Of these trade disputes, 52 cases were "resolved" and 10 unresolved cases were referred to the Ministry of Labor. In 2009, 692 disputes from various organizations nationally were lodged at the Industrial Court of Trinidad and Tobago--781 in 2010, 778 in 2011 and at September 25th, 2012, 566 were filed (Swamber, 2012). Vincent Cabera, president of the Banking, Insurance and General Workers Union, expressing his grave concern about these statistics cited inter alia, noted that "work stoppages that currently persist in society owed to the malfunctioning of the industrial relations system of the twin island". Legitimate members of the Recognized Majority Union (RMU), who have within the past year at the Campus experienced unresolved conflicts at the departmental level that progressed to trade disputes will be eligible to participate and electronically administered a semi-structured questionnaire developed to determine the frequency and causes of unresolved conflict, their perceptions of its handling, as well as Form A of the Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory II (ROCI-II) (Rahim, 1983) to classify the conflict management style of their Heads of departments.展开更多

They include provisioning, regulating, cultural, and supporting services. These form the basis on which regional environmental reserves and development are assessed and for the valuation of ecosystem services. In this paper Hainan Island is used as an example to explore methods of regulating services based on the structure and processes of a natural ecosystem. Ecosystems were classified into 13 types: valley rain forest, mountainous rain forest, tropical monsoon forest, mountainous coppice forest, mountainous evergreen forest, tropical coniferous forest, shrubs, plantation, timber forest, windbreak forest, mangrove, savanna, and crop land. Regulating services and their economic values for Hainan Island ecosystems were assessed and evaluated in terms of water-holding, soil conservancy, nutrient cycle, C fixation and windbreak functions. The economic value of the regulating services in 2002 were estimated at 2035.88×10^8 to 2153.39×10^8 Chinese Yuan (CNY), which was eight times the value of provisioning services (wood and agricultural products), estimated at just 254.06×10^8 CNY. Our analyses imply that ecosystem regulating services play a very important role in the sustainable development of Hainan Island's society and economy.展开更多

In China, Qingdao is one of the early birds with best effects in implementing the new policy. This article analyzed the process and experiences of price adjustment of medical service in Qingdao and suggested that local governments in the process of implementing the National Fee Schedule (2012) fully utilize various influencing factors such as tools, resources and environment of policy implementation in order to obtain better policy results.展开更多

Here, we assessed the values of farmland ecosystem services in Qingdao City in 1997, 2002, 2007, 2012 and 2017 by using various methods(market value method, carbon tax method, afforestation cost method, substitute cost method, equivalent factor method, etc.) based on establishing an assessment index system for the farmland ecosystem services value. The results show that the total yearly value of farmland ecosystem services increased from 499.74× 10~8 Yuan to 681.74× 10~8 Yuan in the period of 1997-2017, and the yearly value of farmland ecosystem services per hectare increased from 6.57× 10~4 Yuan to 9.73× 10~4 Yuan. The product provisioning service, carbon fixation service and oxygen release service, as well as the soil conservation service, are the main farmland ecosystem services, and the proportions of these four ecosystem service values to the total value of farmland ecosystem services in Qingdao City were large and kept increasing. Some countermeasures are put forward to adequately use the indirect service value of the farmland ecosystem and provide improved well-being for humans, such as protecting and wisely using farmland, developing agriculture that is rooted in local conditions, promoting agricultural production efficiency, speeding up construction of modern agriculture gardens, deepening the supply-side structural reform of agriculture, developing agricultural eco-tourism, etc.展开更多
