vibration analysis of elastically coupled nanorods system is established,in which artificial springs are introduced to simulate such general coupling and boundary conditions.Energy formulation is derived for the description of axial dynamics of multiple coupled nanorods based on Eringen nonlocal elasticity. For each nanorod component, its longitudinal vibration displacement function is invariantly assumed as the superposition of Fourier series and boundary smoothed supplementary polynomials, with the aim to make all the spatial differential sufficiently continuous across each rod.All the unknown coefficients are determined in conjunction with Rayleigh-Ritz procedure to solve a standard eigenvalue matrix.Numerical results are presented for the particular cases of twonanorod and three-nanorod systems to demonstrate the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed model.Excellent agreements can be repeatedly observed in comparison with those from other approaches available in literature.Based on the model established, influence of elastic boundary and coupling conditions on the longitudinal modal characteristics of multiple nanorods system is investigated and addressed. This work can provide an efficient energy-based modeling framework for longitudinal vibration analysis of elastically connected nanorod system with complicated boundary conditions.

文摘To numerically evaluate the reinforcement effect on dynamic characteristics of a concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge with vibration problems,a 12-degree-of-freedom sprung-mass dynamic vehicle model and a 3D finite element bridge model were established. Then, the coupled equations of vehicle-bridge interaction were derived and a computer program was developed using the FORTRAN language. This program can accurately simulate vehicle-bridge coupled vibration considering the bumping effect and road surface irregularity during motion of the vehicle. The simulated results were compared with those of relevant literatures to verify the correctness of the self-developed program. Then, three reinforcement schemes for the bridge(Addition of longitudinal beams,Reinforcement of bridge decks, and Replacement of suspenders)were proposed and numerically simulated, and the vibration reduction effects of the three schemes were evaluated based on the numerical results to find effective ones.It is confirmed that the reinforcement scheme of Addition of longitudinal beams shows the most significant vibration reduction effect. It is recommended in the engineering practice that the combination of the reinforcement schemes of Addition of longitudinal beams and Replacement of bridge deck can be used to solve the excessive vibration problem.
文摘For establishing the refined numerical simulation model for coupled vibration between vehicle and bridge, the refined three-dimensional vehicle model is setup by multi-body system dynamics method, and finite element method of dynamic model is adopted to model the bridge. Taking Yujiang River Bridge on Nanning-Guangzhou railway line in China as study background, the?refined numerical simulation model of whole vehicle and whole bridge system for coupled vibration analysis is set up. The dynamic analysis model of the cable-stayed bridge is established by finite element method, and the natural vibration properties of the bridge are analyzed. The German ICE Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) train refined three-dimensional space vehicle model is set up by multi-system dynamics software SIMPACK, and the multiple non-linear properties are considered. The space vibration responses are calculated by co-simulation based on multi-body system dynamics and finite element method when the ICE EMU train passes the long span cable-stayed bridge at different speeds. In order to test if the bridge has the sufficient lateral or vertical rigidity and the operation stability is fine. The calculation results show: The operation safety can be guaranteed, and comfort?index is “excellent”. The bridge has sufficient rigidity, and vibration is in good condition.
