Fault tolerance with active replication and load balancing techniques are used. The pros and cons of both techniques are analyzed, and a novel load balancing framework for fault tolerant systems with active replication is presented. Hierarchical architecture is described in detail. The framework can dynamically adjust fault tolerant groups and their memberships with respect to system loads. And by using FFT spectral analysis periodicity and causation of its harmonic constants were analyzed. Alter astronomic tide signal was eliminated, residual water level was decomposed by using FFT spectral analysis, and then we got the periodic variation of mean residual water level over the past 50 years and discussed mean sea level changing trends of Tianjin offshore. The results show that variety of amplitude of M2 tidal constituent reveals 20 years, 4-6 years, 2-3-year periods, and it was obviously influenced by engineering construction since reform and opening age. Residual water level fluctuations reveal 20 years, 5-6 years, 2-3 years and 1 year periods. Sea level of Tianjin offshore displays a progressive ascending trend with rate about 3.4mm/a, which was influenced mainly by sea level rise and land subsidence.展开更多

Firstly, a rotating modulation technology is presented for SINS. The method provides the enhanced property of SINS when using the same-leveled inertial measurement units. Then, the rotating struc- ture modification is derived and augmented to resolve the un-modulated error-accumulated problem. As the insuf- ficient machine processing, the horizontal and the vertical errors on the machine surface are inevitable, and the in- volved coordinates are difficult to get the exact coincident. So, two major kinds of coordinate situation are stud- ied. The equivalent error models on gyro and acceleration outputs are built for each situation, and the impact is analyzed for compensation. The part of attitude and position error models caused by the built angle-rate error is established to calculate the un-eoincident impact. Considering these conditions of different gyro accuracy and mo- tion states simultaneously, numerical simulations are implemented. Results indicate that the SINS modulation ac- curacy is seriously affected by the combined factors on gyro accuracy and motion conditions.展开更多

This paper proposes a service-aware scheduling algorithm, in which the Mean Opinion Score (MOS) is chosen as the unified metric of the Quality of Experience (QoE). As the network needs to provide satisfactory services to all the users, the fairness of QoE should be considered. The Propor- tional Fair (PF) principle is adopted to achieve the trade-off between the network perfonmnce and us- er fairness. Then, an integer progranming problem is formed and the QoE-aware PF scheduling princi-ple is derived by solving the relaxed problem. Simu-lation results show that the proposed scheduling principle can perform better in terms of user fair-ness than the previous principle maximizing the sum of MOS. The damping ratios of bridges in service have generally been identified using operational modal analysis (OMA) based on a stationary white noise assumption for input signals. However, most bridges are generally subjected to nonstationary excitations while in service, and this violation of the basic assumption can lead to uncertainties in damping identification. To deal with nonstationarity, an amplitude-modulating function was calculated from measured responses to eliminate global trends caused by nonstationary input. A natural excitation technique (NExT)-eigensystem realization algorithm (ERA) was applied to estimate the damping ratio for a stationarized process. To improve the accuracy of OMA-based damping estimates, a comparative analysis was performed between an extracted stationary process and nonstationary data to assess the effect of eliminating nonstationarity. The mean value and standard deviation of the damping ratio for the first vertical mode decreased after signal stationarization.展开更多

IntraceUular ATP levels are generally in the low millimolar range, but ATP at a level within this range was shown to inhibit proteasome peptidase activities in vitro. Here, we report new evidence that supports a hypothesis that intracellular ATP at the physiological levels bidirectionally regulates 26S proteasome proteolytic function in the cell. First, we confirmed that ATP exerted bidirectional regulation on the 26S proteasome in vitro, with the optimal ATP concentration (between 50 and 100μM) stimulating proteasome chymotrypsin-like activities. Second, we found that manipulating intracellular ATP levels also led to bidirectional changes in the levels of proteasome-specific protein substrates in cultured cells. Finally, measures to increase intracellular ATP enhanced, while decreasing intraceHular ATP attenuated the ability of proteasome inhibition to induce cell death. These data strongly suggest that endogenous ATP within the physiological concentration range can exert a negative impact on proteasome activities, allowing the cell to rapidly upregulate proteasome activity on ATP reduction under stress conditions.展开更多

However, advanced age results in numerous alterations to cellular and subcellular components that can impact the overall health and function of an individual. Not surprisingly, advanced age is a major risk factor for the development of heart disease in which elderly populations observe increased morbidity and mortality. Even healthy individuals that appear to have normal heart function under resting conditions, actually have an increased susceptibility and vulnerability to stress. This is confounded by the impact that stress and disease can have over time to both the heart and vessels. Although, there is a rapidly growing body of literature investigating the effects of aging on the heart and how age-related alterations affect cardiac function, the biology of aging and underlying mechanisms remain unclear. In this review, we summarize effects of aging on the heart and discuss potential theories of cellular aging with special emphasis on mitoehondrial dysfunction.展开更多

文摘With great increase of mobile service in recent years, high quality of experience(QoE) is becoming a comprehensive and major goal for service provider. To unify evaluations of different services, mean opinion score(MOS) as a subjective assessment is usually adopted for accurate and convincing reflection of user perceived quality. In this paper,we consider the effect of the burst transmission of best effort(BE) traffic on the uses with real time video traffic in the same cell.We extend the rate scaling process which was initially used to shape burstiness of BE users as interference to handle the scenario that BE users act as resource competitors with video users.A power reallocation strategy between the two types of users is presented and an algorithm further improving the fairness of BE users is proposed. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can not only promote the QoE of both types of users, but also guarantee the fairness among users.
