The purpose of college English teaching is to enable students to master certain basic knowledge and skills in English, with some listening, speaking, reading, writing, translation ability, a simple verbal and written communication in daily activities and foreign business activities. Modem information technology provides a strong tecbaaical support to achieve this goal. Multimedia teaching methods widely used in teaching activities to vocational English class have brought a series of profound changes. Due to the fast development of the Internet and other modern communication, people now interact easier than ever beyond the national boundaries and live in a global village. In the era of globalization, multicultural education has been important for all people around the world ever since their early childhood. Art is a necessary approach for young children to learn the world and expand their vision. It is also a good path for young children to learn different cultures, to foster respect for them, to enjoy cultures different from themselves, and to improve their skills for interacting with people from other cultural backgrounds. The main purposes of this article are to discuss the reason why art can be a potential approach to learning multi-cultural education and how an art approach can nourish young children's multi-cultural equipment. To reach these two purposes, literature review and case study analysis are adopted. There are five sections in this article. The first section introduces the background of this study. The second section explores the relation between art and multi-culture. The third section discusses how to use art in an antibias way and respect different cultures for young children. The fourth section analyzes two cases in order to know how to design curriculum, practice teaching and evaluate the efforts of multicultural education. The finally section is about the conclusion and some suggestions. 展开更多

Each source signal is extracted in two stages: a filtered version of the source signal is first obtained by solving the generalized eigenvalue problem, which is then followed by a single channel blind deconvolution based on ensemble learning. Simulation demonstrates the capability of the approach to perform efficient mutichannel blind deconvolution. 展开更多

The taxonomy of Coilia has been extensively studied in China,and yet phylogenetic relationships among component taxa remain controversial.We used a PCR-based fingerprinting technique,amplified fragment length polymorphism(AFLP) to characterize and identify all four species of Coilia in China.We examined the genetic relationships of the four species of Coilia and a subspecies of Coilia nasus with AFLP.A total of 180 AFLP loci were generated from six primer combinations,of which 76.11% were polymorphic.The mean genetic distance between pairs of taxa ranged from 0.047 to 0.596.The neighbor-joining tree and UPGMA dendrogram resolved the investigated species into three separate lineages:(1) C.mystus,(2) C.grayii and(3) C.brachygnathus,C.nasus,and C.nasus taihuensis.Phylogenetic analysis of the AFLP data is inconsistent with current morphological taxonomic systems.The AFLP data indicated a close relationship among C.brachygnathus,C.nasus taihuensis,and C.nasus.Therefore,the two species described under Coilia(C.brachygnathus and C.nasus taihuensis) are treated as synonyms of C.nasus. 展开更多

Methods: This is a descriptive ana... Purpose: Unsafe behaviors are an important cause of accidents in adolescent age groups. This study was designed to examine the behaviors of adolescent pedestrians in southern Iran. Methods: This is a descriptive analytical cross-sectional study. The study population consisted of high school students in Shiraz, capital city of Fars Province, Iran. Five hundred and sixteen students were selected by multi-stage sampling. Data were collected by the use of three questionnaires, which included Persian copies of adolescent road user behavior questionnaire (ARBQ), Duke University Religious Index (DUREL), as well as the context and independent variables questionnaire. Results: The results showed that a decrease in dangerous behaviors on the road resulted in an increase in respondents' intrinsic religiosity. Also, engagement in unsafe crossing behavior in the road decreased with increasing respondents' intrinsic religiosity. Another finding showed that female students were less involved in dangerous play and planned protective behaviors on the road. Conclusion: Findings clearly indicate that intrinsic religiosity has a significant role in reducing the risky road behaviors of students. Hence, religion may improve road safety in school students' road behavior in Iran. 展开更多
