Analysis of the Critical Aspects of the Generational Turnover in Family Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises （SMEs）

Family businesses, which aim at surviving today, have to deal with a precise modality： To ensure their continuity, entrepreneurs have to ensure the transfer of leadership from one generation to another inside of them. We do believe that this matter is worth being analyzed, since the succession, from one generation to another, can be considered as a crucial variable in maintaining family small- and medium-sized enterprises （SMEs） over time. Therefore, after investigating the main features, problems, and factors leading to the succession processes, in the second part of this article, an empirical analysis will be carried out, by comparing several European countries on the basis of data from the European Commission. This article contributes to enriching, from a theoretical point of view, the conceptual framework used for investigating the dynamics in the continuity of SMEs. Moreover, empirically, it contributes to the increasing literature on family businesses by comparing several European countries in order to understand what originates the longevity of family SMEs.

The Experimental Study on the Risk Convergence of the Entrusted Portfolios of NSSF

This paper makes use of statistical tools of parameter correlation, multi-parameter regression, and does experimental analysis on issues of risk diversification of portfolios entrusted by National Social Security Fund (NSSF). The issues are industry related investment fields distribution, the trend of capitalization movement, and investment style factors in stock selection. The results show that there are risk problems with portfolios entrusted by NSSF, which include similar investment fields distribution trend, little difference among portfolios, and high risk preference degree.

Investigation on Grid Connections of Wind Power and PV Power in China

In order to fully comprehend the developing status of wind power and photovoltaic (PV) power generation, a special investigation on the integration of wind power and PV power was launched by the agencies of the State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC) throughout China during July-October 2010. This report is completed based on the investigation along with routine supervisory and management programs. There are totally 573 wind power projects and 94 PV power projects involved. Existing problems in these projects are pointed out and proposals for regulation are put forward.

Analysing Different Microgeneration Systems for Portuguese Residential Sector

The main purpose of this article is to perform a technical-economic analysis of different microgeneration systems （photovoltaic and wind turbine systems） that can be installed in a single-family house. One of the strategies for improving energy performance of buildings is the installation of microgeneration systems. This will enable Portugal to meet the goal regarding the share of renewable sources on gross final energy consumption imposed by the European Commission climate change and energy package for 2020. The analysis of four different micro-generation systems will take into account the local availability of renewable resources and market technologies and the new Portuguese law concerning microgeneration to promote renewable energy sources in households. The Portuguese microgeneration legal framework is also highlighted.

Use of Chemical Admixtures to Modify the Rheological Behavior of Cementitious Systems Containing Manufactured Aggregates

The use of local materials is an important part of sustainability for the concrete industry. The declining availability of aggregate resources in many areas has the potential to result in the use of alternative aggregates of lower quality, which can require higher cementitious materials contents, or the use of aggregates shipped from greater distance. In some markets, manufactured sands are replacing natural sands, which can adversely impact the rheology of cementitious mixtures. The use of certain chemical admixtures has been found to often minimize the need to increase cement and water contents in order to overcome the loss of workability that can accompany aggregate sources which feature flat, elongated, angular, and rough particles. In this study, a wide range of natural and manufactured sands were characterized for gradation, mineralogy, shape, texture, and cleanliness, and also evaluated for their effect on mortar rheology with and without a VMA （viscosity modifying agent） type chemical admixture. Use of the VMA is shown to mitigate the rheological effect of certain sands, and in some cases can allow for optimizing the mixture to lower paste contents. In the case of PCP （polycarboxylate）-based superplasticizers, attention is drawn to the increased dose required to achieve target workability versus superplasticizers based on NSFC （naphthalene sulfonate condensate） when swellable clays are present in the very fine fraction of certain aggregate sources. The use of sands with higher fines contents are also shown to increase the workability provided the fines are of appropriate quality.

Stability of planar diffusion wave for nonlinear evolution equation Dedicated to the NSFC-CNRS Chinese-French summer institute on fluid mechanics in 2010

It is known that the one-dimensional nonlinear heat equation ut ： f（u）x1x1, f＇（u） 〉 0, u（±∞, t） ： u, u＋ ≠ u- has a unique self-similar solution u（x1/√1＋t）. In multi-dimensional space, （x1/√1＋t） is called a planar diffusion wave. In the first part of the present paper, it is shown that under some smallness conditions, such a planar diffusion wave is nonlinearly stable for the nonlinear heat equation： ut -△f（u） = 0, x ∈ R^n. The optimal time decay rate is obtained. In the second part of this paper, it is further shown that this planar diffusion wave is still nonlinearly stable for the quasilinear wave equation with damping： utt ＋ ut - △f（u） = 0, x ∈ R^n. The time decay rate is also obtained. The proofs are given by an elementary energy method.

This paper is dedicated to the study of viscous compressible barotropic fluids in dimension N ≥ 2. We address the question of well-posedness for large data having critical Besov regularity. Our result improves N the analysis of Danchin and of the author inasmuch as we may take initial density in BN/p p,1 with 1 ≤ p 〈 ＋∞. Our result relies on a new a priori estimate for the velocity, where we introduce a new unknown called effective velocity to weaken one of the couplings between the density and the velocity. In particular, our result is the first in which we obtain uniqueness without imposing hypothesis on the gradient of the density.

A proposed direct measurement of cross section at Gamow window for key reaction 19F(p,α) 16O in Asymptotic Giant Branch stars with a planned accelerator in CJPL

In 2014, the National Natural Science Foundation of China （NSFC） approved the Jinping Underground Nuclear Astrophysics laboratory （JUNA） project, which aims at direct cross-section measurements of four key stellar nuclear reactions right down to the Gamow windows. In order to solve the observed fluorine overabundances in Asymptotic Giant Branch （AGB） stars, measuring the key 19F（p,a）16O reaction at effective burning energies （i.e., at Gamow window） is established as one of the scientific research sub-projects. The present paper describes this sub-project in details, including motivation, status, experimental setup, yield and background estimation, aboveground test, as well as other relevant reactions.

We present the formal derivation of a new unidirectional model for unsteady mixed flows in nonuniform closed water pipes. In the case of free surface incompressible flows, the FS-model is formally obtained, using formal asymptotic analysis, which is an extension to more classical shallow water models. In the same way, when the pipe is full, we propose the P-model, which describes the evolution of a compressible inviscid flow, close to gas dynamics equations in a nozzle. In order to cope with the transition between a free surface state and a pressured （i.e., compressible） state, we propose a mixed model, the PFS-model, taking into account changes of section and slope variation.

Reflection on internationalization of Chinese surgery journals

Chinese surgery journals are of small international impact which does not measure up to the state of development of surgery in China and they can not adequately publish Chinese researches to the world. To improve the visibility of Chinese surgery journals, this article suggests developing more English surgery journals, extending a co-operation with famous publishers, employing overseas experts as editorial committee and making more use of the Internet.
