This leads to a demand for computational algorithms for real time processing of high resolution videos. Motion detection and background separation play a vital role in capturing the object of interest in surveillance videos, but as we move towards high resolution cameras, the time-complexity of the algorithm increases and thus fails to be a part of real time systems. Parallel architecture provides a surpass platform to work efficiently with complex algorithmic solutions. In this work, a method was proposed for identifying the moving objects perfectly in the videos using adaptive background making, motion detection and object estimation. The pre-processing part includes an adaptive block background making model and a dynamically adaptive thresholding technique to estimate the moving objects. The post processing includes a competent parallel connected component labelling algorithm to estimate perfectly the objects of interest. New parallel processing strategies are developed on each stage of the algorithm to reduce the time-complexity of the system. This algorithm has achieved a average speedup of 12.26 times for lower resolution video frames(320×240, 720×480, 1024×768) and 7.30 times for higher resolution video frames(1360×768, 1920×1080, 2560×1440) on GPU, which is superior to CPU processing. Also, this algorithm was tested by changing the number of threads in a thread block and the minimum execution time has been achieved for 16×16 thread block. And this algorithm was tested on a night sequence where the amount of light in the scene is very less and still the algorithm has given a significant speedup and accuracy in determining the object.展开更多

The effect of effective quantities to the obtained stopping power results is investigated by calculating stopping powers. The contributions to stopping power from the modified LSS and Bethe formulas have been calculated separately and compared in graphs of stopping power. The stopping power for lithium ions in the intermediate and higher energy region is found to be dominant due to excitation-ionization whereas quasi molecule criterion is dominant in the lower energy region.展开更多

Periodic solutions are obtained through harmonic balance method with alternating frequency/time domain(HB-AFT) technique, and then compared with the results of numerical simulation. Good agreement confirms the feasibility of HB-AFT scheme. Moreover, the Floquet theory is adopted to analyze motion stability of the system when rotor runs at different speed intervals. A simple strategy to determine the monodromy matrix is introduced and two ways towards unstability are found for periodic solutions: the period doubling bifurcation and the secondary Hopf bifurcation. The results obtained will contribute to the global response analysis and dynamic optimal design of rotor systems.展开更多

The U-boson leads to the increase of the star maximum mass. The modification to the maximum mass by the U-boson with the strong YY interaction is larger than that with the weak YY interaction. The maximum mass of the protoneutron star is less sensitive to the U-boson than that of the neutron star. The inclusion of the U-boson narrows down the mass window for the hyperonized protoneutron stars. As g^2/μ~2 increases, the species of hyperons, which can appear in a stable protoneutron star decrease. The rotation frequency, the red shift, the momentum of inertia and the total neutrino fraction of PSR J1903-0327 are sensitive to the U-boson and change with g^2/μ~2 in an approximate linear trend. The possible way to constrain the coupling constants of the U-boson is discussed.展开更多
