The concep...Contextual Cognitive Theory （CCT） is the latest teaching and learning theory in west countries, which reveals the nature of knowledge in a new perspective as well as the conditions of meaningful learning. The concept based on CCT corresponds to the principles proposed by the new curriculum standard for English. Therefore, it has great implications for the reform of English teaching in the classroom. In this paper, the author gives a brief account of the main points of CCT, and then, she discusses its pedagogical implications for the construction of new teaching strategies in the classroom through designing and analyzing teaching cases.展开更多

This study aims： （1） to describe the students＇ perception of the use of Interact as teaching media in learning reading comprehension; （2） to depict the students＇ perception of the importance oflnternet to access information; and （3） to explain the students＇ frequency to access Internet. This study uses the descriptive method to reveal the research problems. A questionnaire is used to collect the data. It consists of 20 questions with five options to reveal the students＇ perception of the use of Internet. The questionnaire is distributed to 120 students who took reading subject at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The study shows that （1） The students＇ perception toward the use of Internet to improve Reading Comprehension subject is positive; （2） According to the students, the use of Internet to access reading materials is very important; and （3） The students frequently access Internet to find the reading materials.展开更多

On one hand, church has to use modern communication channel, on the other hand, effects of online translation of confessional relations are not predictable. Open global socieW requires certain universalization of education, but professional communications are faced not only with a problem of language barrier, but also with national culture. School of thought, formed in traditions of particular cultural outlook, risks losing its face to the loss of national characteristics of the education system. Despite financial pressure, HIFA has...This paper intends to expound the application of information and communication technology （ICT） in art education, making a case of study of Hubei Institute of Fine Arts （HIFA）. Despite financial pressure, HIFA has invested heavily in the infi＇aslructure. The classrooms at HIFA can be roughly divided into three kinds： studios, multimedia classrooms and computer labs with reference to ICT. There are three general approaches to the instructional use of the technology at HIFA, namely： learning about computers and the Intemet; learning with computers and the Intemet and learning through computers and the Internet. The utilization oflCT has shaped the art education model of HIFA considerably and has brought about a lot of changes and benefits to the faculty and students. However, its disadvantage may overweigh the advantage unless it is properly harnessed.展开更多

The degree of priority establishe...The sustainable development supposes a development strategy that would ensure the interdependence and complementarily of objectives from the social, economic and environmental fields. The degree of priority established for the three dimensions of sustainable development differs from one country to another, a fact that confers a national and local meaning to this issue. For the Central and Eastern European countries, balanced economic development represents one of the fundamental objectives of the reforms started in 1990. Education represents a priority of any country＇s economic development and an extremely important element of economic growth. This paper presents the characteristics of the Romanian educational system while achieving a comparative analysis regarding different countries of the European Union, both from a quantitative viewpoint （using the main indicators in the education field） and a qualitative viewpoint （using student performances in international evaluations）. In the end, we present some proposals for the improvement of the present state of the Romanian educational system.展开更多
