METHODS Patients who underwent upper gastrointestinal endoscopy at the First Affiliated Hospital,College of Medicine,Zhejiang University,Hangzhou,China during Jan 2009 to Nov 2016 were included. General characteristics as well as clinical data were collected,including blood routine,serum biochemical analysis,endoscopic findinds,histological evaluation and comorbiditie. Statistical analyses was performed using SPSS 20.0 software for Windows(IBM Inc.,Chicago,IL,United States) using Student's t-test,Mann-Whitney U test,χ2 test,univariable and multivariable logistic analysis. 2-tailed P value less than 0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. RESULTS A total of 176006 endoscopies were retrieved and we included 1370 xanthelasma participants(703 men,667 women) in this study. Prevalence of xanthelasma was 0.78% with average age of 56.6 ± 11.2 years. Chief complaint of xanthelasma consisted abdominal pain (24.2%),up-abdominal discomfort(14.1%),abdominal distention(10.1%),dyspepsia(9.1%),et al. Most xanthelasma occurred as single lesion in gastric antrum. Xanthelasma patients witnessed higher Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) infection rate,more of other gastric lesions including atrophy,intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia(P < 0.01). In xanthelasma patients,serum carcinoembryonic antigen,triglyceride,fasting glucose,neutrophil,neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio were significantly higher,and high density lipoprotein-cholesterol,lymphocyte was lower(P < 0.05). Xanthelasma accompanied with more fatty liver disease and hepatic cyst,but fewer gallbladder polyp(P < 0.05). In logistic regression,it revealed that fasting plasma glucose(OR = 3.347,1.170-9.575,P < 0.05),neutrophil(OR = 1.617,1.003-2.605,P < 0.05),and carcinoembryonic antigen(OR = 2.011,1.236-3.271,P < 0.01) were all independent risk factors in xanthelasma. CONCLUSION Current study described a large xanthelasma cohort in Chinese population,revealed its relationship with H. pylori infection,carcinogenesis,metabolic dysfunction and inflammation as well.展开更多

In recent years the issue of corporate governance and committees related to it and their impacts on corporate performance have continued to gain widespread prominence in the capital market economy. Corporate Governance Rating is meant to indicate the relative level to which an organisation accepts and follows the codes and guidelines of corporate governance practices. The purpose of the paper is to examine the rating reports of 27 companies which have obtained the corporate governance rating by rating agencies. The study highlights that the "stakeholders" sections of the reports are the most powerful part of the reports whereas the "board of directors" sections are the weakest. Often linked with beneficial effects on vision, a broader role for lutein in neuronal differentiation has emerged recently, although the underlying mechanisms for these effects are not yet dear. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of lutein on neuronal differentiation and explore the associated underpinning mechanisms. We found that lutein treatment enhanced the differentiation of SH-SYSY cells, specifically increasing neuronal arborization and expression of the neuronal process filament protein microtubule-associated protein 2. This effect was mediated by the intracellular phosphoinositide-3-kinase (PI3K) signaling pathway. While PI3K activity is a known trigger of neuronal differentiation, more recently it has also been shown to modulate the metabolic state of cells. Our analysis of bioenergetics found that lutein treatment increased glucose consumption, rates of glycolysis and enhanced respiratory activity of mitochondrial complexes. Concomitantly, the generation of reactive oxygen species was increased (con- sistent with previous reports that reactive oxygen species promote neuronal differentiation), as well as the production of the key metabolic intermediate acetyl-CoA, an essential determinant of epigenetic status in the cell. We suggest that lutein-stimulated neuronal differentiation is mediated by PI3K-dependent modulation of mitochondrial respiration and signaling, and that the consequential metabolic shifts initiate epigenetically dependent transcriptomic reprogramming in support of this morphogenesis. These obser- vations support the potential importance of micronutrients supplementation to neurogenesis, both during normal development and in regenerative repair.展开更多

The paper argues that the system...Based on the single-factor market model, this paper examines the confirmation basis and measurement of the losses arising from systematic risk in the civil damages of false statements. The paper argues that the systematic risk not only affects the investment in securities during times of financial crisis, but also causes losses in daily securities trading. The paper carries out an empirical analysis on the existence of fl coefficient for China's listed companies within a period of one year, and examines the impact of systematic risk on the losses of investors. The civil damages of false statements should take full account of the losses arising from systematic risk. After analysis, the paper uses the correlation coefficient to represent the ratio of losses arising from systematic risk of all the transactions of a particular stock during a certain period of time, and tries to develop two methods to measure the damages after adjusting the losses caused by the systematic risk. The paper has a theoretical foundation for the estimation of losses caused by systematic risk, and matches the risks and returns. The result of the paper has provided an effective method of calculation in the determination of reasonable damages in the case of China Langfang Development Co., Ltd.展开更多
