Methods A new type of dispersed phase── composite ultrafine particles (UFP) was obtained by the method of microemulsion, which was used to mix with silicon oil. aam electroinduced stress and apparent viscosity of the ER fluids with three different volume fractions were tested under the conditions of different temperatures, electric fields and shear rates. Results A series of systematic tests show that the new type of ER fluids with volume fraction of 30% possesses obvious ER effect. A demodulator based on convolutional neural networks( CNNs) is proposed to demodulate bipolar extended binary phase shifting keying( EBPSK) signals transmitted at a faster-thanNyquist( FTN) rate, solving the problem of severe inter symbol interference( ISI) caused by FTN rate signals. With the characteristics of local connectivity, pooling and weight sharing,a six-layer CNNs structure is used to demodulate and eliminate ISI. The results showthat with the symbol rate of 1. 07 k Bd, the bandwidth of the band-pass filter( BPF) in a transmitter of 1 k Hz and the changing number of carrier cycles in a symbol K = 5,10,15,28, the overall bit error ratio( BER) performance of CNNs with single-symbol decision is superior to that with a doublesymbol united-decision. In addition, the BER performance of single-symbol decision is approximately 0. 5 d B better than that of the coherent demodulator while K equals the total number of carrier circles in a symbol, i. e., K = N = 28. With the symbol rate of 1. 07 k Bd, the bandwidth of BPF in a transmitter of 500 Hz and K = 5,10,15,28, the overall BER performance of CNNs with double-symbol united-decision is superior to those with single-symbol decision. Moreover, the double-symbol uniteddecision method is approximately 0. 5 to 1. 5 d B better than that of the coherent demodulator while K = N = 28. The demodulators based on CNNs successfully solve the serious ISI problems generated during the transmission of FTN rate bipolar EBPSK signals, which is beneficial for the improvement of spectrum efficiency. 展开更多

To further enhance the corrosion resistance of the porous micro-arc oxidation(MAO) ceramic layers on AZ31 magnesium alloy, superhydrophobic Mg-Al layered double hydroxide(LDH) coating was fabricated on MAO-coated AZ31 alloy by using in-situ growth method followed by surface modification with stearic acid. The characteristics of different coatings were investigated by XRD, SEM and EDS. The effect of the hydrothermal treatment time on the formation of the LDH coatings was studied. The results demonstrated that the micro-pores and cracks of MAO coating were gradually sealed via in-situ growing LDH with prolonging hydrothermal treating time. Electrochemical measurement displayed that the lowest corrosion current density, the most positive corrosion potential and the highest impedance modulus were observed for superhydrophobic LDH/MAO coating compared with those of MAO coating and LDH/MAO coating. Immersion experiment proved that the superhydrophobic LDH/MAO coating with the active anti-corrosion capability significantly enhanced the long-term corrosion protection for MAO coated alloy. 展开更多

This study was conducted to explore the regulation mechanism for key protein expression. The Microcystis treated by short-time ultrasonic wave was select-ed to analyze the total protein based on 2-DE. The results showed that there were 71 up-regulated protein spots, 56 down-regulated protein spots, 54 new protein spots and 21 protein spots disappeared under short-time ultrasonic stress. Eight dif-ferential proteins were chosen for further MALDI-TOFTOF/MS analysis, and the re-sults showed that 2 unknown proteins and 6 functional proteins were detected. These proteins were relevant to some physiological processes, such as antioxidation and anti-inflammatory process, phosphate synthesis and electron transfer, which is beneficial to the metabolic balance and self-protection under short-time ultrasonic stress. 展开更多

The novolak resin was allylated and then copolymerized with BMI. The structure of allyl novolak and reaction mechanism were analyzed by FFIR. Thermal and mechanical properties were characterized by using com- prehensive thermal analyzer (DSC-TG) and strength tester, respectively. The results showed that high molecular weight of novolak was advantageous for heat-resistance, but was unfavorable for the bending strength. High allyl content improved the heat-resistance but lowered the bending strength. When the molecular weight of novolak was 450 and allyl content was 50%, the best resin system with good heat-resistance and bending strength was obtained. It was suitable for the manufacturing of superabrasive tools. 展开更多

AIM: TO assess the efficacy of intramuscular diclofenac and fluid replacement for prevention of post-endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) pancreatitis.METHODS: A prospective, placebo-controlled study was conducted in 80 patients who underwent ERCP. Patients were randomized to receive parenteral diclofenac at a loading dose of 75 mg followed by the infusion of 5-10 mL/kg per hour isotonic saline over 4 h after the procedure, or the infusion of 500 mL isotonic saline as placebo. Patients were evaluated clinically, and serum amylase levels were measured 4, 8 and 24 h after the procedure.RESULTS: The two groups were matched for age, sex, underlying disease, ERCP findings, and type of treatment. The overall incidence of pancreatitis was 7.5% in the diclofenac group and 17.5% in the placebo group (12.5% in total). There were no significant differences in the incidence of pancreatitis and other variables between the two groups. In the subgroup analysis, the frequency of pancreatitis in the patients without sphincter of Oddi dysfunction (SOD) was significantly lower in the diclofenac group than in the control group (ρ = 0.047).CONCLUSION: Intramuscular diclofenac and fluid replacement lowered the rate of pancreatitis in patients without SOD. 展开更多

By applying meander-line for electrical loss and magnetic material for magnetic loss,we present a metamaterial absorber which is wide-spaced and dual-band(1.35—2.24 GHz and 10.37—12.37 GHz).The novelty of this study mainly lies in a combination of two kinds of losses to consume electromagnetic energy,which can get better dual-band absorption.In the electrical loss layer,meander-line structures are printed on both surfaces of the substrate and the structure series with resistors.Considering the need for miniaturization,we connect eight metallic vias with these meander-line areas to form a compact 2.5-dimensional(2.5D)structure.The dimension of the unit cell is miniaturized to be 5.94 mm×5.94 mm,about 0.035λat the center frequency of the lower absorption band.In the magnetic loss layer,the 0.4 mm thick magnetic material is employed on a metallic ground plane.In addition,the complex permittivity and complex permeability of the magnetic material are given.Finally,we fabricate a prototype of the proposed absorber and obtain a measurement result which is in good agreement with the full-wave simulation result. 展开更多

Plant RNA N-glycosidase specifically hydrolyzes the N-C glycosidic bond of a conserved adenosine in the sarcin/ricin domain of the largest RNA in ribosome, releasing an adenine base and thus inhibiting protein synthesis. This substrate specificity was challenged later by discovery that various RNA derivatives and DNAs, especially the double-stranded supercoiled DNA could be used as substrate by RNA N-glycosidase. Thus, it was argued whether the DNA-cleaving activity was an intrinsic feature of RNA N-glycosidase or it was contaminated by DNase. In this article, several lines of evidence are presented to show that RNA N-glycosidase can really release the adenine base from the double-stranded supercoi/ed DNA.
