The results indicate that the relationship between RMB internationalization and nonferrous metal prices reflects a complex nonlinear mechanism. There was no mutual influence between RMB internationalization and nonferrous metal prices prior to the trials of the RMB settlement in the cross-border trade in July 2009. Since then, however, a bidirectional causal relationship between RMB internationalization and the price of copper and a unidirectional causal relationship from the price of aluminum to RMB internationalization were examined. In addition, due to the impact of extreme events, such as economic and financial crises, RMB internationalization and nonferrous metal prices are not always positively correlated but are rather occasionally negatively correlated.展开更多

Some industrial parks were founded in 2005 including non-ferrous metal processing and smelting plants. In order to identify the consequence of lead pollution on children around the industry park, blood samples of neighboring children were collected and analyzed in laboratory. The results showed that the involved children have suffered serious harms from Pb pollution. Almost 75% of the children's blood lead levels (BLLs) exceeded the limit of normal blood lead. Worse still, 26.17% of them were at the level of Moderate lead poisoning. The group aged 0-7 showed more susceptibility to Pb than that aged 8-14. Only 19.05% of the children aged 0-7 were at the level of normal blood lead, compared with 45.45% in the group aged 8-14. There was no significant difference between the values of blood lead concentration for male and female or among different age groups. Some approaches, which include controlling the Pb pollution from the industry park and safeguarding the residents, esp. the children were suggested.展开更多

Most scholars believe that the haze is toxic and harmful gases; particulate matter and other pollutants together lead to reduced visibility as the main manifestation of the phenomenon of air pollution. Population health effects caused by the haze have been proven in many studies. The system summarizes the polluting haze weather physicochemical characteristics, introduced widely accepted definition of haze, haze hazard to residents and the proposed requirements.展开更多

Crude imported by 5 state-owned entities accounts for 90% of the total imports, while non state-owned entities are about given more freedom in using and importing crude. In 2015 only, there were 13 compauies graftted rcritlt access to imported crude oil and 6welv qualiied to import rights. Currently, there are 29 non-state-owned companies engaging in crude import business. China oil market is .faced with severe challenges. Ttre growth rate of oil demand declined, and dependence upon imported oil increased and reached as high as 61.26% in 2015. Refined oil demand growth also slowed down, and oil refining overcapacity got prominent and completion wouht become fiercer" in future. Overcapacity was about 140 million toils per year in 2015. Consumption ratio of diesel to gasoline went on declining, and ttre task of product structure adjustment was heavy. China oil market is undergoing great transformation, and institutional mechanism zoill go ahead, on the basis of centering on orderly release of limitations on crude oil and refined oil import and export, orderly release of competitive business arrd government pricing of oil/gas downstream links, vigorous resolving of overcapacity, strengthening low-carbon development, and laying a solid foundation.for guarantee.展开更多

A review of the theoretical and empirical studies conducted allows us to confirm that a systematic analysis of the contextual, organizational and strategic factors that arise after a public company's privatization does not exist. This study explores the changes in strategic management that take place after a public company's privatization and proposes a theoretical global analysis model that facilitates their analysis. In order to confirm the theoretical propositions posed, the contemporary multiple case study was used as a research methodology. In particular, the changes experienced in the strategic management area in four privatized Spanish companies were investigated along the lines of a longitudinal analysis. The results of this study show that most theoretical propositions are confirmed or tend to be, according to the evidence shown by the firms in the sample. In addition, a comparative analysis of the different firms' behaviors by following the structure constructed on the basis of the three areas (strategies, objectives and organizational structure) leads to the conclusion that all these areas are relevant to the process of change in a privatized firm's strategic management.展开更多

It should be considered on two important points about the history of modernization of Republican Turkey. The first of these is mentalities and ideological attitudes of modernizing elites. The emphasis to be made is to actually point to an opposition: Republican bureaucracy, in other words, the Kemalist elites, believed that progress in the sense understood by the French revolutionaries, positivist ideas, and secular point of view, on the other hand refused to tradition, namely Ottoman-lslamic past/background. Secondly, the Kemalist bureaucracy followed a specific application of the statist economic strategy. The state on the one hand has made investments using its own resources on heavy industry, established monopoly on certain products, on the other hand has followed liberal policies in order to create a national bourgeoisie. In addition, it cannot resolve/transform land ownership regime in favor of landless peasants. The turning point in the economic development of Korea was the military government of Park Chong Hee. The main policy during the 20 years of government was self-sufficient national economy. A presidential central industrial planning board (EPC) was responsible for the planning of all new investment areas and provided policy coordination among related ministries. Government could control the allocation of all financial resources through nationalized commercial banks. Economic planning by government included resource allocation, setting export targets for big family holdings, selective support of strategic industries, and successful private companies. So, government played an important role in the accumulation of capital in the hands of selected loyal new bourgeoisie class, big family holdings (chaebols), which helped the succession of national development projects. The government used nationalism and moderated Confucius values as a means of creating developmental spirit. Anti-industrial teachings in Confucianism has been changed by Western values to form a new development-oriented work ethics, but core teachings like paternalism, hierarchical order in groups, emphasis on education, harmony, collectivism were strengthened by national education. Government policies and modified cultural elements caused an able and willing labor force and committed nation for overcoming poverty, strengthening Korea's economic position in the region.展开更多

In addition, China has proactively reformed the government administration system.展开更多

This new aspect is, by its very nature, heterogeneous and organically fluid and does not allow for easy categorisation or comparative empirical study. Nevertheless, civil society- and particularly organised civil society-is increasingly exerting new forms of influence and representation and, as it does so, so its role is being consolidated and institutionalised at all levels.展开更多
