The total of 1,544 articles and their top 20 countries, research institutes, core authors, key journals and research fields for the literature types, the number of annual articles was retrieved globally. Analyses of status and trends of CSR researches in the world based on bibliometrics were performed for providing information to CSR researchers and decision makers.展开更多

Scientific analyses, as well as everyday observation, suggest that there are increases in the tension between work and personal life, which results in imbalance and perceiving both the spheres as mutually contradictory, as well as having adverse consequences for workers and their families, organisations, the society, and economics. As regards this occurrence, the aim of the article is to show selected civilizational trends which generate the issues with maintaining work--personal life balance of contemporary humans. The article is of theoretical character and is based on the method of critical literature analysis, as well as on the analysis of formal-legal documents, reports, and statistical sources. The theoretical-case analyses let one formulate a conclusion that the transformation one undergone in the sphere of professional work often bears adverse consequences for the sphere of workers' personal lives and this should be a significant scientific research field.展开更多

Writers use translation to prepare themselves for their own work, or to seek distraction or alternative voices in the works of the writers they admire. This paper attempts to nxake an interdisciplinary study of the relationship between translation and imitation by performing a case study of Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion and Lin Yu-tang's Confucius Saw Nancy, both translated by the writer Lin Yu-tang. The article argues that by reading and translating works in other languages, a writer can not only enrich his own writing but also use another language and literary system to examine his own work.展开更多

The main indices include the number and proportion of international manuscripts, published articles, downloads, impact factors, total cites, cited journals, citing journals, and highly cited papers. Up to 2015, the JGS had received manuscripts from authors in 80 countries and published papers from authors in 32 countries. The citation indices of JGS show increasing trends in the last seven years. The impact factor of the JGS increased from 0.518 in 2009 to 1.923 in 2015. Total cites increased from 157 in 2009 to 1276 in 2015. The international full-text downloads of the JGS increased year by year, and the number of downloads in 2015 was about three times that of 2009. The published papers were considered to be influential. The results of this study provide scientific guidance for the development of the Journal of Geographical Sciences and can be used to improve the quality of other Chinese geographical journals.展开更多
