How to preserve their aura, their dynamics, and their ephemeral and genuine nature, as Walter Benjamin said? In 1936, Benjamin already anticipated in The Work of Art in the Age of lts Technological Reproducibility that something is missing even in the best-finished reproduction. And memories of dance and physical theatre are intricate. The question is how to create a type of documentation that does not betray the vital flow of the event-based phenomenon. In this short article we will see a series of choreographic and performance artists like Esther Ferrer, Ayara Hern^indez Holz, and Olga de Soto who claimed a new form of organic documentation, making it turn performance or memory of viewers. Other creators as the company La Fura dels Baus claim documentation as spectacle and others on the opposite side, as Tino Sehgal propose radically non documentation of their work. Precisely, these different positions coincide with those of thinkers like Peggy Phelan, Sarah Bay-Cheng, or Paula Caspao who respect to a range of documentation and how it can never replace the live art.展开更多

It gives you the sound and makes you dream. Once you get used to this media you start dreaming. If you used to listen radio more, you get in dependence with it. So this day dreaming change to lifeless dreaming. This article gives an evaluation of how radio audience can shape audience future dreams with dependence theory. The paper starts with a conceptual explanation of dependence theory and goes on with a survey done in Turkey to 101 radio listeners. The survey investigates on how people like listening the radio and what makes them enjoy radio. The survey assumes that people listening to radio and getting depended on it start changing the behaviors and habits of listeners. This behavior change effects listeners future dreams and the audience take radio as a model. The paper shows by using the dependence theory that radio listeners take the radio they love as model and use it to build their future business dreams.展开更多

The research topic of this study is the use of theoretical methodological tools, whose implementation supports the organizations in the fulfillment of requirement 4 of ISO 9001:2015, adapting it to their particular needs, minimizing rework in the documentation, increasing the motivation of the personnel involved and promoting well-being within the work environment. Some theoretical methodological tools were implemented in the case of Engineering laboratories of the Faculty of Higher Studies Arag6n, that support and complement the teaching-learning process in the theoretical-practical subjects of the curricula of the engineering bachelor's degrees, providing students with practical training in the use of equipment, devices, and tools, as well as extracurricular courses. In the study participated the stakeholders of laboratories. From the results, it was observed that the time for the documentation of the quality management system was reduced using the theoretical tools proposed in this study. In conclusion, this study will thus be useful as a starting point in using formal tools for the implementation of ISO 9001: 2015 standard.展开更多

The methodology used in this descriptive and qualitative research intends to take two directions: a bibliographical and a descriptive analytic documental research. Through the consultation and analysis of documents from Fundo Clamor (correspondence, denunciations, bulletins, and leaflets from Abuelas de la Plaza de Mayo, reports, writs of habeas corpus, pieces of reportage, and files from clandestine detention centres and on enforced disappearances), a compilation will be made with information regarding the disappearance of children and the imprisonment and/or abduction of pregnant militants in an attempt to describe the situation of apprehension and incarceration, the historical context, and the repression forces involved in the operation of arrest, kidnapping and/or torture of militants, children, and teenagers. Besides this heritage, a documental research will be made at Terror Archives, the Centre for Documentation and Archives for the Defence of Human Rights (CDyA) of Paraguay Supreme Justice Court, which contains a register of Alfredo Stroessner's thirty-five-year-long military dictatorship in Paraguay. The main argument in this research states that the archives from the Committee for the Defence of Refugees Human Rights from the Southern Cone, available at Fundo Clamor, contribute significantly to the rescue of historical memory from the dictatorial period and to the achievement of complete citizenship in these countries, considering that Brazil was the protagonist of the National Security Doctrine implantation process in South America.展开更多

The primary goal of this effort is to assess the variation of vortex center location and vortex circulation associated with sequential AVI toward an improvement of the hybrid method of CFD and prescribed wake model, which closely relates to predicting the BVI (blade-vortex interaction) noise radiated from a helicopter rotor. The representative of sequential AVI is performed by single vortex and two airfoils. Investigations with respect to vortex center location and vortex circulation after AVIs have been made by varying the miss-distance, which is the vertical distance between the airfoil leading edge and the vortex center. Correlations between miss-distance and vorticity field show that there exists complicated vortex wake flow with several vortices newly induced in 1st AVI. The pressure fluctuation amplitude clarifies that the intensity in 2nd AV1 is significantly low compared to the intensity in 1st AVI due to the influence of vortex dissipation. Simulations turned out to modify the vortex center location represented by the hybrid method using an offset value for a streamwise direction and to dissipate the vortex circulation for improving the accuracy of BVI noise prediction.展开更多

He specially prized cinema showing events integrally, what means, on the one hand, to show simultaneously and fully all the characters and all the objects pertaining to an event, and on the other to show the event integrally as it develops in time. Additionally Bazin showed that such a procedure reduces the purely literary component in cinema, and, correspondingly, increases its illusory force--as to the fictional reality presented. Yet, Bazin's work is not systematic, giving us brilliant insights scattered through many essays. Following Bazin's main idea, this presentation attempts to systematically discuss the illusory potential of the shot presenting an event integrally as compared with the imaginary, that is, literary character introduced in cinema by suggesting an event by means of montage and fragmentary shots. We proceed by means of a detailed consideration of the belief-structure of the aesthetic experience corresponding to the single shot integrally showing an event and to montage suggesting an event by means of fragmentary shots. The core of the presentation lies in defining the concept of aesthetic belief as the propositional attitude having the structure accepting that P without believing that P is the case. We will carefully distinguish that structure in the case of illusion from the case of imagination as well as from illusion as sensory-based deception.展开更多

This might be related to file perceptions of caregivers on the causes, which could influence file treatment they proffer. The study was conducted among caregivers in Ife central Local Government. Results: Most mothers perceived that fever could be caused by malaria, teething, hot weather, cough and that diarrhea could be caused by teething, eating contaminated food, drink and water, dirty environment and feeding bottles. Illness behavior was poor, as most waited at least one day after the onset of symptoms before taking any action. Choice of treatment was mostly influenced by health education messages received from health workers and mass media. Discussion and conclusions: Caregivers had a fairly correct perception of the causes of fever, but had incorrect perceptions of the causes of diarrhea. There is need to educate caregivers on the causes of diarrhea, and appropriate treatment measures.展开更多

It discusses the origin of the short story in general and preconditions for the popularity of the new genre the Iranian literature of the 20th century, and also about the first successful collection of short stories that introduced it to the public. Also the development process of the short story and principle factors in every stage of its emergence as an independent genre of prose, as well as the thematic range are the main aspects among others to be analyzed in the article. It is historically documented that the Islamic state was established in 1979 after the fall of the Shah. And the very event had big impact not only on the social and political life of the country, but also on the cultural and literary life of the Iranians of the time. The significance of the revolution was such that it divided the literature to be known as the "pre-revolution" and "post-revolution" periods. Therefore this article is aimed to observe how this historic event had influenced the short story in particular and the distinct features of the works created during the two periods. The next period which stands out in the development of the short story is during the late 90s and the beginning of the 2000, where the genre experienced aesthetic innovations and experiments with new forms and styles. The distinct feature of the period is mainly in its topics it deals, among other the effects of the globalization and popular culture brought forth, isolated individual, urbanization, climate change and its destructive outcome and the social conflicts resulting from them. Such global issues caused the established writers to look out of their borders and open up to the concerns of the planet, and by doing so establishing new schools of thought and style among the writers of short story in modem Iranian literature. Finally the article will overview the role of the Iranian contemporary female short story writers, children's literature and the works of the immigrant Iranian authors that continue the traditions of the Persian literature outside Irma.展开更多

The results indicate that the no-till system affects positively the variables of soil properties and the organic matter has a rate of 2.89% compared to 2.44% in conventional tillage. If the conventional system has an infiltration of moisture relatively higher than that observed for no-till throughout the cycle, the no-tillage is distinguished by a higher storage of moisture at the end of cycle wheat cultivation. The results also indicate that the density (1.44 g/cm), permeability (22.79 cm/h) and soil compaction (12.51 kg/cm) in no-till were significantly higher compared to conventional tillage 1.35 g/cm, 14.13 cm/h, 7.40 kg/cm, respectively.展开更多

At the same time the adaptive value and evolutionary maintenance of different personalities are the subject of debate. Since Pavlov's work on dogs, students of comparative cognition have been aware that animals display vast individual differences on cognitive tasks, and that these differences may not be entirely accounted for differences in cognitive abilities. Here, we argue that personality is an important source of variation that may affect cognitive performance and we hypothesise mutual influences between personality and cognition across an individual's lifespan. In particular, we suggest that: 1) personality profiles may be markers of different cognitive styles; 2) success or failure in cognitive tasks could affect different personalities differently; 3) ontogenetic changes of personality profiles could be reflected in changes in cognitive performance. The study of such interplay has implications in animal welfare as well as in neuroscience and in translational medicine [Current Zoology 57 (4): 491-498, 2011].展开更多

An Affymetrix Gene Chip MouseExon 1.0 ST Array was performed to detect the gene expression of different groups. Gene clustering was applied to analyze the gene expression patterns of the PPFS and QDS groups compared with the NC group. The transcriptional networks analysis tool, Fun Net, was used to enrich the biological categories of differentially expressed genes in the PPFS and QDS groups.RESULTS: Biological categories of differentially expressed genes showed that excessive metabolism and extracellular matrix interaction, insufficient communication of cells(especially nerve cells), and the bidirectional regulation of genetic information processing were enriched in both syndromes. However, the degree of excessive metabolism in the PPFS group was higher than that in the QDS group. The hyperfunction of cancer and infection, and the hypofunction of the nervous and endocrine systems were obvious in the QDS group.CONCLUSION: The pituitary plays an important role in the development of liver cancer and syndromes. This study further studied the role of the pituitary in the combination of disease and syndromes.展开更多
