We selected six varieties of different thermal and photo-response characteristics as the test material to study the effect of different seedling ages on growth and yield of rice. The results showed that growing period of thermal-response rice was delayed by long seedling age, but less affected by the impact of photo-response rice; the yield of later thermal-re- sponse varieties with 25 days and 30 days seedling ages was significantly reduced. In contrast, the yield of early thermal-response varieties and later photo-response varieties were significantly reduced with 30 days seedling age. The optimal trans- planting seedling age was 15 days of thermal-response rice, while photo-response rice was 20 days. The thermal-response rice should be selected as early maturing varieties, while the photo-response rice could be selected as late maturing varieties for high yield.展开更多

Methods: The effects of CMNa combined with paclitaxel and carboplatin on elevated CA125 levels in 25 post-operation advanced ovarian cancer patients were retrospectively analyzed and com- pared with those in 20 control cases. Results: After 1 cycle of chemotherapy, CA125 levels had decreasing trend compared with control, but had no statistical significance. While after two cycles of chemotherapy, CA125 levels decreased more rapidly compared with those in control. Side effects in two groups were alike. Conclusion: CMNa combined with paclitaxel and car- boplaline has a stronger effect on the decrease of elevated CA125 levels than paclitaxel and carboplatin have in the treatment of post-operation advanced ovarian cancer, which indicates that CMNa has chemo-sensitizing effects on chemotherapy of paclitaxel and carboplatin.展开更多

Altogether, fifteen species have been described here. The two species Nicaniella (N) trigonoides & Protocardia (P) laticostata, which are earlier known from Late Cretaceous of Tiruchirapalli subbasin, southern India, have been recorded for the first time from Narmada Basin. The other species recorded are: Modiolus typicus, Neithea morrisi, Plicatula batnensis, P. numidica, P. instabilis, Lucina (L.) cf. fallax, Astarte similis, Opis corniformis, Protocardia hillana, P. madagascariense, Cytherea (Callista) lancianata, Trigonocallista spathi and Pholadomya sp.. During course of systematic revision, it has been found that many species described by earlier workers from the Late Cretaceous of Bagh Beds have been found conspecific to already known species from the Cretaceous of different parts of the globe and hence, they have been recorded here as junior synonyms. These species have immense implication in the palaeobiogeography of the region.展开更多

And this was suggested as one of the earliest records for fossil cyprinids. Unfortunately, this specimen is poorly preserved and reveals no more morphological information than its serrated last unbranched dorsal and anal fin rays. Recently, some new specimens were unearthed from the same locality, where C. maomingensis was discovered. In addition to the serrated dorsal and anal fin rays, these new materials also show that the pattern and shape of their pharyngeal teeth obviously differ from that of Cyprinus but resemble that of Procypris. However, its number of the branched dorsal fin rays and number of vertebrae are much less than that in Procypris. Morphologically, these specimens are closer to Procypris than to Cyprinus. This is the first report of fossil Procypris-like fish, and it implies that Procypris-like fish is an early member of the Tribe Cyprinini sensu stricto(sensu Yang et al., 2010) and the origin of this group can be traced back at least to the late Eocene.展开更多
