从《管子》“女性”语义场中的词可分析《管子》中体现的先秦时期齐国妇女的社会地位。齐国“王霸天下”离不开妇女,她们参与诸多活动,在政治、经济、军事、家庭等领域发挥着积极作用。广泛参与社会活动使齐国妇女在当时具有较高社会地位,不仅高于同时代其他诸侯国妇女,也高于后来封建社会中的诸多妇女。

Gender in translation and feminist translation strategies

Translation has been regarded as the subordination and complementation of the original discourse in the long history of human society, and the loyalty of the wife to the husband has been the metaphor of the relationship between translated version and the original discourse. By using supplementing, prefacing, and hijacking, the feminist translation rewrites the original discourse creatively in order to overwhelming the authority of the original discourse even the male-governed society.

Clinical signification on the expressions of metallothionein in three types cancer of woman

Objective： To study the expressions and significations of metallothionein （MT） in cervical squamous cell cancer （CSC）, bladder transitional cell cancer （BTC） and breast cancer （BC） of woman. Methods： Immunohistochemical method was used to examine the expresses rate of MT in three types of woman cancer tissue. Results： The expressions rates of MT were 54.35% （29146） in BTC, 67.05% （59188） in BC and 57.14% （40/70） in CSC. The positive rate of MT expression was higher in low differentiation group than well differentiation group in BTC and CSC （P 〈 0.05）. Positive of MT in lobular cancer was significance higher than medullary and duct cancers （P 〈 0.05）. Conclusion： The expression of MT is related to differentiation degree, and it is a guidance for clinical choice of chemotherapy project.

In Winesburg, Ohio, Sherwood Anderson vividly presented a group of lonely people, deformed in spirit and depressed in life, and longing for love but lack of communication. Such ＂grotesques＂ became considerable images in the research of American literature history. Their life reveals the social role that women play and the change of the man-woman relationship in the United States when it was in its transition to industrialism at the beginning of the 20th century. From the perspective of feminism, this paper conducts a systematical analysis on the social life, social role and family role of the female ＂grotesques＂, and tentatively talks about man-woman relationship.

From the Perspective of Conceptual Metaphor -Analyzing the Heroine＇ s Resistance in The Scarlet Letter

Conceptual metaphor has always been the study focus of cognitive linguistics. Conceptual metaphor is ubiquitous, cognitive and systematic. Nathaniel Hawthorne in his representative work The Scarlet Letter makes full use of the conceptual metaphor. A detailed description of the heroine Hester Prynne through the conceptual metaphor fully expresses Nathaniel Hawthorne＇ s feminist thoughts. Through the metaphorical analyses of the name Pearl, the scarlet letter ＂A＂, the forest and the scaffold this paper analyzes Hester Prynne＇ s resistant consciousness. On the basis of this, the positive social significance of the novel is explored.

The Holy Bitch That Can Be a Witch in The Grass Harp

This paper comprises an analysis of the modernist American writer Truman Capote＇s novel The Grass Harp （1951） from a feminist perspective. While the novel treats the ostracizing of four people by the oppressive mindset of a patriarchal society, the female character Dolly Talbo who leads the banished group to live in a tree house becomes the embodiment of a Goddess image introduced by the New Age Spiritualities and Neopaganism. Creating a new culture for women as an alternative to the patriarchal system, in which concepts such as love, herbalism, and magic are sanctioned as sacred, and offering this culture as an opportunity to all human beings, Dolly Talbo can be perceived as a contemporary holy witch who becomes an occult and undermining threat to the patriarchal order.

The Feminist Thoughts of Moll Flanders in Moll Flanders

Moll Flanders is one of Daniel Defoe＇s masterpieces. The protagonist--Moll Flanders is a female character from lower class that Daniel Defoe first depicted in his novel. The image of Moll Flanders has attracted the attention of many critics since it was created. Critics viewed her as a ＂whore＂, because she had been married for five times in the comparatively conservative society. This paper attempts to analyze the feminist thoughts of the protagonist--Moll Flanders and makes an exploration upon Moll Flanders＇ fate from the perspective of feminism so as to encourage females to pursue whatever they want in order to acquire equal rights with men.

On Maggie＇s Feminist Thoughts in The Mill on the Floss

George Eliot（1819-1880）, is one of the most highly praised novelists in the literary world in the 19th century because of her unique position in English literature. She wrote a large quantity of works of the highest merit and of far-reaching influence. Her attitude towards feminism has aroused wide attention and has been discussed hotly among feminist critics in different countries. The Mill on the Floss, which first appeared in1860, is regarded as the most excellent autobiographical novel of Eliot. The ideology of male power in the patriarchal society during the Victorian Era is internalized in people＇s heart, which brings huge influence on Maggie＇s female mental state. This paper aims to discuss the causes of Maggie＇s feminist thoughts and manifestation of her feminism, thus, the influence upon women in her times. The paper concludes that Eliot was a great female author full of pioneering feminist thought from the example given by Maggie in The Mill on the Floss.

A Feminist Analysis of Alexandra in O Pioneers

Willa Cather was the first woman frontier writer in American literary history who devoted herself to the portrayal of frontier life of pioneers in the Middle West America. She has successfully created a series of moving women images. Most of Cather＇s female images are strong-minded and independent, attempting to take the fate into their own hands. In a sense, she can be regarded as a precursor of modern feminism. 0 Pioneers is the first mature book of Willa Cather, with the heroic protagonist, Alexandra, the representative of such women characters. The present paper aims to analyze the feminist thoughts of Alexandra from the perspectives of her Revolt against ＂Woman Myth＂, her struggle against patriarchal society, and her longing for a real equality between men and women.

Feminism in Theistic Humanism： The Question of Gender Discourse in African Philosophy

An inquiry into the ontology of critical gender consciousness in Africa Philosophy is long overdue. Hitherto discourses on gender problems lost focus because of the tendency to leave out the gaps in culture created by colonial experience, modernity＇s assaults and unAfricaness in ontology and essence. It is argued here that the fulcrum for a legitimate feminist doctrine is Theistic Humanism, the philosophy of African philosophy that exposes the epistemological and metaphysical basis of the rightful and ethical place of women in the society without injury, injustice and abuse on womanhood. Theistic Humanism as an ontology and cosmology abhors class struggle among husbands, wives, sons, daughters, etc.. Class struggle between men and women degenerated from the oneness of being ontology and Gender community where husbands and wives were happily married with different complementary social roles for the preservation of society.

Adichie＇s Purple Hibiscus and the Issue of Feminism in African Novel

Adichie＇s Purple Hibiscus is a feminist work that challenges the dehumanizing tendencies of the menfolk as evident in the character of Mama （Beatrice Achike） who eventually exposed the African conception of an ideal woman who keeps dumb even in the face of humiliation, victimization, and brutality so as to be perceived as a good woman. We will make a resounding case to portray that Achike belongs to the category of liberal feminism. However, as events unfolds, she was forced by situations beyond her control to respond and go radical in order to crush anything that stands in her way to happiness. Efforts will be made to show how African women are rated based on the real and good women as represented by Ifeoma and Beatrice Achike respectively. This essay in exploring the different tenets of feminism will acknowledge that radical feminism is an off shoot of violence. We shall argue that radical feminism is a radical reaction to dehumanization, humiliation, and violence. This study seeks to address the issue of feminism and how characters subject to series of humiliation that leads to a radical approach to gain their freedom.

A Feminist Analysis of Mr. and Mrs. Dove by Katherine Mansfield

Katherine Mansfield （1888-1923）, a New Zealand＇s celebrated short story writer, was famous for her exquisite portrayals of women and she made great contribution to the British short story as well. Greatly influenced by Anton Chekhov, her writing fmnly fixed on the small details of human behavior. She created her best works in the early 1920s, and her book, The Garden Party, arrived at the peak of great achievement. Set in England, her short story, Mr. and Mrs. Dove, described a story about the man＇s last day in England and a series of things that happened to his visit to his beloved woman＇s home which presented the relationships between his mom and him, and his beloved woman and him. This paper mainly explores the feminist thoughts of the female characters. The paper concludes that the awakening awareness of women in this story was obviously from the perspectives of striking against the patriarchal system and Mansfield was actually a feminist pioneer who promoted the development of feminism in the whole world.

The book impresses the reader with Showalter＇s groundwork to revive the interest in long-forgotten women writers in British literature history. Showalter＇s work is indeed a kind of rediscovery, mapping widely rather than mining deeply the territory of women＇s writing. In a sense, feminist criticism came of age with this book.

A Feminist Study of Rochester in Jane Eyre

This paper aims to scrutinize the roles of Rochester through the feminist perspective. Revolving around the course of Rochester＇s psychological development by the way of conformity-disorientation-rebellion, this thesis consists of three parts. Part one focuses on the analysis of Rochester＇s compliance with the patriarchal norms, acting as a defender for the patriarchy to impose great oppression on women. Part two delves into Rochester＇s psychological fluctuation around disorientation, perplexity, and struggle when he is frustrated with the unhappy marriage. Part three is devoted to the elaboration on Rochester＇s resolute revolt against the unconscionable patriarchal norms in the pursuit of his happiness. As a member of the patriarchal dominators, Rochester＇s resolute rebellion against patriarchal rules further reveals and strongly criticizes the unreasonable, unequal, and inhuman nature of the patriarchy

A Feminist Analysis of Protagonists＇ Self-development in O Pioneers： and My Antonia

This paper focuses on pioneer women＇s development of the self from the perspective of feminism in 0 Pioneerst. （1913） and My A ntonia （1994）. As rigid social connections and concepts restrict women＇s autonomy and freedom, they must transform themselves and the world in order to survive. In order to analyze pioneer women＇s process of self-growth in the special period, the author of this paper compares and contrasts the specific situation, and analyzes the characteristics of the protagonists in the above two novels. Through analysis, the authuor concludes that pioneer women always create a nurturing and gracious atmosphere in their household. Practically, these women successfully transmit the old civilization to the newly established homestead.

＂A Perfect Heroine in Foreign Travel.＂ Female Mobile Identities and Southern Italy in the 19th Century Non-feminist Periodical Press

This essay focuses on the interaction between the publication of female travel writing about the South of Italy in non-feminist 19th century British periodicals, and the circulation of a transgressive model of femininity centred on the concepts of mobility, vitality and visibility. The choice of Southern Italy, an anti-tourist destination that since the era of the Grand Tour had been considered dangerous for men, let alone for women, magnifies female heroic attitudes and contaminates female conventional domestic purity enhancing the concept of an unfixed female identity. The publication of a travelogue, a mostly non-fictional genre, on an innovative and reactive medium, was a manifest act of transgression with respect to fixed social order, which gave visibility and credibility to a different model of femininity, an anti-Angel icon. A new form of narration displays adventurous women able to cross the private sphere and to write/publish authentic accounts of their transitional experience in a public, male-dominated sphere.

The Destroyed or the Destroyer？ The Characterization of Mrs. Morel in Sons and Lovers

This paper looks into David Herbert Lawrence＇s characterization of Mrs. Morel in his famous novel Sons and Lovers （1962）. Mrs. Morel has long been regarded by feminist critics as the destroyed, a victim destroyed by the male-dominated society, and her son Paul has been viewed as a destroyer of women. Based on a close reading of the novel, this paper examines Lawrence＇s characterization of Mrs. Morel and reveals that Mrs Morel actually belongs to the destroyer instead of the destroyed through an analysis of her relationship with the three male characters in the novel, thus providing new insights into the understanding of this classic novel.

Seeing Rape as Rape： Philosophical and Historical Perspectives on Marriage Law

In this paper, I critically challenge the ability of legal reforms to recognize and integrate the way in which a rape victim sees rape. Current limitations to the law are mainly due to the accepted patriarchal view on law as a form of objective and rational knowledge, outside which there are only impracticable and irrational views. I investigate the case of marriage jurisprudence in the UK, as a prominent example, because it has long accepted marital rape as objectively and rationally part of a wife＇s duty. Even though changes have occurred which improve the marital rape jurisdiction and prejudicial disbelief concerning a woman＇s private life is still used in the courts to question the credibility of the victim. Over the past year, extensive efforts have been made to reform the management of rape cases. Whilst there is a need to acknowledge the seriousness of the accusation with rigorous legal principles which provide appropriate safeguards for the accused person as well as the complainant, especially bearing in mind the often ＂private＂ circumstances, with a concomitant lack of witnesses, it remains the case that the rate of attribution in attempts to secure successful prosecutions in rape case remains overwhelming. I show how a Wittgensteinian approach to law would take into consideration the shape ofgendered lives as they are experienced, and hence would not accept just one legal interpretation of marital law. The phenomenon of＂seeing-as＂ in Wittgenstein＇s philosophy can support the experience of being jolted into appreciating the feminist aspect of consent in marital sexual relationships.

Although Edward Snowdon found sanctuary in Russia from America, so perhaps Zizek is right.

How Much Digital Activism Plays a Role in Political Activism： A Case Study of Morocco＇s February 20th Movement

The present paper seeks to investigate the extent to which digital activism plays a role in political activism in Morocco through the intersection between women and young activists movement and the social media. By doing so the author argues that while facebook and the Moroccan political arena are Male dominated public areas, young female activists have emerged as prominent leaders in both spaces. The author will more particularly explain why female and youth activists are important in the current state of Moroccan politics. Next, the author provides a discussion of the February 20th Movement, and the movement＇s utilization of Facebook. It will show that young female activists involved in the February 20th Movement have used Facebook in unique and creative ways to further the Movement.
