Breeding of Mycoplasmal pneumonia-negative Swine Population Using Combination Therapy,Segregated Early Weaning(SEW) and Three-point Production System

In order to explore a breeding method for mycoplasmal pneumonia-negative swine population, the purifying effects of combination therapy, SEW and three-point breeding and management system on Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae were investigated in this study. After the processes of screening pregnant sows, programmed therapy for sows, SEW, three-point breeding and management in the barrier isolation system and programmed therapy for piglets, the newly-bred piglets were monitored as long as four months by serum antibody detection of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae and fluorescent quantitative PCR of nose swabs. The results showed that when the newlybred five batches of piglets were older than 35 d, they were all negative by serum antibody detection and nose swab antigen detection. Therefore, the combination therapy, SEW and three-point production and management system can effectively purify Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, providing theoretical basis and clinical experience for the control and purification of domestic mycoplasmal pneumonia.

Influence of High Temperature Treatment on the Performance of Nickel-Induced Laterally Crystallized Thin Film Transistors

Well known for their good performance,thin film transistors (TFTs) with active layers which were nickel induced laterally crystallized,are fabricated by conventional process of dual gate CMOS.The influence of pre high temperature treatment of device fabrication on the performance of TFTs is also investigated.The experiment shows that the high temperature treatment affects the performance of the devices strongly.The best performance is obtained by adopting pre treatment of 1000℃.The mobility of 314cm 2/(V·s) is obtained at NMOS TFTs with pre treatment of 1000℃,which is 10% and 22% higher than that treated at 1100℃ and without pre high temperature treatment,respectively.A maximum on/off current ratio of 3×10 8 is also obtained at 1000℃.Further investigation of uniformity verifies that the result is reliable.

Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome （POTS） has been recognized since at least 1940.A review of the literature identifies differences in the definition for this condition and wide variations in treatment and outcomes.This syndrome appears to describe a group of conditions with differing pathophysiology,which requires treatment tailored to the true underlying disorder.Patients need to be fully evaluated to guide treatment.Further research is required to effectively classify the range of underlying pathophysioiogy that can produce this syndrome and to guide optimal management.

On Scientific-Technological Ethics

Ethics and morality are old and constantly updated topic. In the modern science and technology rapid development situation, study of ethics of science and technology is relatively backward. The times call for advanced and reasonable ethics of science-technology. Basic concepts and characteristics of ethics and morals are distinguished and defined in this paper. Three ethic essences of science-technology are abstracted from scientific-technological generation, application, and development. The three-dimension system of basic principles for scientific-technologic ethics is created, as illustrated by the portions given in this paper. The evolution formula of value system is derived, and used for appraising whether the science-technology activity is in all reason. Furthermore, it provides the theory base for quantified management. Finally, it is pointed out that morality and law should be supplemented each other in the science-technology management.

Towards Understanding Paleosols in Southern Levantine Eolianites:Integration of Micromorphology,Environmental Magnetism and Mineralogy

The paper addresses the controversial question of the role of clay-sized dust in the formation of paleosols in coastal eolianites, Israel. At the Habonim type section, the pedocomplex dated by archaeology and luminescence to 45-135 ka ago shows at least three paleosols, not separated by non-soil sediments. The oldest reddish paleosol （apparently related to MIS 5） is magnetically enhanced, leached from carbonates, with signs of bioturbation and strongly aged clay coatings. The reddening is due to very fine, -20 nm, poorly crystallized, superparamagnetic （SP） hematite, as determined by Mossbauer studies. In subsoil, lithorelics of eolianite are found. Over time, the soil surface aggraded due to accelerated fine dust accumulation alongside local slope wash. On younger materials formed magnetically depleted vertisols, dominated by smectite-type expandable paramagnetic clays. In thin sections, vertisols exhibit strong stipple-speckled and striated b-fabric due to shrink-swell processes, impregnative calcite nodules and Fe-Mn redistribution. The uppermost hydric vertisol shows the strongest expression of juxtaposed features of recurrent calcite and Fe precipitation. This paleosol developed on colluvial soil materials, as evidenced by mixing of clay coated and uncoated grains of quartz and calcite allochems. M6ssbauer spectra show high amounts of Fe（III） incorporated in the clay structure, low amounts of SP goethite and absence of SP hematite. Whilst magnetic susceptibility drops in vertisols to minimal values, increase. The latter along ferrimagnetie grain sizes with differences in the hierarchy of microfabric features is taken as indication for lithologic discontinuities which may have resulted from continuous, albeit variable and low-intensity, input of eolian clay from both remote Saharan and local sources, roughly dated to the earlier to middle part of the Last Glacial.

A Hierarchical Model Architecture for Enterprise Integration in Chemical Industries

Towards integration of supply chain, manufacturing/production and investment decision making, this paper presents a hierarchical model architecture which contains six sub-models covering the areas of manufacturing control, production operation, design and revamp, production management, supply chain and investment decision making. Six types of flow, material, energy, information, humanware, partsware and capital are clasified. These flows connect enterprise components/subsystems to formulate system topology and logical structure. Enterprise components/subsystems are abstracted to generic elementary and composite classes. Finally, the model architecture is applied to a management system of an integrated suply chain, and suggestion are made on the usage of the model architecture and further development of the model as well as implementation issues.

Integration of Individualized Management Systems （MSs） as an Aggregating Factor of Sustainable Value for Organizations An Overview Through a Review of the Literature

Nowadays, there exist various standards for individual management systems （MSs）, at least, one for each stakeholder. New ones will be published. An integrated management system （IMS） aims to integrate some or all components of the business into one coherent and efficient MS. Maximizing integration is more and more a strategic priority in that it constitutes an opportunity to eliminate and/or reduce potential factors of destruction of value for the organizations and also to be more competitive and consequently promote its sustainable success. A preliminary investigation was conducted on a Portuguese industrial company which, over the years, has been adopting gradually, in whole or in part, individualized management system standards （MSSs）. A research, through a questionnaire, was performed with the objective to develop, in a real business environment, an adequate and efficient IMS-QES （quality, environment, and safety） model and to potentiate for the future a generic IMS model to integrate other MSSs. The strategy and research methods have taken into consideration the case study. It was obtained a set of relevant conclusions resulting from the statistical analyses of the responses to the survey. Globally, the investigation results, by themselves, justified and prioritized the conception of a model of development of the IMS-QES and consequent definition and validation of a structure of an IMS-QES model, to be implemented at the small- and medium-sized enterprise （SME） where the investigation was conducted.

Management of non-variceal upper gastrointestinal tract hemorrhage:Controversies and areas of uncertainty

Upper gastrointestinal tract hemorrhage （UGIH） remains a common presentation requiring urgent evaluation and treatment. Accurate assessment, appropriate intervention and apt clinical skills are needed for proper management from time of presentation to discharge. The advent of pharmacologic acid suppression, endoscopic hemostatic techniques, and recognition of Helicobacter pylori as an etiologic agent in peptic ulcer disease （PUD） has revolutionized the treatment of UGIH. Despite this, acute UGIH still carries considerable rates of morbidity and mortality. This review aims to discuss current areas of uncertainty and controversy in the management of UGIH. Neoadjuvant proton pump inhibitor （PPI） therapy has become standard empiric treatment for UGIH given that PUD is the leading cause of non variceal UGIH, and PPIs are extremely effective at promoting ulcer healing. Howeve, neoadjuvant PPI administration has not been shown to affect hard clinical outcomes such as rebleeding or mortality. The optimal timing of upper endoscopy in UGIH is often debated. Upon completion of volume resuscitation and hemodynamic stabilization, upper endoscopy should be performed within 24 h in all patientswith evidence of UGIH for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. With rising healthcare cost paramount in today＇s medical landscape, the ability to appropriately triage UGIH patients is of increasing value. Upper en- doscopy in conjunction with the clinical scenario allows for accurate decision making concerning early discharge home in low risk lesions or admission for further moni toring and treatment in higher risk lesions. Concomitant pharmacotherapy with non steroidal antiinflammatory drugs （NSAIDs） and antiplatelet agents, such as clopidogrel, has a major impact on the etiology, severib/, and potential treatment of UGIH. Long term PPI use in patients taking chronic NSAIDs or clopidogrel is discussed thoroughly in this review.

From a theoretical standpoint, technology is said to be a reflection of society. If technology can be linked to society and society in turn can be equated with the spectacle then it is a natural progression to examine technology as spectacle. Therefore, using the two theories in tandem provides a very suitable lens to frame an investigation of technology as spectacle, and the viability of social media as a communication tool for special events.

Cloud computing can help chemical and food companies drive operational excellence; meet growing and changing customer demands; accelerate new product innovation and ramp-to-volume manufacturing in key markets; reduce IT spending; manage and mitigate supply chain risks; and enable faster and more flexible delivery of new IT system. Production type of SOC （service-oriented computing） can be inspired by a ＂Cloud＂, for the production of ＂Cloud＂ offers an attractive and natural solutions in several computing trends such as delivery system over the Internet, use of utilities, flexibility, virtualization, a ＂grid＂ distributed computing, outsourcing, Web 2.0, etc.. Production of the ＂Cloud＂ is also considered as a new multidisciplinary field that includes ＂network＂ production, virtual manufacturing, agile manufacturing, and of course cloud computing. Examples of cloud computing and MAS applications in food and chemistry development and industry, proposition of using multi-agent systems in the control of batch processes, modified ACO （ant colony optimization） approach for the diversified service allocation and scheduling mechanism in cloud paradigma, examples of applications in a business area were studied in the paper.

Optimal scenario balance of reduction in costs and greenhouse gas emissions for municipal solid waste management

To reduce carbon intensity, an improved management method balancing the reduction in costs and greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions is required for Tianjin's waste management system. Firstly, six objective functions, namely, cost minimization, GHG minimization, eco-efficiency minimization, cost maximization, GHG maximization and eco-efficiency maximization, are built and subjected to the same constraints with each objective function corresponding to one scenario. Secondly, GHG emissions and costs are derived from the waste flow of each scenario. Thirdly, the range of GHG emissions and costs of other potential scenarios are obtained and plotted through adjusting waste flow with infinitely possible step sizes according to the correlation among the above six scenarios. And the optimal scenario is determined based on this range. The results suggest the following conclusions. 1) The scenarios located on the border between scenario cost minimization and GHG minimization create an optimum curve, and scenario GHG minimization has the smallest eco-efficiency on the curve; 2) Simple pursuit of eco-efficiency minimization using fractional programming may be unreasonable; 3) Balancing GHG emissions from incineration and landfills benefits Tianjin's waste management system as it reduces GHG emissions and costs.
