Based on existing problems, some solu- tions were presented with consideration of natural resources and climates. Under guidance of sustainable development, a change is facilitated on the design thoughts to seek something new in design and practice, and some optimized schemes about building and landscapes were proposed as well.展开更多
Objective: This study aims to investigate the truth-telling status and the relevant factors of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) patients in Henan, China.Methods: A cross-sectional study from April to June 2015...Objective: This study aims to investigate the truth-telling status and the relevant factors of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) patients in Henan, China.Methods: A cross-sectional study from April to June 2015 using questionnaires was given to 301 family members of hospitalized ESCC patients based in three affiliated hospitals of Zhengzhou University(i.e., The First Hospital, The Second Hospital, and Tumor Hospital) and Anyang Tumor Hospital.Results: Among the 41.9%(126/301) hospitalized ESCC patients who knew of their true diagnoses, only 4.0% patients were informed by their corresponding responsible doctors, 39.7% by their family members, and 56.3% by themselves. Univariate analyses showed that disclosure of confirmed ESCC diagnosis to patients was correlated with gender, family history of cancer(FHC), education level, vocation, hospital administrative level, and attitudes of family members(P < 0.05). Furthermore,multivariate analysis indicated that attitude of family members was the most important and an independent factor for diagnosis disclosure. Those patients with a negative FHC, under-education, manual occupation, advanced stages, and hospitalized in municipal hospitals exhibited a low rate of truth telling.Conclusions: Truth telling for ESCC patients in Henan is not prevalent and may be improved through consultation with family members, particularly for patients with a negative FHC, poor education, manual occupation, and advanced stages.展开更多

Surround sound is not only used in the fi lm, home theater, also penetrated the digital TV and digital broadcasting.But because of the limitation of storage media capacity and transmission bandwidth must use all kinds of that audio compression technologyto transmit audio data. As a more general and more practical signifi cance, as masking and by masking sound are not limited to their respectiveresend by a single speaker, but in different proportion to their respective ‘channel sound level is poor. To deal with this issue, this paperintegrates the signal denoising method as the optimization and achieves better performance.展开更多

The story and character types remain the same; but the community can add their own jokes and commentary to make the play relevant to themselves and their community. What is added by the community says a lot about who they are and what they care about. The company Price-Waterhouse-Coopers produces their pantomime as management training and team building while engaging the community. The Basel Swiss panto raises money for African Charities. The Maplewood, NJ panto raises money for the homeless and the Jaguar Charity panto in Birmingham performs to disadvantaged children and adults. The productions can be extravagant or threadbare, but share the same goal of raising cheer and goodwill to the benefit of the community. Be- cause of the sensitive and fragile plateau environment, it needs to have optimal performance characteristics, inc...Home courtyard agriculture is an important model of agricultural production on the Tibetan plateau. Be- cause of the sensitive and fragile plateau environment, it needs to have optimal performance characteristics, including high sustainability, low environmental pressure, and high economic benefit. Emergy analysis is a promising tool for evaluation of the environmental-economic performance of these production systems. In this study, emergy analysis was used to evaluate three courtyard agricultural production models： Raising Geese in Corn Fields （RGICF）, Con- ventional Corn Planting （CCP）, and Pea-Wheat Rotation （PWR）. The results showed that the RGICF model produced greater economic benefits, and had higher sustainability, lower environmental pressure, and higher product safety than the CCP and PWR models. The emergy yield ratio （EYR） and emergy self-support ratio （ESR） of RGICF were 0.66 and 0.11, respectively, lower than those of the CCP production model, and 0.99 and 0.08, respectively, lower than those of the PWR production model. The impact of RGICF （1.45） on the environment was lower than that of CCP （2.26） and PWR （2.46）. The emergy sustainable indices （ESIs） of RGICF were 1.07 and 1.02 times higher than those of CCP and PWR, respectively. With regard to the emergy index of product safety （EIPS）, RGICF had a higher safety index than those of CCP and PWR. Overall, our results suggest that the RGICF model is advantageous and provides higher environmental benefits than the CCP and PWR systems.展开更多
