We carry out an ultra-low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiment based on high-T c superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs). The measurement field is in a micro-tesla range (~10 μT-100 μT) and the experiment is conducted in a home-made magnetically-shielded-room (MSR). The measurements are performed by the indirect coupling method in which the signal of nuclei precession is indirectly coupled to the SQUID through a tuned copper coil transformer. In such an arrangement, the interferences of applied measurement and polarization field to the SQUID sensor are avoided and the performance of the SQUID is not destroyed. In order to compare the detection sensitivity obtained by using the SQUID with that achieved using a conventional low-noise-amplifier, we perform the measurements using a commercial room temperature amplifier. The results show that in a wide frequency range (~1 kHz-10 kHz) the measurements with the SQUID sensor exhibit a higher signal-to-noise ratio. Further, we discuss the dependence of NMR peak magnitude on measurement frequency. We attribute the reduction of the peak magnitude at high frequency to the increased field inhomogeneity as the measurement field increases. This is verified by compensating the field gradient using three sets of gradient coils. 展开更多

The thermophysical properties of API 5L X80 steel were experimentally measured, in order to use these in computational models to determine the temperature field in welded joints. In this work, values of thermal expansion coefficient, specific heat, thermal diffusivity and thermal conductivity were experimentally obtained as a function of temperature. The thermal expansion coefficient was determined at temperatures of 20°C to 1200°C in a dilatometer DIL 402 PC. The specific heat was determined on a differential scanning calorimeter at temperatures between 300°C and 1200°C. The diffusivity and thermal conductivity were determined in the temperature range 100°C to 800°C in a 457 LFA diffusivimeter using laser flash technique. The thermal expansion coefficient remained approximately with constant value of 8.5 × 10-6 K-1 and suffered two falls reaching values -25 × 10-6 K-1 and -50 × 10-6 K-1 in the stages of heating and cooling respectively. It was observed for this material, minimum and maximum values of specific heat equal to 0.571 J/gK and 1.084 J/gK at temperatures of 300°C and 720°C, respectively. The behavior of thermal diffusivity and thermal conductivity in the temperature range 100°C to 800°C tends to decrease with increasing temperature. Based on the measured properties, computational modeling of the temperature field can be numerically obtained with better accuracy. 展开更多

The absolute frequency of 87Rb 5S1/2 (F=2)→5D5/2 (F" = 4) two-photon transition at 778nm is measured in an accuracy of 44kHz. A home-made erbium-doped fiber laser frequency comb with frequency stability of 5.0 × 10-13@1 s is employed for the light source. By using a periodically poled lithium niobate, the femtosecond pulse operating in 1556 nm is frequency-doubled to 778 nm to obtain the direct two-photon transition spectroscopy of thermal rubidium vapor. Through sweeping the carrier envelope offset frequency (fceo), the 5S1/2 (F=2)→5D5/2 (F" = 4) two-photon transition line is clearly resolved and its absolute frequency is determined via the peak-finding of the fitting curve. After the frequency correction, the measured result agrees well with the previous experiment on this transition. The entire potential candidate of optical frequency standard for system configuration is compact and robust, providing a telecommunication applications. 展开更多

We conducted measurement and calculation to resolve the long-standing large discrepancy in the metastable state lifetime for the ^(88)Sr atom between theoretical and experimental results. The present lifetime τ = 830_(-240)^(+600)s,measured using the magneto-optical trap as a photon amplifier to detect the weak decay events, is approximately60% larger than the previous experimental value τ = 520_(-140)^(+310)s. By considering the electron correlation effects in the framework of the multiconfiguration Dirac–Hartree–Fock theory, we obtained a theoretical lifetime of 1079(54) s, which lies in the range of measurements with error bars. Furthermore, we considered the higher-order electron correlation and Breit interaction to control the uncertainty of the theoretical calculation. The significant improvement in the agreement between calculations and measurements is attributed to the updated blackbody radiation-induced decay rate. 展开更多

Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome is caused by the PRRS virus (PRRSV),which has six structural proteins (GP2,GP3,GP4,GP5,M and N). GP5 and N protein are important targets for serological detection by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and other methods. Toward this goal,we developed an indirect ELISA with recombinant GP5 antigens and this method was validated by comparison to the LSI PRRSV-Ab ELISA kit. The results indicated that the optimal concentration of coated recombinant antigen was 0.2 μg/well for a serum dilution of 1:40. The rate of agreement with the LSI PRRSV-Ab kit was 88.7% (266/300). These results support the potential use of recombinant GP5 as an antigen for indirect ELISA to detect PRRSV antibodies in pigs. 展开更多

The undisturbed ground temperatures are important for design of the ground heat exchangers in ground source heat pump (GSHP) systems. In this paper, the undisturbed ground temperatures measured in two different methods are presented. The investigation was carried out in two cases. The temperature measured with the direct method is assumed to give the correct undisturbed ground temperature profile. The temperature measured with indirect method overestimates the undisturbed ground temperature by 2.1℃ and 1.7~C. This difference is mainly caused by the circulation pump and ambient air to the fluid. Therefore, the results that are decreased about 2℃ as compared with the indirect measured are recommended to estimate the undisturbed ground temperature in situ measuring. A smaller pump or deeper borehole or mild weather would result in a more correct temperature. Because the undisturbed ground temperature is affected by many factors. Whether or not these conclusions are correct to other areas, this would need further investigation. 展开更多

The principle of sonic wave measurement was introduced, and cumulative damage effects of underground engineering rock mass under blasting load were studied by in situ test, using RSM-SY5 intelligent sonic wave apparatus. The blasting test was carried out for ten times at some tunnels of Changba Lead-Zinc Mine. The damage depth of surrounding rock caused by old blasting excavation (0.8-1.2 m) was confirmed. The relation between the cumulative damage degree and blast times was obtained. The results show that the sonic velocity decreases gradually with increasing blast times, hut the damage degree (D) increases. The damage cumulative law is non-linear. The damage degree caused by blast decreases with increasing distance, and damage effects become indistinct. The blasting damage of rock mass is anisotropic. The damage degree of rock mass within charging range is maximal. And the more the charge is, the more severe the damage degree of rock mass is. The test results provide references for researches of mechanical parameters of rock mass and dynamic stability analysis of underground chambers. 展开更多

This paper reports the results of field-based absolute gravity measurements aimed at detecting gravity change and crustal displacement caused by glacial isostatic adjustment. The project was initiated within the framework of the 53rd Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition (JARE53). Absolute gravity measurements, together with GPS measurements, were planned at several outcrops along the Prince Olav Coast and S6ya Coast of East Antarctica, including at Syowa Station. Since the icebreaker Shirase (AGB 5003) was unable to moor alongside Syowa Station, operations were somewhat restricted during JARE53. However, despite this setback, we were able to complete measurements at two sites: Syowa Station and Langhovde. The absolute gravity value at the Syowa Station IAGBN (A) site, observed using an FG-5 absolute gravimeter (serial number 210; FG-5 #210), was 982 524 322.7+0.1 ktGal, and the gravity change rate at the beginning of 2012 was -0.26 gGal.a-1. An absolute gravity value of 982 535 584.2~0.7 ktGal was obtained using a portable A-10 absolute gravimeter (serial number 017; A-10 #017) at the newly located site AGS01 in Langhovde. 展开更多

The Role of the Aerosol Indirect Effect in the Northern Indian Ocean Warming Simulated by CMIP5 Models

The northern Indian Ocean (NIO) experienced a decadal-scale persistent warming from 1950 to 2000, which has influenced both regional and global climate. Because the NIO is a region susceptible to aerosols emis- sion changes, and there are still large uncertainties in the representation of the aerosol indirect effect (ALE) in CMIP5 (Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5) models, it is necessary to investigate the role of the AIE in the NIO warming simulated by these models. In this study, the authors select seven CMIP5 models with both the aerosol direct and indirect effects to investigate their performance in simulating the basin-wide decadal-scale NIO warming. The results show that the decreasing trend of the downwelling shortwave flux (FSDS) at the surface has the major damping effect on the SST increasing trend, which counteracts the warming effect of greenhouse gases (GHGs). The FSDS decreasing trend is mostly contrib- uted by the decreasing trend of cloudy-sky surface downwelling shortwave flux (FSDSCL), a metric used to measure the strength of the AIE, and partly by the clear-sky surface downwelling shortwave flux (FSDSC). Models with a relatively weaker AIE can simulate well the SST increasing trend, as compared to observation. In contrast, models with a relatively stronger AIE produce a much smaller magnitude of the increasing trend, indicat- ing that the strength of the AIE in these models may be overestimated in the NIO. 展开更多

Asphalt mixture is a highly heterogeneous material, which is one of the reasons for high measurements uncertainty when subjected to tests. The results of such tests are often unreliable, which may lead to making bad professional judgments. They can be avoided by carrying out reliable analyses of measurement uncertainty adequate for the research methods used and conducted before the actual research is done. This paper presents the calculation of measurements uncertainty using as an example--the determination of the stiffness modulus of the asphalt mixture, which, in turn, was accomplished using the indirect tension method. The paper also shows the employment of the basic methods of statistical analysis, such as testing two mean values and conformity tests. Essential concepts in measurements uncertainty have been compiled and the determination of the stiffness module parameters are discussed. It has been demonstrated that the biggest source of error in the stiffness modulus measuring process is the displacement measure. The aim of the research was to find the measurement uncertainty for stiffness modulus by an indirect tensile test and the presentation of examples of the used statistical methods. 展开更多

The measurement of airkerma rate in narrow-spectrum series is the basis to determine the radiation dose at protection level. In this article, the absolute measurement method is used to derive the standard air-kerma rate of the ISO 4037 narrow-spectrum series that ranges from 60 kV to 150 kV by a primary standard ionization chamber,it is used in direct comparison for air kerma. The indirect method is used to obtain the air-kerma rate by a secondary standard transfer ionization chamber named A5 chamber with calibration factors of the corresponding reference qualities. The results are very similar comparing between absolute and indirect methods for air-kerma rate, all the differences are within ±3.3%. 展开更多

Beyond-5G(B5G)aims to meet the growing demands of mobile traffic and expand the communication space.Considering that intelligent applications to B5G wireless communications will involve security issues regarding user data and operational data,this paper analyzes the maximum capacity of the multi-watermarking method for multimedia signal hiding as a means of alleviating the information security problem of B5G.The multiwatermarking process employs spread transform dither modulation.During the watermarking procedure,Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization is used to obtain the multiple spreading vectors.Consequently,multiple watermarks can be simultaneously embedded into the same position of a multimedia signal.Moreover,the multiple watermarks can be extracted without affecting one another during the extraction process.We analyze the effect of the size of the spreading vector on the unit maximum capacity,and consequently derive the theoretical relationship between the size of the spreading vector and the unit maximum capacity.A number of experiments are conducted to determine the optimal parameter values for maximum robustness on the premise of high capacity and good imperceptibility. 展开更多

目的研究隔药灸和电针对克罗恩病大鼠结肠IGF-I、IGF-IR、IGFBP-5蛋白及IGF-I mRNA的调节作用,探讨针灸治疗大鼠克罗恩病肠纤维化的作用机制。方法SD大鼠随机分为正常组、模型组、隔药灸组、电针组和药物组。采用三硝基苯磺酸制备大鼠... 目的研究隔药灸和电针对克罗恩病大鼠结肠IGF-I、IGF-IR、IGFBP-5蛋白及IGF-I mRNA的调节作用,探讨针灸治疗大鼠克罗恩病肠纤维化的作用机制。方法SD大鼠随机分为正常组、模型组、隔药灸组、电针组和药物组。采用三硝基苯磺酸制备大鼠克罗恩病模型,应用HE染色、Masson染色光镜下观察结肠病理组织学变化及胶原纤维增生情况;采用实时荧光定量聚合酶链反应检测结肠IGF-I mRNA的变化;采用免疫组织化学Envision法检测结肠IGF-I、IGF-IR、IGFBP-5蛋白表达变化。结果与正常组比较,模型组大鼠结肠组织胶原增生,IGF-I、IGF-IR、IGFBP-5蛋白表达均显著增加,IGF-I mRNA表达显著增加。经治疗后,与模型组比较隔药灸组、电针组、药物组大鼠结肠胶原增生均显著减少,隔药灸组较电针组作用显著。隔药灸组、电针组、药物组大鼠IGF-I、IGF-IR、IGFBP-5蛋白表达均显著降低;隔药灸组对IGF-I、IGFBP-5蛋白的下调作用优于电针组。隔药灸组、药物组IGF-I mRNA表达均显著降低,电针组变化不明显。结论隔药灸和电针能够下调结肠IGF-I、IGF-IR、IGFBP-5蛋白的异常表达,该作用可能是隔药灸和电针改善克罗恩病肠纤维化的重要机制。隔药灸能够下调IGF-I mRNA表达,对IGF-I、IGFBP-5蛋白的下调作用优于电针,该作用可能是其改善克罗恩病肠纤维化优于电针的机制之一。 展开更多

目的:探讨正常人群中DR5天然自身抗体的分布特点及与肿瘤患者的差异。方法:采用ELISA间接法检测正常人群与肿瘤患者血清中死亡受体5的天然自身抗体,并运用SPSS软件对其结果进行统计学分析。结果:正常人群中血清DR5天然自身抗体OD值平均... 目的:探讨正常人群中DR5天然自身抗体的分布特点及与肿瘤患者的差异。方法:采用ELISA间接法检测正常人群与肿瘤患者血清中死亡受体5的天然自身抗体,并运用SPSS软件对其结果进行统计学分析。结果:正常人群中血清DR5天然自身抗体OD值平均值为0.39,在人群中呈近正态分布。正常人群血清DR5自身抗体OD值在不同年龄组之间存在显著性差异(P<0.05),随年龄增大而增高。相同年龄组之间,正常人群与肿瘤患者的血清中DR5天然自身抗体的OD值存在差异,肿瘤患者的OD值(0.17±0.014)小于正常人群的OD值(0.39±0.011),P<0.01。结论:我们发现人群中存在DR5的天然自身抗体,但平均滴度较低,符合生理性天然自身抗体的特点。正常人群血清中DR5的NAA水平随着年龄增加而增高,而肿瘤患者血清中DR5的NAA水平低于正常人群。提示在衰老的过程中,血清中DR5天然自身抗体的提高可能有助于清除恶变的细胞,施行肿瘤监视功能,阻止恶变细胞进展为肿瘤。 展开更多
