文摘Music education under the frame name of arts education has been integrated into the primary and secondary education curriculums in Hong Kong for more than 20 years, starting from 2001,the year of launching the Learning to Learn curriculum for the reconstruction of the education system for the younger generation.Music education, embedded into the arts education, was therefore regarded as one of the key subjects to cultivate and uplift student holistic development, focusing on aesthetic skill training and moral growth development. This research was an exploration study of music teaching practices from two private international and two general public school music teachers at the primary school level. The value of this study rested on borrowing the idea of Shulman’s pedagogical content knowledge(PCK)principle to create a social constructivist music teaching framework from five commonly-used instructional methods, namely,Orff,Kodaly,Dalcrozes,Suzuki, and Gordon’s approaches.Based on the evaluations of these four case studies, hypotheses on the differences in the PCK were tested with the types of schools and found to be no difference. The preliminary results suggested that music teachers in private international schools had similar pedagogical approaches to music instruction to teachers in aided-public schools.Additionally, the modeling, guiding, and training approach was identified as a grounded teaching method for music education at the primary school level regardless of different types of schools.Other implications like the further development of the framework were discussed.
文摘The purpose of the article is to present several topics in Russian music of the Soviet era(roughly 1920-1990).The time that has passed since the fall of the Iron Curtain allows us to rethink and revise the cultural treasures of seven decades and reassess new research of the last decade, carried out both by people who previously gained a reputation as an authority in Soviet culture, and by scientists who came from this environment and began sharing their vision of the subject after acquiring the skills of a Western scholar. The article is based mainly on the latter research and tries to see its subject as a complete picture, albeit with missing details,so to speak,a postmodern picture that requires the reader to participate in its refinement. The methodological basis of this study is working with published sources through the critical lens of cultural anthropology as it has developed and presently looks.

文摘Globally, cancer cases and mortality have recently escalated and have attracted global concern. The clinical diagnosis and manifestation of cancer can result in significant mental health issues like depression and anxiety disorders. The tendency of people with cancer to suffer from psychological disorders such as anxiety and depression is usually high.A significant number of deaths related to cancer may likely not be from the killer disease but from psychological disorders associated with the illness. The utilization of music as a remedial approach to healing mental disorders cannot be overstated. Thus, identifying the impacts of music therapy in dealing with depression and anxiety disorders among people with cancer is relevant,as the majority of methods used in treating cancer have some side effects which may trigger psychological disorders in cancer patients.Ultimately, this study explored the significance of music therapy in treating depression and anxiety disorders among people with cancer. To achieve the aim of this study, the authors employed a narrative literature review to investigate the significance of music therapy in addressing depression and anxiety disorders among people with cancer. The type of literature review employed in this study is to provide an understanding of the selected research papers. The review found that music therapy significantly reduces depression and anxiety disorders among breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, and colorectal cancer patients. It is needful for healthcare providers to incorporate music therapy interventions while treating people with cancer. This will help reduce cancer deaths resulting from psychological disorders rather than the killer disease, cancer. However, the standardized procedures and evaluation criteria for applying music-based intervention strategies in oncology medicine still need to be further established and improved.
