一些现代私塾开设读经课,要求少年儿童用大量时间读经;有的教育专家也公开倡导少儿读经是“传承文化”的需要。这种现象是逆潮流而动。五四运动时期就反对文言文,提倡白话文;反对读经,提倡科学。读经不能救国,少儿读经弊多利少,都早有定论。现在倡导读经,是教育的倒退,违背少年儿童身心发展的规律,因而注定是短命的,不可能长期存在下去。

Construction of traditional Chinese medicine culture and characteristic communityculture： a review

The broad and profound Chinese medicine culture is an important part of Chinese traditional culture, which nourishes the vigorous development of modern Chinese medicine. At present, traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） culture faces challenges and opportunities. As the inheritor of Chinese medicine culture, we bear the burden of inheriting and carrying forward TCM culture. Distinctive community culture is mainly playing value guidance and education transmission function in the process of residents identifying with the culture of Chinese medicine. Therefore, building a distinctive community culture under the guidance of the essence of TCM can effectively inherit and develop TCM culture.

Research on the Fusion of Guangxi MiaoJin and Modern Arts and Crafts Design from the Perspectives of Aesthetic and Cultural Inheritance

In this paper, we conduct research on the fusion of the Guangxi MiaoJin and modem arts and crafts design from the perspectives of aesthetic and the cultural inheritance. From angles of folk embroidery patterns modelling characteristics are analyzed： include strong decorative and practical; the integrity of the vivid and concise; symbolic connotation deeply; simple random nature; handed down from generation to generation program. Discusses the forming characteristic of folk embroidery modelling is not an accidental phenomenon of art, but has a profound folk custom, economy, religion, and history of aesthetics, with typical regional culture characteristics. The research of folk embroidery in the status of folk art is of great significance. In the future, we will combine more literature review to optimize our current research and broaden the research boundary.

Who is the ＂Rightful＂ Inheritor of Ancient Culture？ Ancient Greece, Modern Greece, and Richard Wagner

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the reception of Wagner＇s approaches to Greek antiquity by Greek musicologists and composers which took place at the first half of the 20th century. Wagner＇s such readings were parts of wider narrations of archeology and how Greeks perceived their past.This research is largely based on primary sources of that time; its arguments construct two levels of critique： （1） Admiration （the ＇proper＇ aesthetic examples are German models, as exemplified in Wagner＇s work）; and （2） ＂Hellenism＂ as a means to distancing from Wagner （The past of ancient Greece is still believed to be better understood by the Greeks）. The principal conclusions are： （1） Wagner＇s views were admired because Wagner＇s example （ancient culture） should also be an example for Greek composers; and （2） Wagner＇s views were judged on the grounds of： Ideology： the expression of the ＂soul＂; the theory of ＂historic continuity＂; the balance between music, poetry, and dance; Wagner gave superiority to music, modem Greeks （should） give a predominant role to language as a means of expression in an ancient drama, or achieve a balance among the three arts of music, poetry, and dance.

The Major Western Cultural Influences on the Incubating Process of Ezra Pound＇s Early Poetics

This paper intends to study Ezra Pound＇s early poetics and his modernist poetry through a close research of the various elements in the shaping process of his poetics, and the significance and influence of his poetic thoughts on the American New Poetry Movement. It studies firstly the early translations and romantic lyrics of Pound, trying to demonstrate that part of the influence on his early poetics is from the Western traditional cultural inheritance and that the emphasis on musicality that Pound inherited from traditional forms of poetry turns out to be one of the major principles that Pound advocates in his early poetics; then it comes to the discussion of the new translation concepts and poetics in ＂The Seafarer＂ （1911）, which is a great work Pound translated based on an Old English poem; next this paper will focus on the influence of Robert Browning＇s dramatic monologues and Yeats＇ Symbolism on Pound＇s transition from subjectivity to objectivity.

Play the role of the university libraries in the research and heritage of the local cultural protection

The libraries, especially the university libraries, are the important gathering places of the human cultural knowledge and the inheritance, which usually house some important and rare historical literature books and materials. Especially the local university libraries in the minority agglomeration regions collect the cultural resources with the local ethnic characteristics, so the local university libraries should have the better geographical advantages and the advantages of the subject resources to give full play to the unique functions and values to study and inherit the local cultural protection.

Responding to common questions on the conservation of agricultural heritage systems in China

Although the urgency of their conservation has been recognized, Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems(GIAHS) designated by the Food and Agriculture Organization(FAO) since 2002 and China Nationally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems(ChinaNIAHS) certified by the Ministry of Agriculture(MOA) of China since 2012 are faced with questions as to why to conserve them, what is to be conserved, who should conserve them, and how? This paper attempts to clarify and respond to such questions focusing on the conservation of agricultural heritage systems in China based on a review of both theoretical and practical progress. Agricultural heritage systems exhibit a multitude of values for sustainable and equitable development and therefore should be conserved for both present and future generations. Unlike most conventional heritages, the conservation of agricultural heritage systems is a complex, systematic "engineering" in which both physical and biological components and associated socio-cultural processes should be conserved in a dynamic way. Farmers and heritage sites must benefit from the continuance of traditional agricultural production under the premise of ecological functions being sustained and traditional culture being inherited. For a more effective conservation, a multi- stakeholder process should be established involving governments at different levels, multi-disciplinary scientists, communities and farmers, and business enterprises as well as social organizations. As has been demonstrated, the conservation of agricultural heritage systems aims to promote the regional sustainable development, to improve the livelihood, food security and well-being of farm people, and to provide references for the development of modern agriculture in China.

New Literature's Attack on and Inheritance of Traditional Culture

Although Chinese New Literature was strongly anti-traditional in expression, this does not sever the ties of blood that link it to traditional culture; and although it advocates a Western humanistic spirit, it does not install Western literature＇s aesthetic values. Due to the cultural distinctiveness and historical continuity of the Chinese language, it was never possible for the New Literature to become totally ＂Westernized＂ and turn its back on the mother culture. Therefore, when examining the modem transition of Chinese literature as a whole, we must pay attention to its conscious inheritance of the national cultural tradition and to its operating strategy of attacking traditional culture by making use of it, instead of insisting on its inevitable ties with modem Western literature. The New Literature is after all ＂Chinese＂ new literature; no matter how many external factors intervene or are involved, they cannot change its cultural attributes or identification with national culture. This is the premier precondition for our understanding of the modernity of New Literature.
