随着STEAM理念的不断深入,一线教师结合学校特色自主开发STEAM课程(项目)逐渐成为常态。其中存在以下问题:一方面,部分学校项目开发得偏多、偏杂,探究活动流于形式;另一方面,STEAM项目局限于校内,课外受诸多因素的限制。本文结合学校实际,将“学习资源区”作为学校STEAM课程实践和开发的阵地与切入口,通过资源区的建立与系列实践活动,一方面提升教师的教学理念,另一方面让更多的学生参与项目学习,从而进一步提升学生的素养。

Ontology and metadata for online learning resource repository management based on semantic web

An ontology and metadata for online learning resource repository management is constructed. First, based on the analysis of the use-case diagram, the upper ontology is illustrated which includes resource library ontology and user ontology, and evaluated from its function and implementation; then the corresponding class diagram, resource description framework （RDF） schema and extensible markup language （XML） schema are given. Secondly, the metadata for online learning resource repository management is proposed based on the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative and the IEEE Learning Technologies Standards Committee Learning Object Metadata Working Group. Finally, the inference instance is shown, which proves the validity of ontology and metadata in online learning resource repository management.

Positive effects of native language in the foreign language learning and teaching

Native language has been rejected for a long time in the foreign language class, which results from a misunderstanding to native language transfer by most teachers. Actually, it is an effective learning strategy to complete the communication task under the help of native language, which should be acknowledged. Using native language to explain specific words or grammar rules can take advantage of the limited class-time efficiently and increase the class efficiency; using native language to discuss teaching method and solve the problems for the students can promote their enthusiasm. In these specific teaching processes, native language is an important teaching resource. Instances identify that native language has positive effects in the foreign language learning and teaching and it should have its own standpoint.

Adjustment to affective factors in English learning by using Internet English Curriculum Resource

The new curriculum standard points out that affection is one of the most important goals of fundamental education. The non-target language environment is easier to cause the affective change of middle school students who are changeable in their affective state. Based on the affective filter hypothesis, this paper deals with the adjustment to affective factors in English learning by using Internet English Curriculum Resource, such as attitude and motivation, anxiety and inhibition, self-esteem and self-confidence. At last, some suggestions are offered to judge Internet English Curriculum Resource.

Learning trendiness from twitter to web： a comparative analysis of microblog and web trending topics

The development of microblog services has a considerable etfect on the patterns oI wed access and Internet resources discovery. Understanding the interrelation between information diffusion in online social media and user web interests can help the web ecosystem stakeholders in developing new services and designing efficient systems with optimized resources. This paper explores whether or not one can infer the trends of topics in the web by observing the Twitter microcosm. Using data- sets collected from Twitter and two representative web services （Google and Alexa）, this work con- ducts a comparative analysis between trending patterns of topics in Twitter and in the web by consid- ering both the temporal and spatial perspectives, and finds that individual topics in Twitter and in the web share similar trending patterns both from the temporal and spatial aspects. Nevertheless, the tren- diness in Twitter can precede for a few hours and is highly unstable compared to the one in web. The application of these findings is also discussed on ad keywords planning in Search Engine Marketing.

A Study of the Main Obstacles to the Development of Advanced Lexical Competence

The present study is to explore the main obstacles to the development of lexical competence in advanced English study. It is conducted by having questionnaires and interviews among 220 students and by analyzing the teaching materials. The findings to the study indicate that the main obstacles are caused from the following aspects： neglecting the importance of developing vocabulary in the advanced study; neglecting activating the students＇ directing sense and detecting sense to difficult words; low rate of word recurrence in the teaching materials; requiring distinguishing the shade of the difference between synonyms excessively and too meticulously; overemphasizing the ＂negative transfer＂ of mother tongue; and some other obstacles to the development of lexical competence.

An Assessment of the Role of Art as a Resource for Learning and Development of the Child With Computer Applications

An assessment of the role of Art as a resource for learning and development of the child has become necessary now that education appears to be the yearning of all especially in the developing countries. This paper seeks to assess the role of Art in learning and development of a child. The paper stresses that the child needs Art to learn because children＇s attention is drawn first by pictures （Art works） before letters of Alphabet. According to the paper, children become more knowledgeable and creative as they participate in Art classes where they are given opportunities to express themselves while engaging in drawing and painting exercises. This leads to self-discovery and development in children. By this, entrepreneurial spirit is also imbibed. The paper also notes that children who would not ordinarily want to learn have found pleasure in learning with Art and computer. Here the use of cartoons and animations become appropriate in teaching the child. Children also become more adventurous and creative as they find pleasure in drawing with application software like Corel Draw, Microsoft Paint, and so on. Finally, the paper emphasizes the need for Art to be wholly infused in the curricular of schools especially the primaries. This will be a strong factor or agent of development in children. Here the creative and inventive spirit so developed and imbibed will lead to discoveries of future entrepreneurs, industrialists and technologists for national developments.

BOLIN： Linguistic and Literary Journal

This article proposes a pedagogical strategy to develop proficiency in writing and comprehension in native and foreign languages. It is a pilot project which intends to explore, develop, build, collect, select, analyze, and prepare an action plan for that purpose. The strategy is being used at a Federal Institute in Brazil--IF Sudeste MG, Rio Pomba campus. The subjects involved in this process of investigation are students of two classes who attend their first year at High School integrated to technical courses. The methodology involves the use of a school journal as a teaching and learning resource to encourage literary reading and the production of different genres. The goal is to establish an interaction between the reading and writing mediated by a young and playful context offering an additional instrument for instruction, aimed at the use and reflection of the language.

Response of Slovene Informatics Teachers to the EUCIP On-line Course

In the paper, the authors present their experience and results related to the design and management of the on-line course ＂Development of e-learning resources based on the EUCIP （The European Certification of Informatics Professionals） certification scheme＂, which was organized under the auspices of the international Leonardo da Vinci project Sloop2desc （Sharing learning objects in an open perspective for development of European skills and competences）. The course was primarily aimed at teachers of informatics. Out of 64 participants that applied for the course, slightly less than 50% managed to reach the last course module. In line with other research, the authors＇ experience showed that in order to minimize participants＇ drop-out rate, a sustained communication flow between tutors and participants was necessary and specific assignments had to be provided by the tutors, along with guidance. The authors expect the participants who successfully finished the on-line course to become a some kind of ambassadors for the introduction of the EUCIP scheme in Slovenia.

An autonomic joint radio resource management algorithm in end-to-end reconfigurable system

This paper presents the multi-step Q-learning(MQL)algorithm as an autonomic approach to thejoint radio resource management(JRRM)among heterogeneous radio access technologies(RATs)in theB3G environment.Through the'trial-and-error'on-line learning process,the JRRM controller can con-verge to the optimized admission control policy.The JRRM controller learns to give the best allocation foreach session in terms of both the access RAT and the service bandwidth.Simulation results show that theproposed algorithm realizes the autonomy of JRRM and achieves well trade-off between the spectrum utilityand the blocking probability comparing to the load-balancing algorithm and the utility-maximizing algo-rithm.Besides,the proposed algorithm has better online performances and convergence speed than theone-step Q-learning(QL)algorithm.Therefore,the user statisfaction degree could be improved also.

The Construction of Applied Writing Training Network System

This document explains and demonstrates how to construct the applied writing training in network system. This system which is used in network consists of four modules, including task module, structure training module, text training module and study evaluation module. With the advantages of instantaneity, interactivity, authenticity and adequation of learning resources, the applied writing abilities of the students can be improved effectively by using the network system. And the problems during the process of applied writing teaching, for example, the teaching contents lose contract with social life, the textbook contents are lack of innovation, and writing training goes against cognizing system, can be solved effectively.

A Novel Deep Learning Method for Application Identification in Wireless Network

In modern wireless communication network, the increased consumer demands for multi-type applications and high quality services have become a prominent trend, and put considerable pressure on the wireless network. In that case, the Quality of Experience(Qo E) has received much attention and has become a key performance measurement for the application and service. In order to meet the users' expectations, the management of the resource is crucial in wireless network, especially the Qo E based resource allocation. One of the effective way for resource allocation management is accurate application identification. In this paper, we propose a novel deep learning based method for application identification. We first analyse the requirement of managing Qo E for wireless communication, and review the limitation of the traditional identification methods. After that, a deep learning based method is proposed for automatically extracting the features and identifying the type of application. The proposed method is evaluated by using the practical wireless traffic data, and the experiments verify the effectiveness of our method.

By analyzing the status quo of TVU learning support system, we raise problems such as current quality of personnel, teaching resources, part-time teacher management, teaching facilities, campus culture and other issues.

From Importation to Innovation: The Perspective of Organizational Inertia's Effects

Based on an explorative embedded single-case study, this paper analyzes its import-based innovation process, identifies characteristics of manifestation of organizational inertia＇s effects, and reveals organizational learning＇s effects on firms＂ organizational inertia. The case selected is the successful practice about typical technology import of internal combustion locomotive, electric locomotive, and diesel engine, owned by Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Ltd Company of CRRC. Based on analysis, it can be found that firms＇organizational inertia exhibits primarily negative effects, positive effects and a combination of positive and negative effects in different stages of imitative, improved and indigenous innovation respectively. Further analysis of typical events shows that explorative learning mitigates organizational inertia＇s negative effects, while exploitative learning enhances its positive effects. From the angle of organizational inertia＇s effects, this paper deepens understanding on the mechanism of transition from technology importation to indigenous innovation, and provides inspirations for late-coming firms to break the vieious cycle where technology importation leads to more backwardness..

The study of the influence of network resources on English Teaching under the background of informatization

As an international language, English plays an extremely important role, and it has become the lingua franca of the world. For a long time, inefficiency exists in teaching or learning. Under the learning environment surrounded by native speakers, English, as a symbolic system, appears dull, or even because there is no information given appropriate experience and it becomes abstract. Many students are reluctant to learn after learning for a time, because it is difficult for reality, and it is not easy to consolidate, that 45 minutes of English learning environment also appears to be a little frustrated, as many students who have been admitted to the University said during the learning process of the entire university, they spent seventy percent of their energy to foreign language learning rather than their own major. This not only illustrates the importance of English teaching but also shows its difficult nature, the main reason is our bad English language teaching environment, there is a lack of communication in English language environment, however, the network information and the development of modern multimedia technology has greatly improve the English teaching environment. How to use the Internet information and multimedia technologies to create English learning environment, to optimize English teaching methods and to improve the quality of English teaching.

Take Advantage of Multimedia for Medical English Teaching

This paper is my humble opinion on why multimedia should be integrated into the teaching of English for medical purpose （EMP） and how we can make the best use of IT （information technology） in EMP teaching. By combining large amount of medical resources with the content of textbook, computerize teaching material can be produced In which, graphics, pictures as well as animations and flashes are used to present ideas, demonstrate ＂hard-to-understand＂ concepts, and more, links provided to explore current data on the web concerning given medical knowledge. It is shown here the multimedia environment provides us a new and desirable approach to enhance the delivery and interactivity of medical linguistic course.

The openness of cultural industries： what can China learn from other countries

This study aims to raise policy suggestions to China＇ s openness in cultural industries by doing cross-country comparison. Due to the dual attributes of cultural industries, the openness of cultural industries has demonstrated special features globally. To promote the development of China＇ s cultural industries, the effort should be paid to transfer culture resources into cultural products, to distinguish the responsibility of government and market, to integrate the value chain, to diversify revenue sources and to foster open environment.
