Testing results show that a DGGFC mixture possesses a dense stone-matrix structure, good stability and almost the same texture depth as stone matrix asphalt (SMA). It also has a coarse and even surface after paving and has no separation during construction. It is durable and impermeable. It balances and improves the inherent inconsistency of asphalt mixture between the large texture depth for skid resistance and the impermeability for durability. The actual application in the Nanning-Liuzhou Expressway also shows that the performance of the DGGFC is as excellent as that of SMA, while the DGGFC mixture is cheaper than SMA. The DGGFC mixture is good for wearing course of pavement. Further research on DGGFC can be helpful for improving the surface skid resistance, prolonging the life-span period and reducing the construction costs of asphalt pavement.展开更多

In free viewpoint video(FVV)and 3DTV,the depth image-based rendering method has been put forward for rendering virtual view video based on multi-view video plus depth(MVD) format.However,the projection with slightly d...In free viewpoint video(FVV)and 3DTV,the depth image-based rendering method has been put forward for rendering virtual view video based on multi-view video plus depth(MVD) format.However,the projection with slightly different perspective turns the covered background regions into hole regions in the rendered video.This paper presents a depth enhanced image summarization generation model for the hole-filling via exploiting the texture fidelity and the geometry consistency between the hole and the remaining nearby regions.The texture fidelity and the geometry consistency are enhanced by drawing texture details and pixel-wise depth information into the energy cost of similarity measure correspondingly.The proposed approach offers significant improvement in terms of 0.2dB PSNR gain,0.06 SSIM gain and subjective quality enhancement for the hole-filling images in virtual viewpoint video.展开更多
The present study investigates the testees' test-taking process for banked cloze, focusing on the following two aspects: the information sources and strategies. Employing simultaneous introspection and immediate r...The present study investigates the testees' test-taking process for banked cloze, focusing on the following two aspects: the information sources and strategies. Employing simultaneous introspection and immediate retrospection, the study is conducted among 18 non-English major students. After examining their test-taking processes, a framework for analyzing testees' test-taking processes for banked cloze test is put forward. And then the researcher applies this framework to analyze the testees' protocols. Results show that regarding information sources, clause-level information accounts for the largest proportion, followed by text-level information, sentence-level information and extra-textual information, and in terms of strategies, the testees show a clear preference for bottom-up processing strategies, followed by top-down processing strategies and test-wise processing strategies. The verbal protocols have further revealed that the proficient readers seem to have a context-based reading model and they prefer to grasp the gist of the text, whereas the less proficient readers often employ word-based approaches and they are apt to identify parts of the text.展开更多
