The aim of the developed control method is to automatically tune and optimize the scaling factors and the membership functions of the Fuzzy Logic Controllers (FLC) using Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithms (MOGA) and Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization (MOPSO). Two Pulse Width Modulated voltage source PWM converters with a carrier-based Sinusoidal PWM modulation for both Generator- and Grid-side converters have been connected back to back between the generator terminals and utility grid via common DC link. The indirect vector control scheme is implemented to maintain balance between generated power and power supplied to the grid and maintain the terminal voltage of the generator and the DC bus voltage constant for variable rotor speed and load. Simulation study has been carried out using the MATLAB/Simulink environment to verify the robustness of the power electronics converters and the effectiveness of proposed control method under steady state and transient conditions and also machine parameters mismatches. The proposed control scheme has improved the voltage regulation and the transient performance of the wave energy scheme over a wide range of operating conditions.展开更多

Challenge is to identify the vulnerable nodes and apply the effective corrective actions. This paper presents a probabilistic fuzzy approach to assess the node status and proposes feeder reconfiguration as a method to address the same. Feeder reconfiguration is altering the topological structures of distribution feeders by changing the open/closed states of the sectionalizing and ties switches. The solution is converge using a probabilistic fuzzy modeled solution, which defines the nodal vulnerability index (VI) as a function of node voltage and node voltage stability index and predicts nodes critical to voltage collapse. The information is further used to plan best combination of feeders from each loop in distribution system to be switched out such that the resulting configuration gives the optimal performance i.e. best voltage profile and minimal kW losses. The proposed method is tested on established radial distribution system and results are presented.展开更多

Methodologically, the geographic information system (GIS) is used to determine the optimum site for a solar power plant. It is intended to integrate the qualitative and quantitative variables based upon the adoption of the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy AHP) and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) model. These methods are employed to unite the environmental aspects and social needs for electrical power systematically. Regarding a case study of the choice of a solar power plant site in Thailand, it demonstrates that the quantitative and qualitative criteria should be realized prior to analysis in the Fuzzy AHP-TOPSIS model. The fuzzy AHP is employed to determine the weights of qualitative and quantitative criteria that can affect the selection process. The adoption of the fuzzy AHP is aimed to model the linguistic unclear, ambiguous, and incomplete knowledge. Additionally, TOPSIS, which is a ranking multi-criteria decision making method, is employed to rank the alternative sites based upon overall efficiency. The contribution of this paper lies in the evolution of a new approach that is flexible and practical to the decision maker, in providing the guidelines for the solar power plant site choices under stakeholder needs: at the same time, the desirable functions are achieved, in avoiding flood, reducing cost, time and causing less environmental impact. The new approach is assessed in the empirical study during major flooding in Thailand during the fourth quarter of 2011 to 2012. The result analysis and sensitivity analysis are also presented.展开更多

We propose here two novel classification approaches to this problem: one based on the use of the powerful type-2 fuzzy logic systems (type-2 FLS) and the other on the use of the discriminative sensitivity-based linear learning method (SBLLM). The use of prosodic features has been used in a plethora of practical applications, including speech-related applications, such as speaker and word recognition, emotion and accent identification, topic and sentence segmentation, and text-to-speech applications. In this paper, we continue to specifically focus on the Arabic language, as other languages have received a lot of attention in this regard. Moreover, we aim to improve the performance of our previously-used techniques, of which the support vector machine (SVM) method was the best performing, by applying the two above-mentioned powerful classification approaches. The recorded continuous speech is first segmented into sentences using both energy and time duration parameters. The prosodic features are then extracted from each sentence and fed into each of the two proposed classifiers so as to classify each sentence as a Question or a Non-Question sentence. Our extensive simulation work, based on a moderately-sized database, showed the two proposed classifiers outperform SVM in all of the experiments carried out, with the type-2 FLS classifier consistently exhibiting the best performance, because of its ability to handle all forms of uncertainties.展开更多

We lay here the foundations of a postmodern fuzzy set and fuzzy logic theory addressing these issues by deconstructing fuzzy truth values and fuzzy set membership functions to re-capture the human knowledge and subjectivity structure in membership function evaluations. We formulate a fractal multi-modal logic of Kabbalah which integrates the cognitive, emotional and behavioral levels of humanistic systems into epistemic and modal, deontic and doxastic and dynamic multi-modal logic. This is done by creating a fractal multi-modal Kabbalah possible worlds semantic frame of Kripke model type. The Kabbalah possible worlds semantic frame integrates together both the multi-modal logic aspects and their Kripke possible worlds model. We will not focus here on modal operators and axiom sets. We constructively define a fractal multi-modal Kabbalistic L-fuzzy set as the central concept of the postmodern fuzzy set theory based on Kabbalah logic and semantics.展开更多

The method could deal with the issue that input variables of a system have an effect on the input space while output variables of the system do not exert an influence on the input space in the proposed objective functions of fuzzy clustering. The method could simultaneously solve the problems about structure identification and parameter estimation; thus it makes the fuzzy model become optimal. Simulation example demonstrates that the method could identify non linear systems and obviously improve modeling accuracy.展开更多

The initial values of cluster centers are identified by the Hough transformation, which considers the linearity and continuity of given input-output data, respectively. For the premise parts parameters identification, we use fuzzy-C-means clustering method. The consequent parameters are identified based on recursive least square. This method not only makes approximation more accurate, but also let computation be simpler and the procedure is realized more easily. Finally, it is shown that this method is useful for the identification of a fuzzy model by simulation.展开更多

A novel gene coding sequence identification method is proposed in this paper. Firstly, an improved short-time Fourier transform algorithm based on Morlet wavelet is applied to extract the power spectrum of DNA sequence. Then, threshold value determination method based on kernel fuzzy C-mean clustering is used to combine Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) data of exon and intron into a sequence, classify the sequence into two types, calculate the weighted sum of two SNR clustering centers obtained and the discrimination threshold value. Finally, exon interval endpoint identification algorithm based on Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy identification model is presented to train Takagi-Sugeno model, optimize model parameters with Levenberg-Marquardt least square method, complete model and determine fuzzy rule. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, example tests are conducted on typical gene sequence sample data.展开更多

In order to optimize the model of the nonlinear dynamic system, a fuzzy modeling method for determining the premise structure by selecting important inputs of the system is studied. Firstly, a simplified two stage fuzzy curves method is proposed, which is employed to sort all possible inputs by their relevance with outputs, select the important input variables of the system and identify the structure.Secondly, in order to reduce the complexity of the model, the standard fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm and the recursive least squares algorithm are used to identify the premise parameters and conclusion parameters, respectively. Then, the effectiveness of IVS is verified by two well-known issues. Finally, the proposed identification method is applied to a realistic variable load pneumatic system. The simulation experiments indi cate that the IVS method in this paper has a positive influence on the approximation performance of the Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy modeling.展开更多

Current diagnostic methods, including mammography and MRI, suffer from limitations such as uncertainty and imprecise data, leading to late-stage diagnoses. To address this, various expert systems have been developed, but many rely on type-1 fuzzy logic and lack mobile-based applications for data collection and feedback to healthcare practitioners. This research investigates the development of an Enhanced Mobile-based Fuzzy Expert system (EMFES) for breast cancer pre-growth prognosis. The study explores the use of type-2 fuzzy logic to enhance accuracy and model uncertainty effectively. Additionally, it evaluates the advantages of employing the python programming language over java for implementation and considers specific risk factors for data collection. The research aims to dynamically generate fuzzy rules, adapting to evolving breast cancer research and patient data. Key research questions focus on the comparative effectiveness of type-2 fuzzy logic, the handling of uncertainty and imprecise data, the integration of mobile-based features, the choice of programming language, and the creation of dynamic fuzzy rules. Furthermore, the study examines the differences between the Mamdani Inference System and the Sugeno Fuzzy Inference method and explores challenges and opportunities in deploying the EMFES on mobile devices. The research identifies a critical gap in existing breast cancer diagnostic systems, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive, mobile-enabled, and adaptable solution by developing an EMFES that leverages Type-2 fuzzy logic, the Sugeno Inference Algorithm, Python Programming, and dynamic fuzzy rule generation. This study seeks to enhance early breast cancer detection and ultimately reduce breast cancer-related mortality.展开更多

By harvesting these advantages of IR-UWB technology at the physical-layer design, this paper proposes that a cross layer architecture platform can be considered as a good integrator for different wireless short-ranges indoor protocols into a universal smart wireless-tagged architecture with new promising applications in cognitive radio for future applications. Adaptive transmission algorithms have been studied to show the trade-off between different specific QoS requirements, transmission rates and distances at the physical layer level and this type of dynamic optimization and reconfiguration leads to the cross-layer design proposal in the paper. We constructively define a fractal multi-modal Kabbalistic L-fuzzy set as the central concept of the postmodern fuzzy set theory based on Kabbalah logic and semantics.
文摘A method of fuzzy identification based on a new objective function is proposed. Simulation example demonstrates that the method could identify non linear systems and obviously improve modeling accuracy.

文摘This paper presents an approach that is useful for the identification of a fuzzy model in SISO system. Finally, it is shown that this method is useful for the identification of a fuzzy model by simulation.
文摘Sequence analysis technology under big data provides unprecedented opportunities for modern life science. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, example tests are conducted on typical gene sequence sample data.

文摘Input variables selection(IVS) is proved to be pivotal in nonlinear dynamic system modeling. The simulation experiments indi cate that the IVS method in this paper has a positive influence on the approximation performance of the Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy modeling.

文摘The rapid identification of lactic acid bacteria, which are essential microorganisms in the food industry,is of great significance for industrial applications. The identification of lactic acid bacteria traditionally relies on the isolation and identification of pure colonies. While this method is well-established and widely used,it is not without limitations. The subjective judgment inherent in the isolation and purification process introduces potential for error, and the incomplete nature of the isolation process can result in the loss of valuable information. The advent of next generation sequencing has provided a novel approach to the rapid identification of lactic acid bacteria. This technology offers several advantages, including rapidity, accuracy, high throughput, and low cost.Next generation sequencing represents a significant advancement in the field of DNA sequencing. Its ability to rapidly and accurately identify lactic acid bacteria strains in samples with insufficient information or in the presence of multiple lactic acid bacteria sets it apart as a valuable tool. The application of this technology not only circumvents the potential errors inherent in the traditional method but also provides a robust foundation for the expeditious identification of lactic acid bacteria strains and the authentication of bacterial powder in industrial applications. This paper commences with an overview of traditional and molecular biology methods for the identification of lactic acid bacteria. While each method has its own advantages, they are not without limitations in practical application.Subsequently, the paper provides an introduction of the principle, process, advantages, and disadvantages of next generation sequencing, and also details its application in strain identification and rapid identification of lactic acid bacteria. The objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive and reliable basis for the rapid identification of industrial lactic acid bacteria strains and the authenticity identification of bacterial powder.
文摘Breast cancer remains a significant global health challenge, necessitating effective early detection and prognosis to enhance patient outcomes. This study seeks to enhance early breast cancer detection and ultimately reduce breast cancer-related mortality.

文摘Taking the Lower Permian Fengcheng Formation shale in Mahu Sag of Junggar Basin,NW China,as an example, core observation, test analysis, geological analysis and numerical simulation were applied to identify the shale oil micro-migration phenomenon. The hydrocarbon micro-migration in shale oil was quantitatively evaluated and verified by a self-created hydrocarbon expulsion potential method, and the petroleum geological significance of shale oil micro-migration evaluation was determined. Results show that significant micro-migration can be recognized between the organic-rich lamina and organic-poor lamina. The organic-rich lamina has strong hydrocarbon generation ability. The heavy components of hydrocarbon preferentially retained by kerogen swelling or adsorption, while the light components of hydrocarbon were migrated and accumulated to the interbedded felsic or carbonate organic-poor laminae as free oil.About 69% of the Fengcheng Formation shale samples in Well MY1 exhibit hydrocarbon charging phenomenon, while 31% of those exhibit hydrocarbon expulsion phenomenon. The reliability of the micro-migration evaluation results was verified by combining the group components based on the geochromatography effect,two-dimension nuclear magnetic resonance analysis, and the geochemical behavior of inorganic manganese elements in the process of hydrocarbon migration.Micro-migration is a bridge connecting the hydrocarbon accumulation elements in shale formations, which reflects the whole process of shale oil generation, expulsion and accumulation, and controls the content and composition of shale oil.The identification and evaluation of shale oil micro-migration will provide new perspectives for dynamically differential enrichment mechanism of shale oil and establishing a“multi-peak model in oil generation”of shale.
文摘Recently, many studies propose the use of ultra-wideband technology for passive and active radio frequency identification systems as well as for wireless sensor networks due to its numerous advantages. Studies from both theoretical simulation and statistical indoor environments experiments are considered as a proof of concept for the proposed architecture.

文摘For identifying the tire/road friction coefficient accurately in real-time to meet the needs of automobile electronic control system and then improving the active safety performance of automobile, the road recognition method based on fuzzy control algorithm was studied in this paper. Adopt a 7-DOF vehicle dynamic model, wheel slip ratio 2 and longitudinal forces Fx as the input of fuzzy controller with fuzzy rules was proposed. The output is the weight coefficient of p-2 functional expression which is related to cl, c2 and c3 proposed by Burckhardt etc. By a simulation experiment of automobile brake on the condition of driving straight or veering on a single road and docking pavement, to some extent, indicates that this method is able to guarantee the real-time and accuracy of the road identification.
