In particular, many researchers have expressed a vested interest in the coetticient of the logarithmic term of the black hole entropy correction term. In this paper, we calculate the correction value of the black hole entropy by utilizing the generalized uncertainty prlnciple and obtain the correction term caused by the generalized uncertainty principle. Because in our calculation we think that the Bekenstein-Hawking area theorem is still valid after considering the generalized uncertainty principle, we derive that the coefficient of the logarithmic term of the black hole entropy correction term is positive. This result is different from the known result at present. Our method is valid not only for four-dimensional spacetimes but also for higher-dimensional spacetimes. In the whole process, the physics idea is clear and calculation is simple. It offers a new way for studying the entropy correction of the complicated spacetime.展开更多

The performance over China of RegCM4-CLM with different convection schemes is analyzed in this study, based on a series of short- term experiments.The model is driven by ERA-Interim data at a grid spacing of 25 km.The convection schemes employed are: Emanuel; Grell; Emanuel over land and Grell over ocean; Grell over land and Emanuel over ocean; and Tiedtke. The simulated mean surface air temperature and precipitation in December-February-January and June-July-August are compared against observation. In general, better performance of Emanuel is found both for temperature and precipitation, and in both seasons. Thus, the model physics of CLM and Emanuel for the land surface processes and convection, respectively, are recommended for further application of RegCM4 over the China region. After interpretation and classification of geomorpholog...This paper presents a method of geomorphologic regionalization for Xinjiang, with the use of Srtm-DEM (resolution 90 m) and TM images for 1990 (resolution 30 m). After interpretation and classification of geomorphologic types, the present research focuses on the qualitative and quantitative distribution of different geomorphologic types based on geographical grid analysis. Then, by using system clustering analysis method, geomorphologic types are grouped into divisions. The resulting geomorphologic regionalization hierarchy of Xinjiang includes three levels, i.e., macro-landform divisions, medium-landform divisions, and micro-landform divisions, containing 6, 23 and 200 types, respectively. This method makes it possible to digitally delimit geomorphologic regions. Comparison and verification show that the spatial precision of the boundaries of geomorphologic subareas in Xinjiang is very high.展开更多
On the basis of competency-based comparative advantage theory and reclassification of industries,this paper has discussed whether the FGP-type industry upgrade has taken place across different regions of China and whe...On the basis of competency-based comparative advantage theory and reclassification of industries,this paper has discussed whether the FGP-type industry upgrade has taken place across different regions of China and whether China is able to transcend the middle-income trap through the FGP-type industry upgrade.This paper has discovered that no matter by traditional method of industry classification or the new method of industry classification,China has already experienced the FGP-type industry upgrade and entered into the second stage of this process.While relocating industries to central and western regions,China's eastern region does not have clear directions of industry upgrade of its own.Through analysis on the evolution of comparative advantages across regions,this paper has also discovered that in the process of the FGP industry upgrade,China is facing the risk of falling into comparative advantage trap.These factors are unfavorable to China's implementation of the FGP-type industry upgrade strategy,prevention of the comparative advantage interruptions that may confront middle-income countries and achievement of balanced regional development.展开更多

The mesoscale wind stress perturbation( τ_(MS)) is diagnostically determined from modelled mesoscale SST perturbation(SST_(MS)) by using their empirical relationship derived from corresponding observation. From comparing two experiments with and without the τ_(MS) feedback, it is found that the interactively represented τ_(MS)-SST_(MS) coupling can modulate the kinetic energy along the Kuroshio extension jet, with little effect on the Kuroshio pathway. Similar results are also obtained in three additional sensitivity experiments, which consider half strength of the τ_(MS), and the momentum flux and heat flux effect induced by τ_(MS), respectively. That means simply taking into account the τ_(MS)-SST_(MS) coupling has little effect on improving the simulation of the Kuroshio Current system.展开更多

Geographers should keep in step with the times, accurately grasp the national interests, and seize the opportunity to contribute to the great rejuvenation of our nation. However, due to lack of criticism on the history and philosophy of geopolitics, we can neither accurately understand the geopolitical theory, nor effectively put the geopolitical theory into practice. This paper introduces the development of critical geopolitics, summarizes the three characteristics of critical geopolitics, and interprets the four classical geopolitical theories accordingly. In order to simplify the interpretation process, this paper firstly presents an analytical framework for interpretation of four classical geopolitical theories; secondly, focuses on interpretation of "The Geographical Pivot of History" put forward by Mackinder according to the analytical framework; finally, critically summarizes the four classical geopolitical theories. Through the critical interpretation, this paper draws a conclusion that there are the scientific, hypothetical and conceptual classical geopolitical theories. The construction of classical geopolitical theories is based on the international geopolitical structure, spatial distribution of national interests and inter-state spatial conflict, in order to show the identity of theoretical constructor, so as to reflect the historicality, sociality, situationality and geographical knowledge – power structure of geopolitical theories.展开更多
