Unde...This paper presented a game theoretic model to study the competition for a single investment oppertunity under uncertainty. It models the hazard rate of investment as a function of competitors' trigger level. Under uncertainty and different information structure, the option and game theory was applied to researching the optimal Nash equilibrium strategies of one or more firm. By means of Matlab software, the paper simulates a real estate developing project example and illustrates how parameter affects investment strategies. The paper's work will contribute to the present investment practice in China.展开更多
To improve the safety performance of urban tunnels,the fixation transfer characteristics of drivers with different driving experience levels in urban tunnels were investigated.First,a real vehicle test was performed i...To improve the safety performance of urban tunnels,the fixation transfer characteristics of drivers with different driving experience levels in urban tunnels were investigated.First,a real vehicle test was performed in an urban tunnel,and the eye movement data of 10 drivers with different driving experience levels were collected using a Dikablis eye-tracking system.Second,the driver fixation range was divided into eight areas of visual interest by using the K-means clustering method,and the fixations in different sections of the tunnel were comparatively analyzed.Finally,on the basis of the divided areas of visual interest,fixation transfer rules and the stationary distribution characteristics of drivers with different driving experience levels on different sections of the tunnel were discussed using Markov theory.Results indicate that drivers'probability of repeated fixation is greater and that the efficiency of visual search is lower at internal sections of tunnels than in external sections.Drivers obtain information mainly from the straight upper front and straight lower front areas,and the probabilities of fixation points in these two areas at the threshold and exit sections are significantly higher than those in other sections.Relative to experienced drivers,novice drivers allocate little attention to the straight upper front area and rear-view mirrors.Hence,they have weak fixation when looking forward,and they lack experience in obtaining information on rear-approaching vehicles and controlling speed.展开更多
The sparse nature of location finding in the spatial domain makes it possible to exploit the Compressive Sensing (CS) theory for wireless location.CS-based location algorithm can largely reduce the number of online me...The sparse nature of location finding in the spatial domain makes it possible to exploit the Compressive Sensing (CS) theory for wireless location.CS-based location algorithm can largely reduce the number of online measurements while achieving a high level of localization accuracy,which makes the CS-based solution very attractive for indoor positioning.However,CS theory offers exact deterministic recovery of the sparse or compressible signals under two basic restriction conditions of sparsity and incoherence.In order to achieve a good recovery performance of sparse signals,CS-based solution needs to construct an efficient CS model.The model must satisfy the practical application requirements as well as following theoretical restrictions.In this paper,we propose two novel CS-based location solutions based on two different points of view:the CS-based algorithm with raising-dimension pre-processing and the CS-based algorithm with Minor Component Analysis (MCA).Analytical studies and simulations indicate that the proposed novel schemes achieve much higher localization accuracy.展开更多

We then define and analyze a version of such models whose fluctuating total population size is conserved on average only. In our model, the population of interest is seen as being embedded in a frame process which is a critical Galton Watson process. In this context, we address problems such as extinction, fixation, size of the population at fixation and survival probability to a bottleneck effect of the environment.展开更多
