Control Effect of Sublimed Sulfur Paired with Acaricide on Bee Mites

[Objective] This study aimed to compare the effects of sublimed sulfur and acaricide on controlling bee mites.[Method] Three independent experiments were carried out in the same apiary during 2007-2009.[Results] The results showed that this method is effective in eliminating mites settled on combs or hidden during pupae phase,but not in controlling the mites parasitized on adult bees.The control effect on killing Varroa destructor after treated appeared optimal in the first day and then decreased,and that on killing Tvopilaelaps clareae happened in the second day.The results indicated that the effect would be much better if the bees can be treated 1 time to 2 times again in the following 2-5 days after the first treatment.Back to data pool,we found that the treatment of sublimed sulfur paired with acaricide is effective in controlling V.destructor and T.clareae.[Conclusion] This technique could facilitate the apicultural production in the regions suffered from V.destructor and T.clareae.

A Theoretical Explanation of Anomalous Atmospheric Circulation Associated with ENSO Modoki during Boreal Winter

Based on a linear model, the present study provides analytical solutions for ideal triple forcing sources similar to sea surface temperature anomaly （SSTA） pat- terns associated with El Nino-Southern Oscillation （ENSO） Modoki in winter. The ideal triple pattern is composed of an equatorially symmetric heat source in the middle and equatoriaUy asymmetric cold forcing in the southeast and northwest. The equatorially symmetric heat source excites low-level cyclonic circulation anomalies associated with Rossby waves in both hemispheres, while the northwest- ern and southeastern equatorially asymmetric cold sources induce low-level anomalous anticyclones associated with Rossby waves in the hemisphere where the forcing source is located. Low-level zonal winds converge toward the heat sources associated with Kelvin and Rossby waves. Due to unequal forcing intensity in the northwest and southeast, atmospheric responses around the equatorially symmetric forcing become asymmetric, and low-level cyclonic circulation anomalies in the Southern Hemisphere become greater than those in the Northern Hemisphere. Ascending （descending） flows coincide with heat （cold） sources, resulting in a double-cell structure over the regions of forcing sources. Ideal triple patterns similar to SSTA patterns associated with La Nina Modoki produce opposite atmospheric responses. The theoretical atmospheric responses are consistent with observed circulation anomalies associated with ENSO Modoki. Therefore, the theoretical solutions can explain the dynamics responsible for atmospheric circulation anomalies associated with ENSO Modoki events.

Future of Public Relations Curriculum： Searching for the Ideal Undergraduate Public Relations Curriculum

This study analyzes the public relations curricula of 44 American colleges that have a Public Relations （PR） Student Society of America （PRSSA） chapter. Through content analysis, this study examines general requirements, core public relations courses, requirements of public relations programs and strategic communication programs, and optional public relations courses offered by the colleges. The findings of this study reveal that very few public relations programs offer courses involving new media, crisis communication, and PR ethics. In order to keep in touch with the fast-changing public relations landscape, more PR programs should require and integrate new media, crisis communication and ethics courses.

Theoretical Model of the Tropospheric Pressure Variation on the Height

In the study and the research of the troposphere, the knowledge about its pressure variation on the height is necessary and important. Of course, exist the sounding to make this work, but not always it is possible to access to sounding data when is necessary, so then, it is important to has others alternatives methods in order to replace it. The troposphere is basically a fluid, susceptible to be studied under the fluid mechanics and thermodynamics of the ideals gases without loss generalities. So, it is possible to study of the atmospheric air like as a continuous perfect gas. These facts are important questions to study the troposphere under the laws and beginning Physics, using its respective equations, in order to get a theoretical model to simulate the behavior of its thermodynamics variables and parameters. Working on this line, it was developed a model in order to simulate the tropospheric pressure variation on the height from its measure on surface data.

Roberto Rossellini＇s Compassion as Social Evaluation

Emotions have long been considered by philosophers as a fundamental element to understand human thought and existence in general. This present study examines how Roberto Rossellini＇s early neorealist films, Rome, Open City （1945） and Paisan （1946）, utilize the emotion of compassion to examine the social and historical significance of women in the postwar Italy. Furthermore, it also focuses on the role of the female protagonists and the compassionate responses they suggest to clarify their position in society. In fact, by depicting the female protagonists as modest dissenter that attempt to perform traditional domestic roles, the director proposes a unique perspective on the conditions and social involvement of women in Italy during that time. Additionally, this study will propose interesting observations on the emotion of compassion itself, and its mechanisms that produce an image of idealized womanhood.

MAXIMUM PRINCIPLE FOR THE OPTIMAL CONTROL OF AN ABLATION-TRANSPIRATION COOLING SYSTEM

This paper is concerned with an optimal control problem of an ablationtranspiration cooling control system with Stefan-Signorini boundary condition. The existence of weak solution of the system is considered. The Dubovitskii and Milyutin approach is adopted in the investigation of the Pontryagin's maximum principle of the system. The optimality necessary condition is presented for the problem with fixed final horizon and phase constraints.

A Superior Way for the Transforming China： The Ultimate Ideal or a Feasible Solution？

The restoration of political radicalism in China can be attributed to a number of factors; similarly, the successful construction of a civil society to un- tangle the mess caused by the transformation does not rely on spontaneous fulfill- ment of the society itself, for it involves more factors than have been realized and discussed, such as the state （i.e., the government）, the ruling party, society, and the context of globalization. Without a comprehensive study on the cause of this problem, any prescriptive suggestion or discussion on how to go beyond radicalism is no more than an idealistic path for China＇s political reconstruction.
