First, the association matrix isdefined to describe relations between concepts in two ontologies. Then, a methodof rewriting queriesbased on the association matrix is presented to solve the ontology heterogeneity problem. Itrewrites the queries in one ontology to approximate queries in another ontology based on thesubsumption relations between concepts. The method also uses vectors to represent queries, and thencomputes the vectors with the association matrix; the disjoint relations between concepts can beconsidered by the results. It can get better approximations than the methods currently in use, whichdonot consider disjoint relations. The method can be processed by machines automatically. The assumptions of orthotropic elastic rock with plane strain conditions are made in derivatio...A new analytical study on stresses around a post-tensioned anchor in rocks with two perpendicular joint sets is presented. The assumptions of orthotropic elastic rock with plane strain conditions are made in derivation of the formulations. A tri-linear bond-slip constitutive law is used for modeling the tendon-grout interface behavior and debonding of this interface. The bearing plate width is also considered in the analysis. The obtained solutions are in the integral forms and numerical techniques that have been used for evaluation. In the illustrative example given, the major principal stress is compressive in the anchor free zone and compressive stress concentrations of 815 k Pa and 727 k Pa(for the anchor load of 300 k N) are observed under the bearing plate and the bond length proximal end, respectively. However, large values of tensile stresses with the maximum of-434 k Pa are formed at the bond length distal end. The results obtained using the proposed solution are compared very those of numerical method(FEM).展开更多

Nowadays, every discipline or field attaches great importance to establishing and applying ontology for research. And ontologies that related to linguistics are WordNet by cognitive linguist Prof. Miller from PrincetonUniversity, FrameNet by Prof. Fillmore from California University, Berkeley, GOLD (General Ontology for Language Description) by Dr. Farrar from Arizona University and DOLCE (Descriptive Ontology for Linguistic and Cognitive Engineering) by CNR cognitive science and technology research centre of Italy, etc. This article focuses on event structures hot discussed in cognitive linguistics, through an ontologically analytical approach, and gives a systematic description on the concepts and semantic relationships involved in the event structures. Any event structure can be represented through the 7S schema. "For some purpose, somebody does something for someone with some means, sometimes and somewhere". Therefore, an event consists of 7 conceptual domains: purpose, actor, action, object, facility, location and time. Ontology mapping is a critical problem for integrating the heterogeneous information sources. It can identify the elements corresponding to each other. At present, there are many ontology mapping algorithms, but most ...Ontology mapping is a critical problem for integrating the heterogeneous information sources. It can identify the elements corresponding to each other. At present, there are many ontology mapping algorithms, but most of them are based on database schema. After analyzing the similarity and difference of ontology and schema, we propose a parsing graph-based algorithm for ontology mapping. The ontology parsing graph (OP-graph) extends the general concept of graph, encodes logic relationship, and semantic information which the ontology contains into vertices and edges of the graph. Thus, the problem of ontology mapping is translated into a problem of finding the optimal match between the two OP-graphs. With the definition of a universal measure for comparing the entities of two ontoiogies, we calculate the whole similarity between the two OP-graphs iteratively, until the optimal match is found. The results of experiments show that our algorithm is promising.展开更多
