All possible cubes are searched, and the cube with the maximum volume is selected. The calculation examples show that the method of growth can be used for a variety of industrial robots. The method of growth can determine the test cube and test points of irregular working space according to ISO 9283, and can avoid blindness and randomness in the selection of test points.展开更多

Three methods of confidence interval in describing permeability coefficients are presented: the secure interval, the calculated interval and the systemic interval. The lower bound of the secure interval can be applied to water-inrush and the upper bound can solve the problem of connectivity. For the calculated interval, as the axial pressure increases, the length of confidence interval is shortened and the upper and lower bounds are reduced. For the systemic interval, the length of its confidence interval, as well as the upper and lower bounds, clearly vary under low axial pressure but are fairly similar under high axial pressure. These three methods provide useful information and references for analyzing the permeability coefficient of over-broken rock.展开更多

The heat insulation performance test is about the temperatures on surfaces of test piece. The high air temperature and the low air temperature were measured to determine the overall heat transfer coefficient and thermal conductivity. The conclusions are drawn that the heat transmission coefficients for each type of existing reflection insulator are: A-1 (0.045 W/(m-K)), A-2 (0.031 W/(m.K)), A-3 (0.042 W/(m.K)), A-4 (0.078 W/(m.K)), and the average heat conductivity is 0.049 W/(m-K); The heat conductivity for each type of Styrofoam insulator are 0.030 W/(m.K) for B-l, 0.032 W/(m-K) for B-2, 0.037 W/(m'K) for B-3, 0.037 W/(m.K) for B-4, and the average heat conductivity is 0.035 W/(m'K) regardless of the thickness of the insulator; The heat conductivity values of the multilayer reflection insulators are converted based on the thickness and type C-1 (0.020 W/(m.K)), C-2 (0.018 W/(m.K)), C-3 (0.016 W/(m.K)), and C-4 (0.012 W/(m.K)); The multilayer reflection insulator keeps the indoor-side surface temperature high (during winter) or low (in summer), enhances the comfort of the building occupants, and conducts heating and moisture resistance to prevent dew condensation on the glass-outer-wall surface.展开更多

The plastic behavior of the extruded alloys with compositions of Mg99.2Zn0.2Y0.6 and Mg89Zn4Y7 (molar fraction, %), which were almost the same compositions of Mg matrix phase and LPSO phase in Mg97Zn1Y2 Mg/LPSO two-phase alloy, respectively, were also prepared. By comparing their mechanical properties, the strengthening mechanisms operating in the Mg97Zn1 Y2 extruded alloy were discussed. Existence of the LPSO-phase strongly enhanced the refinement of Mg matrix grain size during extrusion, which led to a large increment of the strength of alloy. In addition, the LPSO-phases, which were aligned along the extrusion direction in Mg97Zn1Y2 extruded alloy, acted as hardening phases, just like reinforced fibers.展开更多
A study on the validity of volume equations currently used for three timber species, Entandrophragma cylindricum, Erythrophleum ivorensis and Pericopsis elata (Sapelli, Tali and Assamela respectively) in south east ...A study on the validity of volume equations currently used for three timber species, Entandrophragma cylindricum, Erythrophleum ivorensis and Pericopsis elata (Sapelli, Tali and Assamela respectively) in south east Cameroon, was conducted between the months of July and September, 2007 to evaluate their suitability for the site. Twenty-two percent sampling intensity was conducted within annual allowable cuts and diameter readings taken on standing trees with the aid of a wide band Relascope. A non linear regression equation model was employed to compute volume equations and the student's t-test for the analysis of the existing models. Based on individual tree volumes within stands, new equations for the three species were constructed. A comparison was made between the new equations and those that were being used at the site. Results indicated a total standing volume of 0.007 m3/ha obtained for the three species (Sapelli 0.003 m3/ha, Tali 0.002 m3/ha and Assamela 0.002 m3/ha). Two new volume equation models [B] and [C] were retained for their goodness-of-fit with [B] for Assamela and [C] for Sapelli and Tali. Results also showed that a total volume of 0.005 m3/ha was underestimated for the three species (Sapelli 0.002 m3/ha, Tali 0.001 m3/ha and Assamela 0.002 m3/ha) when existing volume equations were applied. It is imperative to construct new volume equations that are compatible with the ecological characteristics of the site using representative samples. Setting-up appropriate methods for their validation shall also serve as checks to future management errors.展开更多

Performance tests were evaluated through Chemical-Looping Hydrogen Genera- tion in a fixed-bed reactor operating at atmospheric pressure. The characterization results showed that all samples were composed of metal oxides and perovskite oxides. Performance results indicated that CH4 conversion over the oxygen car- riers decreased in the lbllowing order: NiO/LaNiO3〉Co203/LaCoO3〉Fe203/LaFeO3. The ability of NiO/LaNiO3 and F%O3/ LaFeO3 to decompose water was stronger than that of Co203/LaCoO3 as evidenced by our experiments. H2 amounting to 80 mL upon reacting on methane in every cycle could be completely oxidized by NiO/LaNiO3 at 900℃ in the period from the third cycle to the eighth cycle.展开更多

Our aim was to compare the results of these breeds in the World Cup of International tests of working dogs (in years 2003-2011), which is the peak of competitions. The authors evaluated results of German shepherd dog performance test and Belgian shepherd Malinois performance in disciplines such as tracking, obedience and defense. Belgian Shepherds achieved in all disciplines higher score than German shepherds. It was found out that Belgian shepherd Malinois get significant higher score in all disciplines (tracking, obedience and defense) than German shepherd. [Objective] The aim was to explore the effect of eliminated the breeding pigs with unqualified CSFV antibody on sow's reproductive performance and pig's growth performance so as to provide a scientific basis f...[Objective] The aim was to explore the effect of eliminated the breeding pigs with unqualified CSFV antibody on sow's reproductive performance and pig's growth performance so as to provide a scientific basis for the eliminating of the breeding pigs with unqualified CSFV antibody in large-scale pig farms.[Method] Serum samples from three scale pig farms were collected and tested with HerdChek CSFV-ELISA kit,then provided a certain scientific basis for scale pig farm to eliminate the unqualified(antibody blocking rate<50%)breeders after booster immunization.[Result ] After eliminating the breeding pigs with unqualified CSFV antibody,the average litter number of piglet in three pig farms(A,B,C)were increased by 0.29(P<0.05),0.40(P<0.01),0.39(P<0.01)respectively;the average number of survival piglets were increased by 0.54(P<0.01),0.35(P<0.01),0.62(P<0.01)respectively;the average litter number of weaned piglets were increased by 0.65(P<0.01),0.71(P<0.01),0.81(P<0.01)respectively.The difference in weight gain of piglet at 30-60 d of age was extremely significant(P<0.01),but inconspicuousness for the swine pregnancy rate,the survival rate of weaned piglet and piglet at 30-60 d of age.[Conclusion] The eliminating the breeding pigs with unqualified CSFV antibody can significantly improve the performance of breeder and piglets.展开更多
