The potential application of tuned liquid column damper (TLCD) for suppressing wind-induced vibration of long span bridges is explored in this paper.By installing the TLCD in the bridge deck,a mathematical model for the bridge-TLCD system is established.The governing equations of the system are developed by considering all three displacement components of the deck in vertical,lateral,and torsional vibrations,in which the interactions between the bridge deck,the TLCD,the aeroelastic forces,and the aerodynamic forces are fully reflected.Both buffeting and flutter analyses are carried out.The buffeting analysis is performed through random vibration approach,and a critical flutter condition is identified from flutter analysis.A numerical example is presented to demonstrate the control effectiveness of the damper and it is shown that the TLCD can be an effective device for suppressing wind-induced vibration of long span bridges,either for reducing the buffeting response or increasing the critical flutter wind velocity of the bridge. 展开更多

Streamline box girders are widely applied in the design and construction of long-span bridges all over the world. In order to study the influence of modifications of aerodynamic configuration and accessory components on flutter and vortex-induced vibration (VIV), more than 60 cases were tested through a 1:50 scale section model. The test results indicates that the aerodynamic configuration and accessory components of streamline box girders can signifi- cantly affect the wind-induced vibration of bridge, which is in good agreement with the experience of past researchers. From the tests carried out, it is observed that if the horizontal angle of the inclined web of the streamline box girder is below 16°, the critical flutter wind speed of bridge will increase remarkably, and the VIV will diminish. The test results also show that the 15° inclined web can restrain the formation of vortex near the tail, and consequently improve the performance of aerodynamic stability of long-span bridges. Finally, a new streamline box girder with 15° inclined web was presented and strongly recommended in the aerodynamic configuration design of long-span bridges. 展开更多

A popular dynamical model for the vortex induced vibration(VIV)of a suspended flexible cable consists of two coupled equations.The first equation is a partial differential equation governing the cable vibration.The second equation is a wake oscillator that models the lift coefficient acting on the cable.The incoming wind acting on the cable is usually assumed as the uniform wind with a constant velocity,which makes the VIV model be a deterministic one.In the real world,however,the wind velocity is randomly fluctuant and makes the VIV of a suspended flexible cable be treated as a random vibration.In the present paper,the deterministic VIV model of a suspended flexible cable is modified to a random one by introducing the fluctuating wind.Using the normal mode approach,the random VIV system is transformed into an infinite-dimensional modal vibration system.Depending on whether a modal frequency is close to the aeolian frequency or not,the corresponding modal vibration is characterized as a resonant vibration or a non-resonant vibration.By applying the stochastic averaging method of quasi Hamiltonian systems,the response of modal vibrations in the case of resonance or non-resonance can be analytically predicted.Then,the random VIV response of the whole cable can be approximately calculated by superimposing the response of the most influential modal vibrations.Some numerical simulation results confirm the obtained analytical results.It is found that the intensity of the resonant modal vibration is much higher than that of the non-resonant modal vibration.Thus,the analytical results of the resonant modal vibration can be used as a rough estimation for the whole response of a cable. 展开更多

With time history analysis method, the displacement, velocity, acceleration and force response of the tower was calculated and analyzed. 为避免驰振俘能器高流速下PZT损坏,使其能在复杂工作环境中具有稳定的输出特性,该文提出了一种利用磁力控制悬臂梁振动幅值的压电-电磁复合俘能器(GPEEH)。引入的非线性磁力可以调控钝体的振幅,提高驰振压电俘能器(PEH)的输出稳定性,改... 为避免驰振俘能器高流速下PZT损坏,使其能在复杂工作环境中具有稳定的输出特性,该文提出了一种利用磁力控制悬臂梁振动幅值的压电-电磁复合俘能器(GPEEH)。引入的非线性磁力可以调控钝体的振幅,提高驰振压电俘能器(PEH)的输出稳定性,改善其对高风速环境的适应性,且能够增加复合俘能器的输出电压。在搭建风洞实验平台和制作实验样机的基础上,研究不同负载电阻、风速、关键结构参数d 0和d 1对俘能器输出特性的影响规律。实验结果表明,当PEH钝体的振幅被磁力限制在一定区间时,钝体的振动频率和速度随着风速的升高而逐渐增加。风速为11.5 m/s时,PEH振动主频率(6.3 Hz)是风速为8.4 m/s时PEH振动主频率(4.3 Hz)的1.4倍。当风速为12 m/s,GPEEH的输出功率为6.18 mW,相较于单一驰振压电俘能器的输出功率提高了47%。其中当风速达到10.5 m/s时,PEH和电磁俘能器(EEH)的输出功率均趋于稳定。 展开更多

In this paper, wind-induced vibration control of a single column tower of a cable-stayed bridge with a multi- stage pendulum mass damper (MSPMD) is investigated. Special attention is given to overcoming space limitations for installing the control device in the tower and the effect of varying natural frequency of the towers during construction. First, the finite element model of the bridge during its construction and the basic equation of motion of the MSPMD are introduced. The equation of motion of the bridge with the MSPMD under along-wind excitation is then established. Finally, a numerical simulation and parametric study are conducted to assess the effectiveness of the control system for reducing the wind-induced vibration of the bridge towers during construction. The numerical simulation results show that the MSPMD is practical and effective for reducing the along-wind response of the single column tower, can be installed in a small area of the tower, and complies with the time-variant characteristics of the bridge during its entire construction stage. 展开更多

The wind-induced vibration of the front windshield concerns the traffic safety and the aerodynamic characteristics of cars. In this paper, the numerical simulation and the experiment are combined to study the wind-induced vibrations of the front windshield at different speeds of a van-body model bus. The Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) model is used for the finite element analysis of the vibration characteristics of the front windshield glass in the travelling process, and the wind-induced vibration response characteristics of the glass is obtained. A wind-tunnel experiment with an eddy current displacement sensor is carried out to study the deformation of the windshield at different wind speeds, and to verify the numerical simulation results. It is shown that the windshield of the model bus windshield undergoes a noticeable deformation as the speed changes, and from the deformation curve obtained, it is seen that in the accelerating process, the deformation of the glass increases as the speed increases, and with the speed being stablized, it also tends to a certain value. The results of this study can provide a scientific basis for the safety design of the windshield and the body. 展开更多

The wind-rain induced vibration phenomena in the Dongting Lake Bridge (DLB) can be observed every year, and the field measurements of wind speed data of the bridge are usually nonstationary. Nonstationary wind speed can be decomposed into a deterministic time-varying mean wind speed and a zero-mean stationary fluctuating wind speed component. By using wavelet transform (WT), the time-varying mean wind speed is extracted and a nonstationary wind speed model is proposed in this paper. The wind characteristics of turbulence intensity, integral scale and probability distribution of the bridge are calculated from the typical wind samples recorded by the two anemometers installed on the DLB using the proposed nonstationary wind speed model based on WT. The calculated results are compared with those calculated by the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and traditional approaches. The compared results indicate that the wavelet-based nonstationary wind speed model is more reasonable and appropriate than the EMD-based nonstationary and traditional stationary models for characterizing wind speed in analysis of wind-rain-induced vibration of cables. 展开更多

西藏地区地处高海拔、大风环境,近年来该地区输电线路频发风偏闪络等事故,且常见以体型不均匀的“酒杯型”输电塔相关线路较为频发。鉴于此,文中开展西藏输电线路工程的“酒杯型”塔—线体系风致振动及风振系数设计研究,旨在为相关输电... 西藏地区地处高海拔、大风环境,近年来该地区输电线路频发风偏闪络等事故,且常见以体型不均匀的“酒杯型”输电塔相关线路较为频发。鉴于此,文中开展西藏输电线路工程的“酒杯型”塔—线体系风致振动及风振系数设计研究,旨在为相关输电线路合理抗风设计提供必要理论基础。研究过程和方法为:以西藏实际发生故障的“酒杯型”输电塔线路段为研究对象,采用输电铁塔及塔线体系的风致振动仿真分析方法,即利用Davenport风功率谱和AR法模型方法模拟脉动风荷载并施加于输电塔线体系有限元模型,结合随机振动理论计算输电铁塔的动态响应和风振系数;利用该方法对该输电线路进行仿真分析,探讨其塔线体系在强风环境下、不同风向角下的振动响应特征和风振系数影响规律;再将仿真结果对比现行设计规范,验证现行规范存在抗风设计不合理现象,亟需改进;基于此,文中提出输电塔—线体系的风振系数设计修正公式,整体误差10%以内,能准确反应西藏地区“酒杯型”输电塔相关线路的实际风振效应。文中研究为大风环境地区(西藏等)“酒杯型”输电塔合理抗风设计提供重要解决思路,具有较好的应用前景。 展开更多

In particular, building an integrated wind power generation system by installing a wind power generator inside a building is an attractive method to secure safe energy. However, most studies have dealt with the efficiency of wind turbines and the response effects of wind induced vibration; space preparation for wind turbine installations has not been sufficiently considered. This work reviewed the shapes of openings where wind turbines can be installed in skyscrapers, and the characteristics of wind induced vibration responses occurring in the building with changes in cross sectional area. Nine wind power models were constructed to carry out the experiment. According to the experimental results, wind speed varies with shape of opening in the order of C-type>S-type>R-type. 针对调谐液柱阻尼器(tuned liquid column damper, TLCD)难以建立其精确的非线性理论分析模型,且其力学性能试验成本高和耗时长等问题,首先采用计算流体动力学(CFD)数值模拟方法,对TLCD系统的力学性能和动力特征进行仿真模拟,在此基础... 针对调谐液柱阻尼器(tuned liquid column damper, TLCD)难以建立其精确的非线性理论分析模型,且其力学性能试验成本高和耗时长等问题,首先采用计算流体动力学(CFD)数值模拟方法,对TLCD系统的力学性能和动力特征进行仿真模拟,在此基础上进一步提出了基于计算流体动力学/计算结构动力学(CFD/CSD)耦合分析方法,求解带TLCD系统的高层建筑结构的风致动力响应。通过开展某一TLCD系统在特定底部激励下的力学性能和动力特性试验,得到其内液体晃荡的自由液面波高和晃动力时程,验证了CFD数值模拟方法可以准确地分析TLCD水箱内液体的非线性晃动特征。随后对风工程领域广泛采用的76层建筑结构振动控制Benchmark模型,假设其顶部设置TLCD系统时主体结构在三种风速重现期(10、50和100年)风速对应的横风向动力风荷载激励下的风致控制效率,采用提出的CFD/CSD耦合分析方法,进行了数值仿真模拟分析。耦合分析结果表明,TLCD系统对Benchmark模型的风致加速度、速度和位移响应均有一定的控制效果,对加速度响应的控制效果要优于对位移响应的控制效果。该研究方法可为复杂TLCD系统对高层建筑的风振控制分析提供有效的参考。 展开更多

钢-砼组合梁由于其良好的力学性能被广泛应用于大跨度桥梁建设中,但作为一种典型的钝体断面,其气动稳定性较差,对风的作用较敏感,易产生涡振现象。依托南镇大桥项目,以双边箱钢-砼组合梁悬索桥为分析背景,采用风洞试验与CFD数值模拟的方... 钢-砼组合梁由于其良好的力学性能被广泛应用于大跨度桥梁建设中,但作为一种典型的钝体断面,其气动稳定性较差,对风的作用较敏感,易产生涡振现象。依托南镇大桥项目,以双边箱钢-砼组合梁悬索桥为分析背景,采用风洞试验与CFD数值模拟的方法,研究对比单一、组合气动措施,包括封闭栏杆、改变检修车轨道位置、增加导流板、稳定板等,对该主梁原始断面的气动抑振性能进行分析。风洞试验表明,原设计双边箱钢-砼组合梁断面易引发涡振且出现竖弯与扭转耦合双峰涡振。当采用“封闭中央护栏+内移检修车轨道位置”组合气动措施时,可显著降低主梁的涡振振幅,制振效果显著。CFD数值模拟结果表明,双边箱钢-砼组合梁断面的涡振产生与上游边主梁及下游边主梁的涡脱尺寸有关,气动措施打碎涡脱尺寸有利于抑振。 展开更多

大跨越输电塔是一种高耸柔性结构,对动荷载,尤其是风荷载比较敏感,易产生较大的动力响应。对大跨越输电塔进行振动控制研究已成为电力工程与土木工程界的一个重要研究课题,既有其重要的理论意义,又有其重要的经济价值。该文以我国"... 大跨越输电塔是一种高耸柔性结构,对动荷载,尤其是风荷载比较敏感,易产生较大的动力响应。对大跨越输电塔进行振动控制研究已成为电力工程与土木工程界的一个重要研究课题,既有其重要的理论意义,又有其重要的经济价值。该文以我国"十一五"期间的重大工程之一,特高压项目晋东南-南阳-荆门1000kV汉江大跨越输电线路工程为研究背景。介绍了橡胶铅芯阻尼器在输电塔-线体系风振控制中的应用;风速场的数值模拟;不同风向角动风作用下的风振控制效果研究。并通过对钢管的轴向变形、纯刚度的影响、静风荷载的响应和输电塔可靠度的研究,验证了阻尼器的控制效果。通过对五种风向角动风作用下塔身位移、主材内力的分析计算表明:所设计的控制方案在不同风向角作用下都能达到很好的减振效果,为将来类似的工程应用提供了参考。 展开更多
