课程思政融入“大学数学”课程调查分析

教育是国之大计、党之大计。高校肩负着为党和国家培养人才的重任,应高站位认识课程思政的时代价值,提升立德树人的针对性和实效性。本研究运用问卷调查及文献研究等方法,了解当代大学生对课程思政的了解程度和态度、大学对学生品行影响情况以及大学数学教师融入课程思政的方法,针对调查结果给出了“大学数学”课程教学的一些建议。

开设“大学数学课程实验”提升学生数学应用能力

随着计算机技术的飞速发展,数学的应用对于当代科技的作用越发重要。建立数学模型,用数学理论和方法,结合计算机软件解决工程技术及一些实际问题是十分重要的。"大学数学课程实验"的开设,正是适应当代科技的发展与要求。为了使学生能够应用数学知识和方法解决问题,本文对"大学数学课程实验"如何提升学生数学应用能力进行探讨和实践。

Primary study on Nosema bombycis Infecting the Insect of Drosophila

[ Objective ] The aim of this study was to investigate the infectivity of Nosema bombycis to drosophila, which offered a new vision for systematical studies on the infection mechanism of Nosema bombycis, and also provided reference for the bio-control effect of Nosema bombycis. [ Method ] Nosema bombycis was used to feed wild type and mutant drosophila, and the morphological observation of Nosema bombycis in drosophila body fluid was also analyzed by calcofluor white M2R fluorescent staining. [ Result] Nosema bombycis could infect drosophila, and the number of Nosema bombycis in the infected mutant drosophila was higher than that in wild type drosophila. [ Conclusion ] Nosema bombycis can infect drosophila, which provides primary reference for studies on the infectivity of Nosema bombycis to other hosts and also lays a foundation for further study on the infection mechanism of Nosema bombycis.

Image edge detection based on nonsubsampled contourlet transform and mathematical morphology

A novel algorithm for image edge detection is presented. This algorithm combines the nonsubsampled contourlet transform and the mathematical morphology. First, the source image is decomposed by the nonsubsampled contourlet transform into multi-scale and multi-directional subbands. Then the edges in the high-frequency and low-frequency sub-bands are respectively extracted by the dualthreshold modulus maxima method and the mathematical morphology operator. Finally, the edges from the high- frequency and low-frequency sub-bands are integrated to the edges of the source image, which are refined, and isolated points are excluded to achieve the edges of the source image. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively suppress noise, eliminate pseudo-edges and overcome the adverse effects caused by uneven illumination to a certain extent. Compared with the traditional methods such as LoG, Sobel, and Carmy operators and the modulus maxima algorithm, the proposed method can maintain sufficient positioning accuracy and edge details, and it can also make an improvement in the completeness, smoothness and clearness of the outline.

Research on the integration of the mathematical culture into the mathematical teaching in universities

In the university education, the mathematical teaching is an important and indispensable part. And now the integration of the mathematical culture in the university teaching is the effective method to improve the timeliness of the teaching and the enthusiasm of the students, and it also can effectively alleviate the problem of the disconnection in the university mathematical teaching, with the successful implementation of the transition. The university mathematics has very high demands in the teaching contents, the teaching ideas and the teaching methods, so the reasonable integration of the mathematical culture into the university mathematics is very important. The mathematical culture in the teaching of college mathematics is discussed and analyzed in this paper.

Attitude, Secondary Schools and Student Success in a Tertiary Mathematics Unit

There is a consensus in the literature that mathematical ability contributes to student success in tertiary education. More importantly, mathematical skills are necessary when successfully completing mathematics- and/or science-based degrees. Social sciences such as psychology and economics require statistical skills which also require knowledge of mathematics. Even business students, such as marketing and accounting students need the necessary mathematical skills to successfully complete their degrees at university. This paper suggests that student success in a core business subject is dependent on their mathematical aptitude, attitude, and type of secondary schooling whether government or non-government schools. There is urgency for universities to recognize that high failure rates are due to insufficient mathematics exposure in secondary schooling and remedial classes might not be enough. Specifying a minimum （maths, e.g., two units） requirement for entry and/or providing bridging programs to ensure students have the necessary basic mathematical skills would increase student success in quantitative units.

A Categorification of Quantum sl_2

In this paper, we categorify the algebra Uq（sl2） with the same approach as in [A. Lauda, Adv. Math. （2010）, arXiv：math.QA/0803.3662; M. Khovanov, Comm. Algebra 11 （2001） 5033]. The algebra U =Uq（sl2） is obtained from Uq（sl2） by adjoining a collection of orthogonal idempotents 1λ,λ ∈ P, in which P is the weight lattice of Uq（sl2）. Under such construction the algebra U is decomposed into a direct sum λ∈p 1λ,U1λ. We set the collection of λ∈ P as the objects of the category U, 1-morphisms from λ to λ′ are given by 1λ,U1λ, and 2-morphisms are constructed by some semilinear form defined on U. Hence we get a 2-category u from the algebra Uq（sl2）.

Phased Teaching of Higher Mathematics

Mathematics is one of the basic courses of public university freshmen non-math majors, it is an important tool for students to learn the successor program, and the learning process can develop and exercise their thinking and ability. Given the differences in different periods of higher mathematics learning objects, as well as students learning content in different periods and in different conditions, teachers in the teaching mode of teaching could be considered stage of teaching. That is, different content based on various stages of teaching and student learning, and use different teaching methods and means to carry out teaching.

Perceptions of Instructors and Students to Online Education at a Rural University

The popularity of technology has allowed universities to make changes through their educational system in recent years. Some transitioned from face-to-face instruction to online instruction. The aim of this study is to investigate the perceptions of both the instructors and the students as regards second language acquisition through online education at a rural university. The study was implemented in the context of teaching and learning English as a second language in an online education environment. The course material is based on The Net Languages Learning Platform, which is available at http：//ide.yok.gov.tr/, and the course level is general English pre-elementary. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were used in this study. For quantitative data collection, a questionnaire was employed to understand the reasons for low student attendance on online courses. For qualitative research method, observation was carried out, and interviews are designed as data collection techniques. Purposive selection was used for selection of the participants. The findings revealed that online education needs to be modified. The students are eager to improve their second language competencies; however, they do not want to waste their time on an easy course level.

Application of Case Teaching in Primary Mathematics Pedagogy Class in Normal University

Objective： Case Teaching Method used in Primary Mathematics Pedagogy course can highlight the characteristics of pedagogy course. This method can transform learning process from the passive one in the conventional classroom to an active one, so that classroom atmosphere will become active, inspiring students＇ interest in learning, and students would have the initiative to study. Meanwhile the Case Teaching Method also put forward higher requirements for teachers. An Analysis of the Impact of Language Learning Styles on Learning Strategy Preferences

This study is designed to explore the impact of LLS （Language Learning Styles） on learning strategy preferences through questionnaire and data analysis. The aim of the study is to make an through investigation of Chinese non-English majors＇ learning styles and their learning strategies in English study, and to analyze the impact of learning styles on learning strategy preferences statistically so as to provide empirical evidence in this field, and then present some implications for college English teaching and learning in Chinese context. This study has significance for pedagogy. Teachers should make language learners aware of their own learning styles and strategy preferences and help them select strategies matching their own style preferences in second language learning. It is hoped that this study can benefit language teachers, learners, and researchers to some extent and can spark more teaching research in the future.

Study Fields Optimalization within the Programme Applied Mathematics

The integration of the Czech Republic into the process of European space university education formation makes many demands on the higher education system--from creating new legislation and educational conception to changes in the study programme structure. With regard to the study programme structure, permeability and modular construction of the programme and the actual European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System （ECTS） implementation are some of requirements coming to the fore. The aim of this work is to present an analysis of bachelor study programme Applied Mathematics Structure at the University of Ostrava within the context of the above mentioned requirements.

DETERMINATION OF THERMODYNAMIC AND KINETIC PARAMETERS OF LARGE SCALE CHROMATOGRAPHIC SEPARATION OF SUGAR AND REDUCING SUGAR

The parameter identification model of largr scale chromatography separation process is proposed. The Phase equilibrium constants and lumped mass transfer coefficients of sugar and reducing sugar adsorption on D1, D2 and D3 resins as well as the axial dispersion coefficients of the fluid through packed columns are determined by means of the pulse-response experiment technique with an inert substance as a tracer and the chromatography measuring technique. The elution curve calculated from these parameters is good agreement with the experimental elution curve. The sensitivity analysis of these parameters is carried out, and the ressult shows that the elation curves of chromatography separation are more sensitive to the variations Of the Phase equilibrium relationship than to the variation of the axial dispersion as well as the lumped mass transfer coefficients.

Mathematical Model of Fiber Optic Temperature Sensor Based on Optic Absorption and Experiment Testing

On the basis of analysis on the temperature monitoring methods for high voltage devices, a new type of fiber optic sensor structure with reference channel is given. And the operation principle of fiber optic sensor is analysed at large based on the absorption of semiconductor chip. The mathematical model of both devices and the whole system are also given. It is proved by the experiment that this mathematical model is reliable.

The development history and enlightenment of the scientific data services of American university libraries

In the era of the big data. the national strategies and the rapid development of computers and storage technologies bring opportunities and challenges to the library＇s data services. Based on the investigation literature of the scientific data services in the university libraries in the United States, the development process of the scientific data is analyzed from three aspects of the service types, the service mode and the service contents. The author of this paper also proposes opportunities and challenges from 5 aspects of the policy support. strengthening the publicity, the self learning, the self positioning and relying on the embedded subject librarians, to promote the development of the library scientific data services.

Discussions on Class Construction of Ethnic Minority Class in Universities

This paper explores the specific reforms and connotations of ethnic minority college students＇ class construction by analyzing the current situation of college English teaching of ethnic minority class. Its aim is to enhance the college English teaching quality of ethnic minority class and make teaching quality get a new step in the field of college English teaching

Patterns and Technology -- A Creative Approach to Isometries

Today＇s math education basic syllabus gives an ever increasing emphasis to Geometry and Patterns. Curricula also advocate an approach that allows student to understand the concepts involved supported by dynamical computer tools. However, there is not much research work joining these paradigms. Therefore, a case study was developed, with 9th grade students （14-15 years old）, to evaluate the impact of a creative approach to isometries and symmetries-friezes, rosaceas （rosettes） and wallpapers-centered in patterns （reproduction, continuation, completion, description and creation） and using Geometer＇s Sketchpad software to solve, mainly in pairs, and discuss, with the whole class, the challenging tasks proposed, involving the formulation of hypothesis, argumentation and justification of the reasoning. The statistical analysis of the quantifiable data and content analysis of the qualitative data, collecting trough enquiry, direct observation and documental analysis （involving questionnaires, field notes, logbook, pre-tests and post-test, other works of the students including those computer related, and internal documents of the school） enable to conclude positively regarding the main research question underlying the study. In fact, it led to the conclusion that the teaching strategy implemented has contributed to deepen the student＇s knowledge and skills on geometry, mathematical communication and autonomy as well as to develop a closer relation with the field of geometry itself. This article focuses on one of the cases studied. The pair was selected due to be representative of most students and due to their communication skills.

The Relationship Between Mathematics Excellency and Efficiency of Accounting Students

Many organizations, educational institutes, and universities wish to identify efficient and high caliber applicants who could excel over the accounting discipline, while scholarships and admissions are still not offered. However, it is believed that undergraduate accounting students with majors in mathematics from pre-university institutes perform much better than those with arts or social sciences backgrounds. Therefore, this paper~ takes the mathematics perception level as well as pre-university＇s cumulative grade point averages （CGPAs） as the main indicators of efficiency and better performance of undergraduate accounting students. In order to test the hypotheses, a multiple regression analysis has been used. By choosing all undergraduate accounting candidates, who had been admitted for academic calendars of 2009-2010 in four different universities （one public, two semi-publics, and one private university） and testing their mathematics excellency, as well as extracting their CGPAs, the authors find that students＇ mathematical talents are high, and to a lower extent, the CGPAs will positively influence the performance in accounting courses.

College English Teachers＇ Perceived Difficulties in Teaching Content-Based Courses and Opportunities for Their Knowledge Growth

This paper explores three College English teachers＇ perceived difficulties in teaching content-based courses in the Chinese context and opportunities for their change in the knowledge base. Interviews and classroom observation were used to collect data. After coding and recoding of the audio data, the researcher found that College English teachers face the following difficulties： positioning of themselves, commitment to the course, students＇ expectation, the balance between language and content, and administrative support. Meanwhile, the experience of teaching content-based courses offered them an opportunity to increase their knowledge of the content, the learners, and educational values. Some implications for CBI （content-based instruction） in curriculum reform were put forward at the end of the paper.
