OBE理念指导下“城市设计”课程教学改革研究

针对城乡规划行业发展的时代背景及对城市设计人才的要求,结合OBE教育理念对“城市设计”课程教学进行问题评估,探索以学生为中心、以学习效果和综合能力提升为导向的教学模式,通过教学目标、教学方法、教学内容、教学评估体系的改革实践,培养符合行业需求的城市设计人才。

人工智能赋能城乡规划专业本科设计教学探讨——以“城市设计”课程为例

科技进步促进城市发展转型,加之当前人工智能蓬勃发展,为城乡规划学科教学发展与人才培养带来较大的冲击,尤其是新工科视域下培养既懂规划又会技术的复合型人才成为当前教育教学的重点。基于此,结合城乡规划学科背景与特色,本文提出智慧教育融于OBE理念的教学新体系、智慧设计赋能竞赛的产学研一体化教学新模式。本文以“城市设计”课程为例,针对教学现状的技术滞后、学科交叉融合度不足与前沿性不足等问题提出相应融入人工智能的教学方法,以期提升“现状分析—理念融入—方案设计”全过程教学质量,为第四次科技革命中城市规划学科提升与改革提供一个可借鉴的高校教学模式。

“双一流”是中国高等教育的一项重大国家级战略。课程教学改革如何为风景园林专业达到“双一流”水平贡献力量,是北京林业大学“城市风景规划”课程改革的重点和难点。梳理全国典型院校风景园林专业研究生培养方式和“城市设计”课程设置途径,总结了各校相关专业研究生教学特点。北京林业大学“城市风景规划”课程针对理论教学、实践教学和科研反哺教学实施改革,为加快实现风景园林专业“双一流”建设目标奠定基础,以期为其他高校相关课程建设和革新提供有益思路。

Spatial Planning and Designing for Campuses in the New Era

Current education system reform poses unprecedented opportunities for higher schools. The research proposed components and organization types for uni- versity/college spatial configuration based on campus spaces at home and abroad. Waterfront Spatial Design from the Perspective of Sponge City

Due to environmental awareness, demand for watercourse landscape eco- function is growing domestically. However, flood control and drainage are the only focuses, and the rest functions of water course are slighted. Besides, cross-section biodiversity is falling and wetland self-cleaning capacity is impairing, resulting from river limitation on riverbed, making a straight river bend and revetment. So, water course has to be managed from ecology, economy, culture and social effect, to re- store natural river function and meet human demands. And to return to nature and people first would be the general principles.

Unification and Harmonization in True Color Image City Map

True color image city map is a sort of new-style map which combines the high resolution image and map symbols and shows both advantages in visualization. At the same time, the map unification and harmonization should be taken into account dur-ing the design process, since some visual conflicts appear when map symbols overlaid on the true color image. The objective of this research is to explore the rules in the process of true color image city map design based on chromatic and aesthetic knowledge. At the end, taking the Image Atlas of Guangzhou as an example, image color adjustment, road network presentation, and symbol de-signing issues will be discussed in the application.

Primary stage of solar energy use in architecture-Shadow control

In architecture and urban design,solar energy plays an important role to save fossil energy and preserve environment.Passive or active use of this energy needs especial consideration in the preliminary stage of design to the probable shadows.This work will answer two questions:1) How is it possible to distinguish shadow need periods during a year in a specific climate-2) How is it possible to produce shadow in hot periods without being deprived of pleasant sunshine in cold periods-In this regard,it will introduce the usage process and opportunities of "shading mask" of Olgyay as an easy and useful graphical method in six steps.At the end,different ways of using this method in design will be discussed.Several research projects that have been done in past 30 years will support the argument as examples of this method.

Smart City Architecture： A Technology Guide for Implementation and Design Challenges

Urban development is becoming increasingly reliant on effective use of intelligent services.In the process of providing better services to all citizens and improving the efficiency of administration processes,the concept of a smart city has been lauded as a promising solution for the coming challenge of global urbanization.However,due to the broad scope of smart cities their definition has not been standardized,thus proposed architectures are diverse.This work proposes a new architecture from the perspective of the data that underpins all the functionality of smart cities.The proposed architecture is discussed,outlining design challenges and offering insight into the development of smart cities.

Children's participatory design for sustainable development and community planning

The urban developments have been carried out by only professionals for a long time because of efficiency and safety. However, most residents are ordinary people. Therefore, it is necessary to change the awareness of sustainable living environments, not only on the construction side but also the residents. In recent years, the number of cases of residents＇ participation in planning, maintaining, and repairing increased. However, sometimes youths and children, who might spend a lifetime longer than adults in a city after the developments have been done, are not included in this ＂Residents＂. Conceming youth and children＇s participation, CFC （child friendly city） is one of the good practices for sustainable development. It was launched by UNICEF （United Nations Intemational Children＇s Emergency Fund） and UN-Habitat in the Habitat II in 1996. City governments, especially in European countries, started to view CFC as their key concept for preservation and/or sustainable development. CFC means not only being ＂Children＂ friendly but also ＂All people＂ friendly. Various effects have been reported since the Historic Cities/districts included CFC in their city planning as a common concept, especially in education, community re-development, and operation and maintenance by the community. It is expected that better city planning in preservation and sustainable development can be achieved by adding CFC concept. In this research, an ideal way of city planning involving resident participation and the possibility in the future are analyzed based on case studies. Then a strategy of sustainable development and community planning involving youth and children＇s participation is proposed.

Analysis of Landscape Patterns in the Urban-Rural Integrated Area Based on Moving Window: A Case Study of Sanshui District in Foshan City

The urban-rural integrated area in Sanshui District of Foshan City was selected for research, and the impact of landscape pattern around the No.269 provincial highway was analyzed based on the land-use data in 2014 using the spatial analysis in GIS and the moving window method. The results showed that:(1) within the scope of a 2 km-range buffer zone, with a low degree of heterogeneity, land for construction use and water area were the dominant land-use types, while with a high degree of fragmentation, cultivated land, wooded land, grassland, garden land, land for other farm uses, and land unused were scattered;(2) the 250-m square moving window could well detect the change characteristics of landscape pattern on both sides of the road;(3) the gradient analysis of landscape pattern in urban-rural integrated area, which was conducted with the aid of a 750-m transect on both sides of the road, indicated that there were significant differences between landscape indexes both in the urban-rural integrated area and on both sides of the road;(4) the road that had an obvious cutting and fragmentation impact on the landscape was an important factor leading to the increasing fragmentation and heterogeneity to regional landscapes.

Urban Garden Planning and Design and Ornamental Plant Protection

Due to the rapid economic and social development, the quality of life of people has been significantly improved, and peopled demand for living environment has become increasingjy high, which has increased peopled awareness of landscaping. Because of the development of urbankation, however, most cities have lost their balance in the ecological enviionment although they seem to have the modem flavor of life. Integrating garden design with plant protection is an important measure to protect the ecological environment and maintain ecological balance. How to protect the plants in urban garden planning and design has become a problem to be solved by garden designers. In this paper, the relationship between garden design and plant protection was ekbofated, the status quo and problems of ornamental plant protection were analyzed, and measures to protect ornamental plants were proposed.

Global Urban Design Research from 2007 to 2017: A Systematic Research Review

Urban design research in the last decade was reported by conducting a bibliometric analysis of the literature published worldwide between 2007 and 2017. The exploratory study aimed to show the origins and frontiers for researchers. The document co-occurrence analysis of keywords and co-citation analysis of references were made in CiteS pace III to explore research basements and research trajectories, emerging trends and new development, together with Bibexcel tools. Physical activities and thermal comfort are two main topics of urban design research that are indirectly connected in some way, and sociological and computer-based research is likely to be strengthened.

Microclimate in Hot Dry Damascus： The Influence of the Urban Environment on Human Perception

There is a broad recognition that microclimatic conditions contribute to the quality of life in cities. A favorable microclimate has a positive influence on both commercial and social activities. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the human being and the surrounding thermal environment in terms of thermal acceptability, physical quality of the place, emotional state and the usage of the urban space in hot dry Damascus, Syria. The study is based on questionnaire surveys during the summer and winter in six locations with different microclimates. It is shown that the urban design plays a significant role in improving the microclimate, especially during the summer. The study also illustrates that when people＇s thermal perception is within the thermally acceptable range （i.e., slightly cool, comfortable and slightly warm） they experience the urban design as significantly more beautiful and more pleasant than during thermally unacceptable conditions. The results indicate that there is an interactive relationship between the urban design and humans＇ emotional state. Our findings suggest that a new perspective is needed for determining urban microclimate requirements and incorporating them into the urban design process to enhance the thermal environment in outdoor urban spaces in Damascus.

Application of Stone Carving in Urban Green Space

Stone carving as a medium of cultural exchange in the modern urban green space is widely used, and the integration of urban green space landscape presents a new type of artistic atmosphere. The research outlined classification and function of stone carving in urban green space, and analyzed different aesthetic themes of stone carving＇s application in urban green space and the aesthetic taste and geographical features expressed by aesthetic themes. The application in Ma＇anshan Zhu Ran Park, Children＇s Park, Pearl showed the deep meaning of stone carving art and its distinctive personality traits.

Using Mixed Reality as a Simulation Tool in Urban Planning Project for Sustainable Development

Nowadays, urban design faces complex demands. It has become a necessity to negotiate between stakeholder objectives, the expectations of citizens and the demands of planning. It is desirable to involve the stakeholders and citizens from an early stage in the planning process to enable their different viewpoints to be successfully expressed and comprehended. Therefore, the basic aim of the study was how the MR （mixed reality） application is designed to encourage and improve communication on urban design among stakeholders and citizens？ In this paper, we discuss new approaches to visualize urban building and environment alternatives to different stakeholders and provide them with tools to explore different approaches to urban planning in order to support citizen＇s participation in urban planning with augmented and mixed reality. The major finding of the study is that learning ＂how these participatory technologies may help build a community of practice around an urban project＂. And throughout the different experiences, we can learn to assist towards development of a methodology to use the mixed reality as a simulation tool in the enhancement of collaborative interaction in real-Egyptian project. So, we can determine a number of recommendations to deal with new participatory design tools for urban planning projects.

Personal Urbanities： Domesticating the Public Domain

City and personality have never been easily associated. Historically, since classical antiquity, urban space has always been the reflection of a collective identity representing the natural inclination of human beings to live in group. However, according to Lewis Mumford, the city has been the context in which another ideal arose--the concept of personality. This ideal, according to the official history of urban design, seems to have had a very marginal role, if not as a formal or functional analogous structure. Nevertheless, looking at the physical consistence of built space--as well as its ideal formulation--it is not difficult to find some evidence of Mumford＇s theory. Therefore, the paper, through an architectural overview ranging from classical street-side benches to contemporary digital cities, aims at outlining the progressive change in the representation of urban identities from a collective to a more personal dimension. It describes how public space design, especially during the last 30 years, has redefined its strategies in order to increase the possibilities of personal intervention for users, and it focuses on the gradual shift of this discipline towards other scales, instruments and objectives, in a sudden disciplinary convergence with interior architecture and industrial design. Thus, showing how a pervasive process of domestication is nowadays transforming not only the use, but also the symbolic meaning that the public domain has traditionally had.

Construction of Cultural Landscape System for Ancient Yiyang City from the Perspective of “Mountain, Water and City”

As the revitalization of city culture and the city cultural confidence has been increasingly valued, the ancients' perception and interpretation of mountains, rivers and cultural landscapes, as well as their wisdom in the construction of traditional cities deserve more attention and further exploration. Taking ancient Yiyang City for example, this paper on the basis of local chronicles and literature analyzed the construction history of the city, famous mountains and rivers, and top eight views, and attempted to interpret the construction system of "mountain, river and city" landscape of traditional Chinese cities, in order to provide historical basis and cultural background for revitalizing local cultures and shaping urban landscape patterns, and offer spatial strategies for the city protection and renewal.
