“教育现代化”目标下的本科通识教育改革思路

“教育现代化”是国家未来发展战略目标要求。“教育现代化”本质上就是人的现代化。人的现代化需要现代化的教育养成。本科通识教育作为现代化“育人”的高端环节之一,其目标是培养“现代化高阶的人”,即“人类文明新形态”高阶创造者。本科通识教育现代化过程就是育人理念、育人方式方法和育人标准等方面的现代性不断增长的和实现的过程。国内现行本科通识教育在目标定位、课程体系建设和实施过程和方式等方面与“教育现代化”目标还有一段距离,可以通过改革通识教育“育人”顶层设计理念、建设科学的现代化的通识课程体系、现代化通识教育实施过程和方式等来缩短差距。

从“过程”视角试析“教育研究现代化”

本文从“过程”视角提出,“教育研究现代化”是随着社会的变革发展,教育研究的现代性不断增加的运动过程;进而剖析了教育研究现代性的主要“成分”,认为价值取向的多元化和研究视野的国际化、决策制度的知识化和管理制度的人性化、研究范式的科学化和研究手段的信息化,分别是“教育研究现代性”观念层面、制度层面和物质层面的基本趋势或走向。

The Origin of Chinese Modem Engineering Education： Fuzhou Shipping School＇s Engineering Education at Late Qing Dynasty

Engineering education is an important issue in engineering practice, and engineering practice and characteristics can be seen through examining the history of early Chinese engineering education. During the period ranging from the 1860s to the middle of the 1890s, the westernization group set up a series of modern industrial and mining enterprises for military and civil use, making the implementation of modern engineering education become possible and necessary. Thanks to their efforts, many schools and old-style private schools for teaching knowledge about western science and technology and training senior engineering managements and talents were gradually founded in China. These modern education organizations are the source and beginning of Chinese engineering education, which is also the origin of modernization of Chinese engineering education. This article takes Fuzhou Shipping School for case studies, using a cultural anthropology approach to examine the overall status, basic characteristics, and impact evaluation of engineering education during the Westernization Movement in China. It reiterates the idea of that ＂engineering education should be returned to engineering practice,＂ and tries to explain the framework of the development of engineering education in China. Through conducting research, we find that the development of engineering education in modem China generally has the basic resources for realization of internationalization through ＂westernization＂ and localization through traditional culture and education and the general characteristics of diversification of social influence. During the development process, it has accumulated valuable experience for timely reform and gradual improvement of modernization： attaching importance to culture and cultivating qualified technical personnel; strictly requiring and building high-level schools and specialties; learning the advanced knowledge and bravely utilizing foreign educational resources; setting pragmatic and highly pertinent disciplines and specialties. It also left the society with thought-provoking lessons, namely, the lagging industrial production and social instability made the development severely restricted and obstructed; the unreasonable development layout resulted in the intensified imbalanced development in different regions; the bureaucracy nature imposed serious impact on efficiency and effectiveness of education; the negligence of innovation made the great-leap-forward development failed, etc.

Explore the application of educational information in College English Teaching

With the development of information technology, it has become a hot topic in higher education sector that integrate IT with other disciplines in university and bring it into the classroom. This paper demonstrates the integration of information technology and interactive college English teaching aiming to improve the efficiency of classroom teaching and the quality of teaching so as to achieve the modernization of education and cultivate modem talents in a better way.

The research of multimedia music teaching practice

The multi-media music teaching is to make video projector, video display, computer, TV, video order, CD, VCD, booth, acoustics, teaching software, and other media become an organic whole, and it is the floorboard of the modem teaching equipment. Multimedia technology takes advantages of media combination including text, images, animation, sound that can hold information, it provides variegated and multidimensional teaching information space for the music teaching by the form of text, sound, music and so on, it makes the teaching content and mode of music teaching better improvement and enrichment, and it provides the technical support for music education modernization, and it is a new technology which is introduced into the field of teaching in recent years. Mastering the function of multimedia teaching as soon as possible and applying it effectively to music classroom teaching is the need of modem education reform and development.

Approaching Differentiated Instruction via the Attitudes and the Opinions of Greek Primary School Teachers： An Empirical Investigation

In the modern educational reality, as it is influenced by the social developments, the diversity of school potential is intensely highlighted. At the same time, the standardization of the teaching process appears to be insufficient to meet the modern instructive requirements, while it is vastly supported that differentiated teaching can sufficiently respond to the modern instructive needs. Moreover, it is pointed out that differentiated teaching is another way of thinking on the instructive work. On that basis and with a view to investigating the functionalist dimensions of differentiated teaching, a research of empiric character was attempted geared toward at the investigation of attitudes and opinions of Greek primary school teachers with regard to the differentiated teaching. The structured questionnaire was used as a research tool and the main conclusions showed not only the limited briefing of the sample teachers, with regard to the theoretical and applicable functionalism of differentiated teaching, but also the conviction that the differentiated teaching has the potential to treat students equally while functioning as a driving force for the dynamic forming of knowledge by the students themselves.

The Construction of＂New Woman＂ in Chen Hengzhe＇s Autobiography

This essay examines the autobiography of Chen Hengzhe （1890-1976） （see Appendix）, a relatively less studied woman writer, historian, and critic in modem China. Through the study in four aspects, namely, the pursuit of modem education, simple appearance, great leaders, and the ambassadors of culture, the author＇s research indicates that Chen＇s construction of＂new woman＂ has been influenced by complex historical and cultural forces such as the Chinese traditional culture, Western culture, and the iconoclastic spirit of ＂the New Culture Movement＂. Meanwhile, Chen＇s gender consciousness is also an important element. Moreover, Chen＇s pioneering standing and her own experiences of studying abroad makes her take the lead in conceiving women＇s leadership and their roles in global culture communications. In the late Qing and the early Republic, traditional values and norms of womanhood were severely challenged. Chen＇s construction of＂new woman＂ is her conscious effort to define a new womanhood and is an integral part of the ongoing exploration of Chinese women for modem womanhood. Through the examination of Chen＇s ＂new woman＂, this paper seeks to enrich our understanding of the complexity of modem Chinese women＇s exploration of modem womanhood.

The Governance of Higher Education According to the Marxist View of Fairness

According to Marxism,fairness or equity is concrete,evolving,and practice-based,and has as its ultimate aim the realization of the full and free development of man.Xi Jinping Thought on Fairness and Justice underscores governing the country according to law,improving work styles,innovating the social governance model,and making social welfare and people＇s full and free development the point of departure and ultimate goal,in a fresh development of the Marxist approach to equity in the contemporary era.Guided by this approach,Chinese higher education institutions should break free of the traditional regimen,shifting the governance structure from bureaucratic management to shared governance and from the traditional rule of man to the rule of law.Through institutional measures and observance of the basic laws of higher education development,we can build a new type of collaborative relationship among governments,institutions of higher learning,academics and students,and society as a whole.In this way,all participants will find their proper place and realize their full potential,thus activating and enhancing the innovative capacity of higher education.Only thus will higher education institutions be able to modernize their governance systems and capacity.
