The linear seat suspension is considered due to the low cost consideration therefore, the optimal linear seat suspension design method can be used for this purpose. In this paper, the design of a passive vehicle seat suspension system was handled in the framework of linear optimization. The variance of the dynamic load resulting from the vibrating vehicle operating at a constant speed was used as the performance measure of a suspension system. Using 4-DOF human body model developed by Abbas et al., with linear seat suspension and coupled with half car model. A genetic algorithm is applied to solve the linear optimization problem. The optimal design parameters of the seat suspension systems obtained are kse = 3 012.5 N/m and cse = 1 210.4 N.s/m, respectively. 展开更多

In order to explore the precise dynamic response of the maglev train and verify the validity of proposed controller,a maglev guideway-electromagnet-air spring-cabin coupled model is developed in the first step.Based on the coupled model,the stresses of the modules are analyzed,and it is pointed out that the inherent nonlinearity,the inner coupling,misalignments between the sensors and actuators,and external disturbances are the main issues that should be considered for the maglev engineering.Furthermore,a feedback linearization controller based on the mathematical model of a maglev module is derived,in which the nonlinearity,coupling and misalignments are taken into account.Then,to attenuate the effect of external disturbances,a disturbance observer is proposed and the dynamics of the estimation error is analyzed using the input-to-state stability theory.It shows that the error is negligible under a low-frequency disturbance.However,at the high-frequency range,the error is unacceptable and the disturbances can not be compensated in time,which lead to over designed fluctuations of levitation gap,even a clash between the upper surface of electromagnet and lower surface of guideway.To solve this problem,a novel nonlinear acceleration feedback is put forward to enhancing the attenuation ability of fast varying disturbances.Finally,numerical comparisons show that the proposed controller outperforms the traditional feedback linearization controller and maintains good robustness under disturbances. 展开更多

The linear stability analysis of the fiber suspension Taylor-Couette flow against axisymmetric and non-axisymmetric disturbances is investigated. A generalized complex eigenvalue problem generated from the linearized set of the three-dimensional governing system equations around the basic Couette azimuthal solution are solved numerically with the Chebyshev spectral method. In a wide range of radius ratios and the magnitudes of counter rotating, critical bifurcation thresholds from the axisymmetric Couette flow to the flow with different azimuthal wave numbers are obtained. The complex dispersion relations of the linearized stability equation system for vortex patterns with different azimuthal wave number are calculated for real axial wave numbers for axially extended vortex structures. 展开更多

In order to calculate the suspended sediment discharge of the flood debris flows into the main river,a small scale flume test was designed to simulate the process of confluence of Jiangjia Ravine and Xiangjiang River in Yunnan province,China.By test observation and data analysis,suspended sediment discharge of Debris flow after its entry into the main river was found to have a close relation with the bulk density,the confluence angle of the Debris flow and the main river,the ratio between per unit width discharge of Debris flow and main river.Based on the measured and simulated results,and statistical analysis,an empirical formula was proposed for the suspended SDR(Sediment Delivery Ratio) of the main river after the confluence of Debris flow.Compared with the observed results of Debris flow in 2009,the error between the data calculated by the empirical formula and the monitored data is only about 10%. 展开更多

Aiming at the contradiction between the depth control accuracy and the energy consumption of the self-sustaining intelligent buoy,a low energy consumption depth control method based on historical array for real-time geostrophic oceanography(Argo)data is proposed.As known from the buoy kinematic model,the volume of the external oil sac only depends on the density and temperature of seawater at hovering depth.Hence,we use historical Argo data to extract the fitting curves of density and temperature,and obtain the relationship between the hovering depth and the volume of the external oil sac.Genetic algorithm is used to carry out the optimal energy consumption motion planning for the depth control process,and the specific motion strategy of depth control process is obtained.Compared with dual closed-loop fuzzy PID control method and radial basis function(RBF)-PID method,the proposed method reduces energy consumption to 1/50 with the same accuracy.Finally,a hardware-in-the-loop simulation system was used to verify this method.When the error caused by fitting curves is not considered,the average error is 2.62 m,the energy consumption is 3.214×10^(4)J,and the error of energy consumption is only 0.65%.It shows the effectiveness and reliability of the method as well as the advantages of comprehensively considering the accuracy and energy consumption. 展开更多
