The vibrational levels v=0 and 2 of the ground electronic state are taken to be the initial and target states, respectively, for the two molecular systems. The influences of the field peak amplitude and pulse duration on the population transfer process are discussed in detail. The pulse duration is required to be longer than 860 fs for the DF molecule to achieve a relatively high transfer probability (more than 80%), while the one for the HF molecule is just required to be longer than 460 fs. Moreover, the intermediate level v=1 and the higher level v=3 may play more important roles in the two-photon resonance process for the DF molecule, compared to the roles in the process for the HF molecule.展开更多

It is also important to promote sus- tainable development of these regions. Analysing residents' satisfaction with public services in mountainous areas can help in evaluating outcomes of fiscal investment and identifying potential coping approaches for improving public service efficiencies. The residents' satisfaction with public services and the factors that influence such satisfaction were examined in this study. A study of 12 towns located in the southwestern Sichuan Province was performed using an entropy-weighted analytic hierarchy process (EWAHP), the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) and Tobit regression methods. The results indicate that: 1) the spatial distribu- tion of satisfaction with public services is non-uniform, and the spatial distribution structure varies for different types of public services. 2) Residents' satisfaction with public services is influenced by both objective and subjective factors. Population density, economic dis- tance, social and cultural divisions and elevation are the major objective factors, whereas bounded rationality, the hierarchy of needs and service expectations are the main subjective factors. The most effective strategies for enhancing residents' satisfaction with public ser- vices are likely to be clustering the population, choosing supply centres with different public services, regulating the cultural division in ethnic minority towns, selecting supply priorities in accordance with residents' needs, implementing targeted intervention policies and establishing 'bottom-up' and 'top-down' integrated decision-making mechanisms. Keywords: mountainous areas; public services; residents' satisfaction; entropy-weighted analytic hierarchy process (EWAHP); technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS); Tobit regression; southwestern Sichuan Province展开更多

Thus, we will try to briefly elaborate on several tendencies about contemporary art in the Republic of Macedonia, by "screening" the theoretical discourses on the issue and by critical perception of recent practices concerning the field. Today's views on the creative practices, incorporated in "conceptual" packages that should develop a new culture of living, are manifested in the creative industries, have been just recently recognized in the Macedonian society. The "propaganda" character of the treatment of artistic practice changes only formally the media of their manifestations. The idea about the possible and necessary engaged attitude of art towards society had its place also in the modern as well in the postmodern concept of art. In the Republic of Macedonia this "ideological" attitude towards art regretfully has also become the main mechanism for political domination, manifested mainly in architecture and landscaping of public space. The commercialisation of art supported by the media imposes the discourses of popular art over the content of high art. It seems that art is represented in the field of "education and science" in the Republic of Macedonia only when certain pragmatic, frequently politicised, interests need to be satisfied.展开更多

However, such services are accompanied by high initial cost of installation and the operating inefficiency due to the absence of design guidelines. To solve these, the integrated management of the process by supplying the public service like voucher schemes to the dwelling is needed. This paper mainly proposes a research about the healthcare service in a residential environment, which includes medical service and safety service and so on, by surveying the voucher program and the in-house infra status. Finally, the house planning elements for healthcare-based smart home are drawn and the planning directions through expert survey are suggested. Therefore, this study surveyed on voucher program and in-house infra status, and drew the house planning elements for health-based care smart home. In addition, this study suggested the planning direction through expert survey. This study can be used as a guideline for constructing a smart home, which supplies healthcare service.展开更多

The questionnaire consisted of questions regarding the understand- ing of cornea donation, the attitude toward cornea donation, and attitude toward legislation and free dona- tion. The awareness of cornea donation between the registered tissue donors and residents was compared. Related factors of the willingness to donate corneas and to become a tissue donor were evaluated with uni- variate and multiple logistic regression analysis. Results A total of 1867 (response rate: 93.4%) tissue donors and 1796 (response rate: 89.8%; ef- fective questionnaires: 1697) residents participated in this survey. For the questions about the knowledge of cornea donation, 90.3% tissue donors (residents: 78.9%) knew that donated corneas could be used for transplantations; 71.2% tissue donors (residents: 47.6%) knew that the appearance would not be destroyed after cornea donation; 70.7% tissue donors (residents: 20.0%) knew the formalities to become a cornea do- nor. For attitude toward cornea donation, 82.2% tissue donors (residents: 45.1%) were willing to donate corneas or eyeballs after death; 84.0% tissue donors (residents: 30.2%) had discussed with their families about donation; 85.1% tissue donors (residents: 24.8%) supported their families' or friends' cornea donation For attitude toward legislation and free donation, 88.3% tissue donors (residents: 61.3%) approved of legis- lation to regular cornea donation; 72.2% tissue donors (residents: 38.8%) thought that cornea or organ do- nation should be gratis. The difference between two groups was significant (P〈0.001). However, some tissue donors did not know cornea donation well, some even opposed the legislation of cornea donation and free donation protocol. For the factors influencing the willingness to donate corneas, population was the mostrelevant factor (P〈0.O01), since tissue donors were more willing to donate corneas than residents. Other significantly related factor were age, gender, occupation, and education level (P〈0.001 ), while political status or religion were not significant. For the factors related to becoming a tissue donor, older age, male, white-collars (including white-collar, civil servant, teacher, soldier, lawyer, salesman, healthcare provider), higher education level, party members (including the Chinese Communist Party members, democratic party members, and the CommunistYouth League members) (P〈0.05). Conclusions The registered tissue donors have better understanding and more positive attitude to- wards cornea donation than control residents do. They approve of the legislation of cornea donation and free donation protocol. It may be more effective to target the population of over 58 years old, male, white-collars, well-educated people, and party members in the promotion of cornea donation.展开更多

Purposive sampling techniques were used to recruit participants from 12 provinces throughout Thailand. The sample included three groups: older Thai people living alone (n = 1,087), clinician who working with Thai older adults (n = 149), and administrators working in aged care and support services in Thailand (n = 83). Data were collected using structured interview guides. Content analysis was used to identify and develop the study findings. Most of the older Thai people living alone were single, widowed or divorced with few wanting to remain living alone. The large majority of participants needed government assistance to manage their activities of daily living including access to health and public services. Participants wanted aged care and support services to assist with their living arrangements, organise community activities, and provide home visits. Moreover, they wanted their families to visit them and provide financial support and care for them when they were ill. These older adults experienced living alone positively and negatively. Some participants felt proud, dignified, and independent. Other participants felt that living alone resulted in poorer health status, particularly emotional problems, especially for those who were not living alone by choice. These participants reported feeling lonely, bored, irritated, sad, and sorrowful. This group of older Thai adults had limited interaction with their families and the wider community. From this study, four strategies were identified to assist older Thai adults to live alone happily, safely and with a sense of dignity, security, and value. These strategies are: ensuring individual choice, maintaining family support, developing community value, and advocating for over-arching government policy support of aged care. A high number of older adults live alone in Thailand and this presents a big challenge for both these individuals and the community in which they live. If this important group in Thai society is to live alone happily and successfully, it needs to be additional assistance to ensure they are supported by families, communities, and government departments.展开更多
