The vast requirements of high...In recent years,the number of incidents involved with unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)has increased conspicuously,resulting in an increasingly urgent demand for developing anti-UAV systems. The vast requirements of high detection accuracy with respect to low altitude UAVs are put forward. In addition,the methods of UAV detection based on deep learning are of great potential in low altitude UAV detection. However,such methods need high-quality datasets to cope with the problem of high false alarm rate(FAR)and high missing alarm rate(MAR)in low altitude UAV detection,special high-quality low altitude UAV detection dataset is still lacking. A handful of known datasets for UAV detection have been rejected by their proposers for authorization and are of poor quality. In this paper,a comprehensive enhanced dataset containing UAVs and jamming objects is proposed. A large number of high-definition UAV images are obtained through real world shooting, web crawler, and data enhancement.Moreover,to cope with the challenge of low altitude UAV detection in complex backgrounds and long distance,as well as the puzzle caused by jamming objects,the noise with jamming characteristics is added to the dataset. Finally,the dataset is trained,validated,and tested by four mainstream deep learning models. The results indicate that by using data enhancement,adding noise contained jamming objects and images of UAV with complex backgrounds and long distance,the accuracy of UAV detection can be significantly improved. This work will promote the development of anti-UAV systems deeply,and more convincing evaluation criteria are provided for models optimization for UAV detection.展开更多

The present model allows to predict the result "died/survived" for every adult patient with cerebral stroke, who was delivered to hospital to choose individual approach. And in such way, it raised the effectiveness of treatment and lowered the frequency of fatal case. Drawing on the theory of practice, we propose an ethnographic account of women's perception of workwear and their preferred alternative. The study presents a comparative perspective of attitudes, and perceptions about the workwear of women in South Africa and Uganda explored through the habitus. We present pro-vocal recollections of women perceptions on the current workwear ideal for men which omits women' body physique. In particular, from the current personal protective equipment (PPE), we examine "the overall" common attire at site and an integral part of the PPE. Overalls are designed following the men's physique, and women in work place are subjected to put them on yet, differences in body structure/shapes amongst women, namely, hour glass, bottom hourglass, spoon, and pear shape, are hardly considered. The identification of different female body shapes is made possible through the 3D anthropometric measurements using a Three Dimensional (3D) Body Scanner (TC2). We develop endogenous explanations of what women would want to see as workwear based on the understanding of women found on site in men's workwear or without any work weal- in South Africa and Uganda. Using ethnographic design approach, we capture voices of 10 women from South Africa and Uganda through participant observation and unstructured interviews. We analyze data thematically to determine the patterns of their responses toward an appropriate workwear. Moreover, we (re)construct these responses into possible design models that would be ideal workwear for women, which gives them the pride, respect, dignity, and confidence as women.展开更多

We analyzed the relevance to EC of Kazakh's inXinjiang.RESULTS In the ESCC samples of Kazakh's in Xinjiang, totaldetection rate for HPV DNA was 64.5% (205/318). The positiverate of HPV in group of crude cell suspensions was 82.9% (97/117)compared with the rate of 53.7% (108/201) in the group of DNAextraction. The results in the two groups showed significantdiffference (x^2 = 5.711, P < 0.05).CONCLUSION HPV DNA infection may be one of the mostimportant factors related to EC of Kazakh's in Xinjiang.展开更多

Members of these communities often use account names instead of real names. When they meet in the real world, they will find it useful to have a tool that enables them to associate the faces in fiont of them with the account names they know. This paper proposes a method that enables a person to identify the account name of the person ("target") in front of him/her using a smartphone. The attendees to a meeting exchange their identifiers (i.e., the account name) and GPS information using smartphones. When the user points his/her smartphone towards a target, the target's identifier is displayed near the target's head on the camera screen using AR (augmented reality). The position where the identifier is displayed is calculated from the differences in longitude and latitude between the user and the target and the azimuth direction of the target from the user. The target is identified based on this information, the face detection coordinates, and the distance between the two. The proposed method has been implemented using Android terminals, and identification accuracy has been examined through experiments.展开更多

This paper examines methods of calculating rates of growth and thus calculating future population growth. This paper is concerned about regulators making sure that nuclear power plants are not located near densely populated centers and that population centers located near nuclear power plants do not become densely populated. In the case of El Dabaa city in the north coast of Egypt, south west of the nominated plant site, three rates of growth 1.5%, 2.5% and 3% were identified. The first is the current population growth rate of the city, the second is the average national growth rate and the third is the expected growth rate of the city when the nuclear power plant gets constructed and operated. In all three cases, this city is a population center and rules of distance from the nuclear power plant shall apply. Thus the further natural growth of this city should be controlled and directed away from the downwind of the plant.展开更多
Traditional human detection using pre-trained detectors tends to be computationally intensive for time-critical tracking tasks, and the detection rate is prone to be unsatisfying when occlusion, motion blur and body d...Traditional human detection using pre-trained detectors tends to be computationally intensive for time-critical tracking tasks, and the detection rate is prone to be unsatisfying when occlusion, motion blur and body deformation occur frequently. A spatial-confidential proposal filtering method(SCPF) is proposed for efficient and accurate human detection. It consists of two filtering phases: spatial proposal filtering and confidential proposal filtering. A compact spatial proposal is generated in the first phase to minimize the search space to reduce the computation cost. The human detector only estimates the confidence scores of the candidate search regions accepted by the spatial proposal instead of global scanning. At the second phase, each candidate search region is assigned with a supplementary confidence score according to their reliability estimated by the confidential proposal to reduce missing detections. The performance of the SCPF method is verified by extensive tests on several video sequences from available public datasets. Both quantitatively and qualitatively experimental results indicate that the proposed method can highly improve the efficiency and the accuracy of human detection.展开更多

Methods We examined the mutation of KCNJll gene by directly sequencing. Data for the present study were obtained from 250 hypertensive subjects (60 to 83 years old) as well as 250 normotensive subjects (60 to 86 years old). Results We found nine different mutations in KCNJ11, including six novel mutations (1131M, L1471, L147V, L147L, Q235H, G245C). None of the novel mutations were found in the normotensive subjects, and all the residues were conserved in other species. These sequence variants in Chinese population indicate the diversity of the human library and the complexity of hypertension. Conclusions The consistent finding of our present study provided a basis for the development of new strategies to diagnosis and treat hypertension in the elderly.展开更多

The aim of the reactive navigation is to prescribe behavior to the robot based on actual sensor values that is collision-free. Analysis of reactive navigation methods shows that there is no reliable reactive collision-free method. However, method VFH+ is suboptimal reactive navigation method for static environment. Original method was proposed for ultrasonic rangefinders. Nowadays, much more sophisticated sensors are available. That is why our modification is proposed for a laser rangefinder attached to indoor mobile robot. Results are presented as simulation in Matlab and also as experiments with real robot. Based on these experiments, it can be claimed that VFH+ is very effective reactive navigation method for various sensors and environments and it can be modified for different requirements on robot behavior.展开更多

To further the potential for applied personality studies, we present a methodology for assessing personality in nonhu man animals without a priori assumptions, using behavioral measures to discriminate personality sur...To further the potential for applied personality studies, we present a methodology for assessing personality in nonhu man animals without a priori assumptions, using behavioral measures to discriminate personality survey results. Our study group consisted of 12 freeranging, provisioned, adult Tibetan macaques Macaca thibetana at the Valley of the Wild Monkeys, China. We asked familiar Chinese park guards and scientists to rate each of the 12 macaques using 27item personality surveys. We also recorded behavioral observations (〉 100 hrs) from AugustSeptember, 2012. The personality surveys showed reliability in 22 of the items that were then utilized in a principal component analysis that revealed five components: Insecurity, Reactivity, Boldness, Sociability, and Leadership. Prior personality research on Macaca show comparable components. In order to determine which behaviors would best predict those five personality components, we conducted discriminant analyses using behavioral measures as predictors. We found that behavioral measures of avoidance, lunging, feargrinning, selfdirected behaviors, touching, proximity and chasing could significantly predict personality component scores in certain situations. Finally, we analyzed the effects of situation (provisioning and tourists) and found situation influenced proximity and rates of avoidance and selfdirected behaviors. Wider implementation of this methodology may permit longterm analysis of personality using behavioral proxies for established personality traits, in particular on research investigating the effects of tourism and provisioning on personality .展开更多

However, because the rear seatbelt of a motor vehicle tends to make contact with the neck, ev...Purpose: Seatbelt use during pregnancy is important to improve maternal and fetal survival after motor vehicle collisions. However, because the rear seatbelt of a motor vehicle tends to make contact with the neck, even if it is adequately used, some pregnant women sitting in the rear seat opt not to fasten the belt. The purpose of this study is to explore seatbelt-neck contact for pregnant women sitting in the rear seat of a motor vehicle. Methods: We carried out an anthropometric study. Japanese women who were _〉30 weeks pregnant (n = 12) sat in the left side of the rear seat of a typical mid-size passenger sedan and fastened the seatbelt. Seating posture was investigated by measuring the coordinates of the anthropometric data points of the pregnant women (head, shoulder, hip joint, and knee joint). The belt path was analyzed by measuring the clearance between the belt and the sternum or navel. Results: Among the 12 pregnant women at 33.9 week _+ 3.3 week gestation, the shoulder belt deviated to the right side and subsequently contacted to the neck in four pregnant women (Contact group). The height of the Contact group was significantly shorter than that of Non-contact group (152.3 cm ~ 3.0 cm vs. 159.0 cm + 3.3 cm, p = 0.008). Regarding the relative position of the seatbelt to the subject's body, the distances from the top of the sternum to the center of the shoulder belt were significantly shorter in Contact group (3.9 cm ~ 3.5 cm) than that in the Non-contact group (8.0 cm ~ 1.6 cm, p = 0.03). However, no significant difference was found for the distance from the umbilicus to the center of the lap belt. Conclusion: Our findings show that because of short height and late term of pregnancy with protrusion of the abdomen, the shoulder belt deviates to the right or left, avoiding the protruded uterus, and subsequently makes contact with the neck. Seatbelt systems for rear seats need to be developed to improve passenger safety, especially for pregnant women.展开更多

At the second phase, each candidate search region is assigned with a supplementary confidence score according to their reliability estimated by the confidential proposal to reduce missing detections. The performance of the SCPF method is verified by extensive tests on several video sequences from available public datasets. Both quantitatively and qualitatively experimental results indicate that the proposed method can highly improve the efficiency and the accuracy of human detection.

文摘Objective To compare the distribution ofKCNJll polymorphisms between elderly Chinese population with and without hypertension. Methods We examined the mutation of KCNJll gene by directly sequencing. Data for the present study were obtained from 250 hypertensive subjects (60 to 83 years old) as well as 250 normotensive subjects (60 to 86 years old). Results We found nine different mutations in KCNJ11, including six novel mutations (1131M, L1471, L147V, L147L, Q235H, G245C). None of the novel mutations were found in the normotensive subjects, and all the residues were conserved in other species. These sequence variants in Chinese population indicate the diversity of the human library and the complexity of hypertension. Conclusions The consistent finding of our present study provided a basis for the development of new strategies to diagnosis and treat hypertension in the elderly.
文摘This paper describes a reactive navigation proposed for a differentially driven robot. The aim of the reactive navigation is to prescribe behavior to the robot based on actual sensor values that is collision-free. Analysis of reactive navigation methods shows that there is no reliable reactive collision-free method. However, method VFH+ is suboptimal reactive navigation method for static environment. Original method was proposed for ultrasonic rangefinders. Nowadays, much more sophisticated sensors are available. That is why our modification is proposed for a laser rangefinder attached to indoor mobile robot. Results are presented as simulation in Matlab and also as experiments with real robot. Based on these experiments, it can be claimed that VFH+ is very effective reactive navigation method for various sensors and environments and it can be modified for different requirements on robot behavior.

文摘Dear Editor, Shortly after initiating the "Physical Anthropological Re- search on Han Chinese" research project, we applied uni- form sampling methods as well as methods and instruments of measurement to obtain a complete set of measurements of physical anthropological indicators among Han popula- tions across China. Among these measurements, body stat- ure was a key indicator. Currently, there should be reliable and complete basic data of stature around the Chinese peo- ple. We analyzed the current status of statures among Han adults.
文摘To further the potential for applied personality studies, we present a methodology for assessing personality in nonhu man animals without a priori assumptions, using behavioral measures to discriminate personality survey results. Our study group consisted of 12 freeranging, provisioned, adult Tibetan macaques Macaca thibetana at the Valley of the Wild Monkeys, China. We asked familiar Chinese park guards and scientists to rate each of the 12 macaques using 27item personality surveys. We also recorded behavioral observations (〉 100 hrs) from AugustSeptember, 2012. The personality surveys showed reliability in 22 of the items that were then utilized in a principal component analysis that revealed five components: Insecurity, Reactivity, Boldness, Sociability, and Leadership. Prior personality research on Macaca show comparable components. In order to determine which behaviors would best predict those five personality components, we conducted discriminant analyses using behavioral measures as predictors. We found that behavioral measures of avoidance, lunging, feargrinning, selfdirected behaviors, touching, proximity and chasing could significantly predict personality component scores in certain situations. Finally, we analyzed the effects of situation (provisioning and tourists) and found situation influenced proximity and rates of avoidance and selfdirected behaviors. Wider implementation of this methodology may permit longterm analysis of personality using behavioral proxies for established personality traits, in particular on research investigating the effects of tourism and provisioning on personality .
文摘Purpose: Seatbelt use during pregnancy is important to improve maternal and fetal survival after motor vehicle collisions. However, because the rear seatbelt of a motor vehicle tends to make contact with the neck, even if it is adequately used, some pregnant women sitting in the rear seat opt not to fasten the belt. The purpose of this study is to explore seatbelt-neck contact for pregnant women sitting in the rear seat of a motor vehicle. Methods: We carried out an anthropometric study. Japanese women who were _〉30 weeks pregnant (n = 12) sat in the left side of the rear seat of a typical mid-size passenger sedan and fastened the seatbelt. Seating posture was investigated by measuring the coordinates of the anthropometric data points of the pregnant women (head, shoulder, hip joint, and knee joint). The belt path was analyzed by measuring the clearance between the belt and the sternum or navel. Results: Among the 12 pregnant women at 33.9 week _+ 3.3 week gestation, the shoulder belt deviated to the right side and subsequently contacted to the neck in four pregnant women (Contact group). The height of the Contact group was significantly shorter than that of Non-contact group (152.3 cm ~ 3.0 cm vs. 159.0 cm + 3.3 cm, p = 0.008). Regarding the relative position of the seatbelt to the subject's body, the distances from the top of the sternum to the center of the shoulder belt were significantly shorter in Contact group (3.9 cm ~ 3.5 cm) than that in the Non-contact group (8.0 cm ~ 1.6 cm, p = 0.03). However, no significant difference was found for the distance from the umbilicus to the center of the lap belt. Conclusion: Our findings show that because of short height and late term of pregnancy with protrusion of the abdomen, the shoulder belt deviates to the right or left, avoiding the protruded uterus, and subsequently makes contact with the neck. Seatbelt systems for rear seats need to be developed to improve passenger safety, especially for pregnant women.
