However, at this stage, there are still problems of fragmentation and superficiality in English teaching. The proposal of the English learning activity perspective provides some ideas for solving these problems. At the same time, the 5E teaching model, which advocates student-centered and student exploration, also provides a new teaching model and new perspective for English reading teaching. Through sorting out the connotations of the English learning activity perspective and the 5E teaching model, this article attempts to integrate the English learning activity perspective with the 5E teaching model and explore the design and application of the 5E teaching model under the English learning activity perspective in junior high school English reading teaching, so as to make English teaching move from scattered to systematic, facilitate the cultivation of students’ core literacy, and achieve the goal of educating students in the English discipline.展开更多
