In addition to the traditional LQ cost function, another free form cost function was introduced to express the physical need plainly and optimize weights of LQ cost function using the search algorithms. As an instance, DLQR was applied in determining the control input in the front steering angle compensation control (FSAC) model for heavy duty vehicles. The brief simulations show that DLQR is powerful enough to specify the engineering requirements correctly and balance many factors effectively. The concept and applicable field of LQR are expanded by DLQR to optimize the system with a free form cost function.展开更多

Flow cytometry ...Objective: To evaluate the anti-tumor effects of SeO2 and its mechanisms on three human lung cancer cell lines. Methods: Three lung cancer cells A549, GLC-82 and PG were treated with 3-30 μmol/L SeO2. Flow cytometry was used to detect apoptosis, and analyze the changes of expression of p53 and Bcl-2, as well as ROS and Ca2+ level within cells. Results:SeO2 markedly inhibited cell proliferation and viability, and prompted apoptosis after 48 h treatment. SeO2 at 10 μmol/L induced 47.8% apoptosis in A549 cells, 40.8% in GLC-82 cells, 18.2% in PG cells. SeO2 at 30 μmol/L induced 37.8% apoposis in PG cells,but did not increase apoptotic raes in other two cells. SeO2 could down-regulate the mean fluorescent intensity of Bcl-2 from 65.8 to 9.6 in A549, but not in GLC-82 and in PG cells, up-regulate wild type p53 level in all three cells. SeO2 decreased the ROS and Ca2+ level markedly within three tested cells. Conclusion: SeO2 showed anti-tumor effect via apoptosis pathway in three lung cancer cell lines. The decrease of ROS and Ca2+ level within cells as well as regulation of Bcl-2 and p53 expression may play important roles in above apoptotic procedure.展开更多

The current literature lacks uniform calculation methods for following trajectory control for autonomous vehicles,including the calculation of errors,determination of tracking points,and design of feedforward controll...The current literature lacks uniform calculation methods for following trajectory control for autonomous vehicles,including the calculation of errors,determination of tracking points,and design of feedforward controllers.Hence,a complete calculation method is proposed to address this gap.First,a control equation in the form of an error is obtained according to the dynamic equation of the vehicle coordinate system and the trajectory following model.Secondly,the deviation of the vehicle state is obtained according to the current vehicle s state and the following control model.Finally,a linear quadratic regulator(LQR)controller with feedforward control is designed according to the characteristics of the dynamic equation.With the proposed LQR,the simulation of computational time,anti-interference,and reliability analysis of the trajectory following control is performed by programming using MATLAB.The simulation outcomes are then compared with the experimental results from the literature.The comparison indicates that the proposed complete calculation method is effective,reliable,and capable of achieving real-time and anti-interference following control performance.The simulation results with or without feedforward control show that the steady-state error is eliminated and that good control performance is obtained by introducing feedforward control.展开更多

Cystic dystrophy of the duodenal wall is a rare condition characterized by the development of cysts in heterotopic pancreatic tissue localized in the duodenal wall.A 38-year- old man was admitted to the hospital for a...Cystic dystrophy of the duodenal wall is a rare condition characterized by the development of cysts in heterotopic pancreatic tissue localized in the duodenal wall.A 38-year- old man was admitted to the hospital for abdominal pain and vomiting after food intake.The diagnosis of acute pancreatitis was initially suspected.Abdominal ultrasound examination revealed thickening of the second portion of duodenal wall within which,small cysts(diameter,less than 1 cm)were present in the vicinity of pancreatic head. The head of pancreas appeared enlarged(63 mm×42 mm) and hypoechoic.Upper endoscopy and barium X-ray series were performed revealing a severe circumferential deformation,as well as 4 cm long stenosis of the second portion of the duodenum.CT examination revealed multiple cysts located in an enlarged,thickened duodenal wall with moderate to strong post-contrast enhancement.We suspected that patient had cystic dystrophy of duodenal wall developed in the heterotopic pancreas and diagnosis was confirmed by endoscopic ultrasound(EUS).Endoscopic ultrasound(EUS)revealed circular stenosis from the duodenal bulb onwards.A twenty megahertz mini-prope examination further showed diffuse(intramural)infiltration of duodenal wall limited to the submucosa and muscularis propria of the second portion of duodenum with multiple microcysts within the thickened mucosa and submucosa.Patient was successfully surgically treated and pancreatoduodenectomy was performed.The pathological examination confirmed a diagnosis of cystic dystrophy of a heterotopic pancreas. Endoscopic ultrasonography features allow preoperative diagnosis of cystic dystrophy of a heterotopic pancreas in duodenal wall,with intralumina120 MHz mini probe sonography being more efficient in cases of luminal stenosis.展开更多

The chip has a 64-step gray scale control using the PWM method and two-step voltage pre-charge technology to pre-charge the OLED pixels. It consists of a digital controller,SRAM for display data memory,a DC-DC voltage converter,reference current generators,a pre-charge voltage generator,64 common drivers, and 132 segment drivers. The single chip is a typical current-drive circuit. It has been implemented in a Chartered 0.35/μm 18V HV (DDD) CMOS process with a die area of 10mm× 2mm. Test results show that the power consumption of the whole chip and all pixels with a constant driving current of 100μA while displaying the highest gray scale is 294mW with a 12V high voltage supply and a 3V low voltage supply.展开更多
Improving rollover and stability of the vehicles is the indispensable part of automotive research to prevent vehicle rollover and crashes.The main objective of this work is to develop active control mechanism based on...Improving rollover and stability of the vehicles is the indispensable part of automotive research to prevent vehicle rollover and crashes.The main objective of this work is to develop active control mechanism based on fuzzy logic controller(FLC) and linear quadratic regulator(LQR) for improving vehicle path following,roll and handling performances simultaneously.3-DOF vehicle model including yaw rate,lateral velocity(lateral dynamic) and roll angle(roll dynamic) were developed.The controller produces optimal moment to increase stability and roll margin of vehicle by receiving the steering angle as an input and vehicle variables as a feedback signal.The effectiveness of proposed controller and vehicle model were evaluated during fishhook and single lane-change maneuvers.Simulation results demonstrate that in both cases(FLC and LQR controllers) by reducing roll angle,lateral acceleration and side slip angles remain under 0.6g and 4° during maneuver,which ensures vehicle stability and handling properties.Finally,the sensitivity and robustness analysis of developed controller for varying longitudinal speeds were investigated.展开更多

It is to note that the traditional control approaches may generally be upgraded, as long as a number of modifications are made with respect to state-of-the-art, in order to propose high-precision outcomes. Regarding the investigated issues, the robust sliding mode finite-time control approach is first designed to handle three-axis angular rates in the inner control loop, which consists of the pulse width pulse frequency modulations in line with the control allocation scheme and the system dynamics. The main subject to employ these modulations that is realizing in association with the control allocation scheme is to be able to handle a class of overactuated systems, in particular. The proportional derivative based linear quadratic regulator approach is then designed to handle three-axis rotational angles in the outer control loop, which consists of the system kinematics that is correspondingly concentrated to deal with the quaternion based model. The utilization of the linear and its nonlinear terms, simultaneously, are taken into real consideration as the research motivation, while the performance results are of the significance as the improved version in comparison with the recent investigated outcomes. Subsequently, there is a stability analysis to verify and guarantee the closed loop system performance in coping with the whole of nominal referenced commands. A mass was also found in the proximal jejunum.All the above findings were confirmed by subsequent surgery,thus contrast-enhanced MDCT and MRI with appropriate image post-processing could provide non- invasive and accurate information regarding anatomy and lesions of the pancreaticobiliary duct and duodenal union,which may improve the feasibility of surgery and reduce postoperative complications.展开更多

The control method of proposed dimmer is pulse width control (PWM) method. Compared with the conventional phase-controlled dimmer, the proposed PWM dimmer can produce sine wave and did not cause harmonics problem. Furthermore, the proposed control method did not amplify the light flicker due to the independence of input voltage. Therefore, the PWM dimmer can be used as the dimmer of the AC LED lamp instead of the conventional phase-controlled dimmer. The experimental result shows that the proposed PWM dimmer has good performances.展开更多
