Aiming to identify policy topics and their evolutionary logic that enhance the digital and green development(dual development)of traditional manufacturing enterprises,address weaknesses in current policies,and provide...Aiming to identify policy topics and their evolutionary logic that enhance the digital and green development(dual development)of traditional manufacturing enterprises,address weaknesses in current policies,and provide resources for refining dual development policies,a total of 15954 dual development-related policies issued by national and various departmental authorities in China from January 2000 to August 2023 were analyzed.Based on topic modeling techniques and the policy modeling consistency(PMC)framework,the evolution of policy topics was visualized,and a dynamic assessment of the policies was conducted.The results show that the digital and green development policy framework is progressively refined,and the governance philosophy shifts from a“regulatory government”paradigm to a“service-oriented government”.The support pattern evolves from“dispersed matching”to“integrated symbiosis”.However,there are still significant deficiencies in departmental cooperation,balanced measures,coordinated links,and multi-stakeholder participation.Future policy improvements should,therefore,focus on guiding multi-stakeholder participation,enhancing public demand orientation,and addressing the entire value chain.These steps aim to create an open and shared digital industry ecosystem to promote the coordinated dual development of traditional manufacturing enterprises.展开更多

In the paper, we present a novel method of detecting text aligned either horizontally or vertically, in which a pyramid structure is used to represent an image and the features of the text are extracted using SUSAN edge detector. Text regions at each level of the pyramid are identified according to the autocorrelation analysis. New techniques are introduced to split the text regions into basic ones and merge them into text lines. By evaluating the method on a set of images, we obtain a very good performance of text detection.展开更多

In Pakistan,the solar analogue has been addressed but its surface geographical parameterization has given least attention.Inappropriate density of stations and their spatial coverage particularly in difficult peripher...In Pakistan,the solar analogue has been addressed but its surface geographical parameterization has given least attention.Inappropriate density of stations and their spatial coverage particularly in difficult peripheral national territories,little or no solar radiation data,non-satisfactory sunshine hours data,and low quality of ground observed cloud cover data create a situation in which the spatial modeling of Extraterrestrial Solar Radiation(ESR) and its ground parameterization got sufficient scope.The Digital Elevation Model (DEM) input into Geographic Information System (GIS) is a compatible tool to demonstrate the spatial distribution of ESR over the rugged terrains of the study domain.For the first time,distributed modeling of ESR is done over the rugged terrains of Pakistan,based on DEM and ArcGIS..Results clearly depict that the complex landforms profoundly disrupt the zonal distribution of ESR in Pakistan.The screening impact of topography is higher on spatial distribution of ESR in winter and considerably low in summer.The combined effect of topography and latitude is obvious.Hence,the model was further testified by plotting Rb (ratio of ESR quantity over rugged terrain against plane surface) against azimuth at different latitudes with different angled slopes.The results clearly support the strong screening effect of rugged terrain through out the country especially in Himalayas,Karakoram and Hindukush (HKH),western border mountains and Balochistan Plateau.This model can be instrumental as baseline geospatial information for scientific investigations in Pakistan,where substantial fraction of national population is living in mountainous regions.展开更多

The current focus is on dissertation abstracts in the field of sociology. The summarization method uses macro-level and micro-level discourse structure to identify important information that can be extracted from dissertation abstracts, and then uses a variable-based framework to integrate and organize extracted information across dissertation abstracts. This framework focuses more on research concepts and their research relationships found in sociology dissertation abstracts and has a hierarchical structure. A taxonomy is constructed to support the summarization process in two ways: (1) helping to identify important concepts and relations expressed in the text, and (2) providing a structure for linking similar concepts in different abstracts. This paper describes the variable-based framework and the summarization process, and then reports the construction of the taxonomy for supporting the summarization process. An example is provided to show how to use the constructed taxonomy to identify important concepts and integrate the concepts extracted from different abstracts.展开更多

Four classical chirographies of "Kaisho", "Gyosho", "Sousho" and "Hiragana", and 47 characters for each chirography, were selected and analyzed by this system. The "Sumi" distribution of character was clarified from 12 directions and summarized into four parts of horizontal part, diagonal left part, vertical part and diagonal fight part. The character's contour line was converted to a signal data in order to calculate roundness index. The degree of character's radian was presented by roundness index. The smooth index was calculated at the same time. Additionally, width index, "Sumi" ratio, stability index also were calculated to contrast the features of each style. The main character points of four styles of "Kaisho', "Gyosho", "Sousho", "Hiragana" were extracted to compare each other, and provide a reference for learners. The learners could obtain the quantitative data to understand their work's characteristics. It can also be compared with other person's work by this system in order to improve learners' writing skill.展开更多

The class was held from July to August, 2010, in Chinese Culture University (Taiwan), and we designed a performance-evaluation questionnaire with the Delphi method. Three months after the training program was completed, the questionnaire was given to the 30 students of the class, and they were asked to answer questions regarding their use of e-learning in the actual practice. We also asked 5 teachers to conduct experimental e-learning for us to video-record and observe. This effort allows us to discuss the use of e-learning among CSL teachers in Taiwan, come up with a conclusion and suggestions, and use the findings as references for course-planning and policies or research regarding the digital learning of Chinese.展开更多
The key aspect in planning and management of water resources is to analyze the runoff potential and erosion status of the river basin.For the detailed investigation of hydrological response freely available Cartosat-1...The key aspect in planning and management of water resources is to analyze the runoff potential and erosion status of the river basin.For the detailed investigation of hydrological response freely available Cartosat-1(IRS-P5) data was used for the preparation of digital elevation model(DEM).The runoff potential and type of erosive process of 22 river basins originating in the global biodiversity hotspot of Western Ghats,was inferred through hypsometric analysis.Several parameters like Hypsometric integral(HI),maximum concavity(Eh),coordinates of slope inflection point(I) given by a* and h* and normalized height of hypsometric curve(h) were extracted from the hypsometric curves and used for understanding the hydrological responses.From the hypsometric curves,the landform evolution processes were inferred.Contribution of diffusive and fluvial processes in slope degradation of the river basins was understood.Basins with lesser area(<100 km^2) were found to have a positive correlation between hypsometric integral and basin area,whereas for large basins no such correlation exists.Based on the study,river basins can be prioritized for the appropriate conservation measures.展开更多

There are more than 800,000 units of audiovisual documents in the archive. The main laws regulating the activity of Lithuanian Central State Archive and related to audiovisual archiving are the Law on Documents and Archives of Lithuanian Republic, the Law of Cinema of Lithuanian Republic, and the Law on Copyright and Related Rights of Lithuanian Republic. There are four big collections of audiovisual documents in the Lithuanian Central State Archive--films, photo documents, sound recordings, and video recordings. The Archive's specialists have a large experience in the field of physical treatment and preservation of analogue audiovisual documents. Lithuanian Central State Archive digitizes audiovisual documents seeking the balance between long time preservation and nowadays access. Since May, 2010 till April 2013, Lithuanian Central State Archive implemented the project--Lithuanian documentaries on the Internet. LILA has a closed-loop water delivery system and consists of four 0.08 square kilometer (-8 h...The Loxahatchee Impoundment Landscape Assessment (LILA) facility is a unique physical model of the Everglades ecosystem. LILA has a closed-loop water delivery system and consists of four 0.08 square kilometer (-8 ha) macrocosms, created to be replicates of one another and of the Everglades landscape. Built in 2003, LILA's purpose is to provide scientists with an opportunity to design and implement research concerning Everglades restoration techniques in an accessible, controlled and replicated Everglades environment. Key Everglades habitats were sculpted within LILA: tree islands, ridges, sloughs and alligator holes. Water levels and flows in each macrocosm are controlled independently, so that researchers can study the effects of hydrology on Everglades landscape and ecology. Studies have focused upon measuring survival and growth of native trees planted on the tree islands; measuring surface water and ground water movement and chemistry; studying wading bird feeding and the movement of prey species (crayfish); and measuring erosion and accretion on tree islands and ridges. We developed a Geographic Information System (GIS) data set to identify, characterize, and spatially reference the features of LILA and document research activities. This development included mapping the boundaries of the landscape features, creating a theoretical Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and describing the research projects being carried out. The creation of this GIS data set enhances the ability to schedule and coordinate research, assist scientists in the visualization and spatial representation of their research, and provide a resource for the storage, analysis and synthesis of valuable scientific information.展开更多

A distributed hydrological model was developed, and watershed parameters were determined based on satellite imagery, digital terrain models, digital maps and field investigations. Two types of erosion control measures were investigated: the variation of vegetation covers and the change of cultivation techniques. Seven scenarios were considered for the test watershed. The results show: (1) while the de-vegetation results in the increase of peak discharge, the improve of vegetation covers decreases peak discharge at watershed scale; (2) by both improving vegetation cover and enhancing terrace-cultivation technology, the peak discharge is reduced and the peak flow arrival time is delayed; (3) attention should be attached to both early warning system and measures changing the underlying surface and conveyance systems.展开更多

Upon being stretched, a high density of random cr...A wearable and high-precision sensor for sound signal acquisition and recognition was fabricated from thin films of specially designed graphene woven fabrics (GWFs). Upon being stretched, a high density of random cracks appears in the network, which decreases the current pathways, thereby increasing the resistance. Therefore, the film could act as a strain sensor on the human throat in order to measure one's speech through muscle movement, regardless of whether or not a sound is produced. The ultra-high sensitivity allows for the realization of rapid and low-frequency speech sampling by extracting the signature characteristics of sound waves. In this study, representative signals of 26 English letters, typical Chinese characters and tones, and even phrases and sentences were tested, revealing obvious and characteristic changes in resistance. Furthermore, resistance changes of the graphene sensor responded perfectly with pre-recorded sounds. By combining artificial intelligence with digital signal processing, we expect that, in the future, this graphene sensor will be able to successfully negotiate complex acoustic systems and large quantities of audio data.展开更多

文摘The key aspect in planning and management of water resources is to analyze the runoff potential and erosion status of the river basin.For the detailed investigation of hydrological response freely available Cartosat-1(IRS-P5) data was used for the preparation of digital elevation model(DEM).The runoff potential and type of erosive process of 22 river basins originating in the global biodiversity hotspot of Western Ghats,was inferred through hypsometric analysis.Several parameters like Hypsometric integral(HI),maximum concavity(Eh),coordinates of slope inflection point(I) given by a* and h* and normalized height of hypsometric curve(h) were extracted from the hypsometric curves and used for understanding the hydrological responses.From the hypsometric curves,the landform evolution processes were inferred.Contribution of diffusive and fluvial processes in slope degradation of the river basins was understood.Basins with lesser area(<100 km^2) were found to have a positive correlation between hypsometric integral and basin area,whereas for large basins no such correlation exists.Based on the study,river basins can be prioritized for the appropriate conservation measures.
文摘In the following work of research, we shall present the results of a study on forms of digital photographic socialization as carried out by the so-called "digital natives" in order to explore their competence in managing digital photographic output and cultural practices. This shall be done under the following categories of analysis: snapshot, organization, socialization, reception, privacy, and copyrights in digital photography. The study explores the forms of digital photography production, technical problems of photographic management and the final uses that digital photographers give to their photos in terms of web tools 2.0, mobile telephones and social networks. Digital photography technology, compact cameras, mobile phones with cameras, specialized websites in photography and the lnternet generate new forms of production and emerging styles of digital photographic socialization. The study is carried out using a defined sample of university students, those digital natives who create and use digital photography.

文摘Lithuanian Central State Archive is the biggest one within the state archival service and the only state archive where audiovisual documents are stored. There are more than 800,000 units of audiovisual documents in the archive. The main laws regulating the activity of Lithuanian Central State Archive and related to audiovisual archiving are the Law on Documents and Archives of Lithuanian Republic, the Law of Cinema of Lithuanian Republic, and the Law on Copyright and Related Rights of Lithuanian Republic. There are four big collections of audiovisual documents in the Lithuanian Central State Archive--films, photo documents, sound recordings, and video recordings. The Archive's specialists have a large experience in the field of physical treatment and preservation of analogue audiovisual documents. Lithuanian Central State Archive digitizes audiovisual documents seeking the balance between long time preservation and nowadays access. Since May, 2010 till April 2013, Lithuanian Central State Archive implemented the project--Lithuanian documentaries on the Internet. During the project the Archives digitized and transferred to the Internet 1,000 titles of Lithuanian documentaries, created in the period 1919-1961. Lithuanian Central State Archive wants to popularize its collections, so various international projects are participated in.
文摘Notable for the completeness with which it surrenders formally and artistically to the textual dictates of Twitter, Jennifer Egan's 2012 short science fiction Black Box is one of the most triumphant and fully-fledged fictions written in the form of new media. This paper explores the Twitter narrative employed in Black Box, pointing out that the serialized tweeting format of the story released via computer, mobile phone, or other electronic equipments brings readers immediate reading experience, allowing readers to sense the same feelings as the protagonist does. Through the experimental serialization of"Twitter" narrative, Egan expresses her concerns and worries about the security of the American security as well as the whole world in the post-"9.11" period and at the same time she embraces the virtues and pleasures of traditional storytelling delivered through a wholly new digital format. This paper concludes that Black Box is perhaps one of the boldest experiments of narrative form and is direct exploration into the contemporary image culture.
文摘The Loxahatchee Impoundment Landscape Assessment (LILA) facility is a unique physical model of the Everglades ecosystem. LILA has a closed-loop water delivery system and consists of four 0.08 square kilometer (-8 ha) macrocosms, created to be replicates of one another and of the Everglades landscape. Built in 2003, LILA's purpose is to provide scientists with an opportunity to design and implement research concerning Everglades restoration techniques in an accessible, controlled and replicated Everglades environment. Key Everglades habitats were sculpted within LILA: tree islands, ridges, sloughs and alligator holes. Water levels and flows in each macrocosm are controlled independently, so that researchers can study the effects of hydrology on Everglades landscape and ecology. Studies have focused upon measuring survival and growth of native trees planted on the tree islands; measuring surface water and ground water movement and chemistry; studying wading bird feeding and the movement of prey species (crayfish); and measuring erosion and accretion on tree islands and ridges. We developed a Geographic Information System (GIS) data set to identify, characterize, and spatially reference the features of LILA and document research activities. This development included mapping the boundaries of the landscape features, creating a theoretical Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and describing the research projects being carried out. The creation of this GIS data set enhances the ability to schedule and coordinate research, assist scientists in the visualization and spatial representation of their research, and provide a resource for the storage, analysis and synthesis of valuable scientific information.
文摘To investigate the effects of various erosion control measures on mountain floods, a case study was conducted in Censhui River South Branch Watershed using scenario analysis and soil conservation service (SCS) methods. A distributed hydrological model was developed, and watershed parameters were determined based on satellite imagery, digital terrain models, digital maps and field investigations. Two types of erosion control measures were investigated: the variation of vegetation covers and the change of cultivation techniques. Seven scenarios were considered for the test watershed. The results show: (1) while the de-vegetation results in the increase of peak discharge, the improve of vegetation covers decreases peak discharge at watershed scale; (2) by both improving vegetation cover and enhancing terrace-cultivation technology, the peak discharge is reduced and the peak flow arrival time is delayed; (3) attention should be attached to both early warning system and measures changing the underlying surface and conveyance systems.

文摘A wearable and high-precision sensor for sound signal acquisition and recognition was fabricated from thin films of specially designed graphene woven fabrics (GWFs). Upon being stretched, a high density of random cracks appears in the network, which decreases the current pathways, thereby increasing the resistance. Therefore, the film could act as a strain sensor on the human throat in order to measure one's speech through muscle movement, regardless of whether or not a sound is produced. The ultra-high sensitivity allows for the realization of rapid and low-frequency speech sampling by extracting the signature characteristics of sound waves. In this study, representative signals of 26 English letters, typical Chinese characters and tones, and even phrases and sentences were tested, revealing obvious and characteristic changes in resistance. Furthermore, resistance changes of the graphene sensor responded perfectly with pre-recorded sounds. By combining artificial intelligence with digital signal processing, we expect that, in the future, this graphene sensor will be able to successfully negotiate complex acoustic systems and large quantities of audio data.
