Climate warming greatly affects global agro-production and food security-- becoming a hotspot of global environmental change. This paper proposes a structural and orientational framework for scientifically addressing climatic change impact on agroroduction. Through literature reviews and comparative studies, the paper systematically summarizes influencing mechanisms and impact of climate warming on such agro-production factors as light, temperature, soil quality and water environment. The impact of climate warm- ing on cultivation regions, cropping systems, crop pests, agro- production capacity, agro-economy and farm management is analyzed. Then, suitable climate-adapting agro-development strategies are put forward for different regions in China. The strategies are carefully selected from a repository of international tested climatic change countermeasures in agriculture at national or district level.展开更多

China's participation in global economy can be described as fully utilizing domestic low-end production factors through foreign markets. This type of participation has been overdone. As China aims to engage in a second wave of economic globalization, the focus is to implement an in-depth globalization strategy under the condition of expanding domestic demands, namely and to develop the global economy based on domestic demands, The purpose is to achieve an economic rebalance with the world and help China out of its overcapacity predicament in weaker global economic climates. Moreover, it will bring China a chance to introduce foreign advanced factors to accelerate growth and develop innovation economy by turning economic crisis in the West into opportunities.展开更多

By this paper we would like to develop a comprehensive and adaptive managerial approach of corporate reputation. This is based on the premise that intangible assets (in general) and corporate reputation (in particular) are more and more recognized and managed as sources of (unique) sustainable competitive advantages and as core determinants of firm competitiveness, which are relatively hard to build and very easy to loose.展开更多

In view of this, we should not only need to attach great importance to energy security, making full use of "two markets and two resources" to take a variety of channels to ensure oil supply diversification, but also should develop oil security strategy from a strategic level, and actively participate in international oil trading system. Furthermore, we should support China' s oil enterprises from the political, financial and other aspects, so as to ensure adequate, stable and affordable supply ofoil to meet China' s economic construction requirement.展开更多

Foremost, the institutional framework and economic environment in which research is conceived, designed, implemented, and evaluated need to be explicated. The paper takes the risk possibly over contextualizing processes in order to expose strong economic and institutional forces that are intersecting in food chains. By revealing many layers of economic and institutional context, we are able to show how major actors both inside and outside the food chains are endeavoring to constrain other actors into particular trajectories, thereby remaking the local and global structure, organization, and wider territoriality of the food chains.展开更多

In the global market strategy of "whoever sets standards wins the market", it is the technological leaders that as relevant standards developers take the initiative on the world market. Therefore, from mainly addressing the universality and interoperatability of product parts in the past, technical standards have been respected as the new technical concept and gradually become the commanding height of the industry competition.展开更多

This global integration had an impact on South Asia. This paper examines the significance of the United States defence strategy of combating terrorism and its policy of development. It intends to rethink of the United States defence strategy towards South Asia after September 2001 terrorist attack; whether it is to combat terrorism as stipulated in US national documents or whether it has other intentions. The latter part of this research presents the relevant interventions and defence actions that followed the US policy declarations. The intentions of long-term objectives are implicit in the chain of defence activities that followed to date. In this regard, the significance of this research is to understand how a peaceful atmosphere could be created in South Asia where global development automatically follows. The findings of this research have opened up a relevant and timely topic to inquire into. Specifically, this research encourages Sri Lanka to understand and rethink its foreign policy as a country in a post war period.展开更多

An in-depth analysis of the Chinese national identity in its institutional, economic, cultural, political and strategic dimensions from both domestic and international perspectives can help us grasp the transition that has taken place in China's national identity since 1978. In order to strengthen China's national identity by building domestic consensus and increasing international recognition, China needs to further foster its civic consciousness, increase its soft power, enhance the ties between its national, regional and global identities and actively assume the role of a bridge between the developing and the developed countries.展开更多

Amid continuous social change, economic space has seen a reassertion of trade protectionism, while political space is facing the rise of populist parties. Britain's exit from European Union has dealt a heavy blow to the process of European integration, once again empowering national and local levels through traditional sentiments and redefining the international order in the new era of globalization. In this new era, as global economic integration slows down, the Chinese plan of the Belt and Road Initiative focuses on building a "community of shared future for mankind," "with unwavering efforts to advance and guide economic globalization trends." Its open and inclusive strategic content; its strategic orientation of mutual learning; and its strategic aim of development and coexistence on an economic basis under political intermediation and through the guidance of culture highlight the integration of economic space, mutual trust in political space, and inclusiveness incultural space. The spatial extension of the strategic mutual trust of the Belt and Road Initiative originates in rational reflection on fundamental emotional expectations; instrumental sharing of benefit; emotional involvement; and value judgments. Based on the fact that the population along its route are recipients of the values of strategic mutual trust and also makers of its meanings, we can divide the promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative into cultural resonance zones, zones that activate the interests of different parties, and zones that promote identification, combining regional nodes and cooperative content. In order to enhance the degree of congruence of strategic mutual trust, we should disseminate these values in a way that combines charm, comprehensiveness and accuracy.展开更多
