In recent years,with the prevailing of Chinese traditional culture,the related“classic education(经典教育jingdianjiaoyu)”debate ensued.Some scholars strongly oppose the“classical education”and think that make children memorize mechanicallyand forced recite,without understand about Confucian classes deviate from the modern“children’s center-based education”and“ideas violate scientific”and to be“an ancient and retrogression”,“ignorance of cultural conservatism”.They advocating that“things other than children’s lives cannot be forcibly entered into the lives of children,”otherwise it will be“a killing of childhood innocence and stifling the lives of children”,and imprisonment of children’s life.To sum up this fierce argument,the main issues of debate are generally not out of the following four aspects:(1)why do we need classic enlightenment?(2)the purpose and utility of the classic enlightenment?(3)the content and methods of classic enlightenment?(4)the timing of the classic enlightenment?In response to these four points of view,Mr.Wangfuzhi,who was 400 years ago,also put forward his own ideas.This article is not intended to participate in this controversy.Instead,it wants to understand Wangfuzhi’s“ideas of classical enlightenment”to understand how the ancients advocated these four issues.For modern people’s reference.

The Renditions Series and Modern Chinese Literature’s “Going-out”: Its Model and Enlightenment of Translation, Communication and Dissemination

In the process of Chinese Literature’s “Going-out” project, it istypical of the dilemma faced by the external translation and dissemination of modernChinese literature. The Renditions Series serves as a classical case of providing aneffective model of “literature’s overseas distribution”. From the successful model of translation of Renditions Series,five implications can be made out for the modern Chinese literature’s “Going-global”:domestic and overseas translators cooperate well with all-round cultural identities; theselection holds onto diversification and literary character; various spreading channelsshould be broadened; target readers should be accurately located and continuouslywidened; translating and disseminating effects can be focused on and analyzed, so asto adjust and improve the corresponding sections in the model.

China is currently facing the problem of large-scale destruction of the overall cityscape brought about by the rapid development of the city. The 1787 Drama Dictionary as an Instrument of Enlightenment in Imperial Russia

The Russian theatre has not been neglected in the studies on theatre history, literary criticism and dramatic arts. The paper attempts to have a look at the 1787 Drama Dictionary, the first theatre reference book published in the country （with a very long Russian title containing 35 words） as a cultural product of the Enlightenment Age produced by its representative. In the introduction to the dictionary the compiler says that the publication would help young people develop a taste for refined entertainment and reject violent leisure activities of the past, enjoy theatre and learn life moral lessons from it. He considers theatre as a powerful means of changing Russian society as has been demanded by the Enlightenment Age. The structural and sociocultural analyses of 1787 Drama Dictionary materials give us an insight into some ways of westernising Russian society through theatre and how this westernisation was reflected in the theatre terminology of the time. I have argued that Russian-European Relationships resulting in the westernisation of Russian theatre theory and practices went hand in hand with the Russian translation-adaptation of Western plays and adaptation of some Western cultural patterns of social thinking and behaviour without rejecting completely the national identity in newly-born Russian dramatic literature.
