Compared with traditional approaches such as ontology integration and mapping, the proposed approach can reduce the implementation complexity. This approach can be mainly divided into three phases: ontology context determination for a given term, ontology semantic similarity computation between ontology terms, and ontology context immigration. As for a local semantic term based on distributed ontologies, an appropriate ontology context of the term is determined and extracted from a local ontology most associated with the term by using semantic similarity computation. Then, the ontology context is dynamically immigrated to the source ontology for enriching semantic information related to the term. A system called distributed knowledge sharing system(DKSS) is developed to illustrate this approach. The system adopts multi-agent technology for better communication and coordination between different ontology information sources. The experimental results show that it is efficient for distributed ontology knowledge sharing. The proposed approach does not require the support of a global ontology or the maintenance of complex ontology mapping relations, and thus it has better maintainability and scalability.展开更多

In an obstacle-free environment, a robot is ensured to reach the goal position with the desired posture by following the univector field. Contrariwise, the univector field cannot guarantee that the robot will avoid obstacles in environments. In order to create an intelligent mobile robot being able to perform the obstacle avoidance task while following the univector field, Dyna-Q algorithm is developed to train the robot in learning moving directions to attain a collision-free path for its navigation. Simulations on the computer as well as experiments on the real world prove that the proposed algorithm is efficient for training the robot in reaching the goal position with the desired final orientation.展开更多

In this paper, we propose a framework for RGBD SLAM in low dynamic environment, which can maintain a map keeping track of the latest environment. The main model describing the environment is a multi-session pose graph, which evolves over the multiple visits of the robot. The poses in the graph will be pruned when the 3D point scans corresponding to those poses are out of date. When the robot explores the new areas, its poses will be added to the graph. Thus the scans kept in the current graph will always give a map of the latest environment. The changes of the environment are detected by out-of-dated scans identification module through analyzing scans collected at different sessions. Besides, a redundant scans identification module is employed to further reduce the poses with redundant scans in order to keep the total number of poses in the graph with respect to the size of environment. In the experiments, the framework is first tuned and tested on data acquired by a Kinect from laboratory environment. Then the framework is applied to external dataset acquired by a Kinect II from a workspace of an industrial robot in another country, which is blind to the development phase, for further validation of the performance. After this two-step evaluation, the proposed framework is considered to be able to manage the map in date in dynamic or static environment with a noncumulative complexity and acceptable error level.展开更多

As the obstacles in W-space move frequently, the crowd degree of C-space changes accordingly. Therefore, in order to dynamically improve the sampling quality, it is appreciated for a planner to rapidly approximate the crowd degree of different parts of the C-space, and boost sample densities with them based on their difficulty levels. In this paper, a novel approach called Adaptive Region Boosting (ARB) is proposed to increase the sampling density for difficult areas with different strategies. What's more, a new criterion, called biased entropy, is proposed to evaluate the difficult degree of a region. The new criterion takes into account both temporal and spatial information of a specific C-space region, in order to make a thorough assessment to a local area. Three groups of experiments are conducted based on a dual-manipulator system with 12 DoFs. This paper evaluates the current importance of the societal stakeholders that impact the compliance of companies towards these environmental, social and governance practices in their supply chain operations. The latest review on the sustainability reporting and its data analytics are carried out, followed by a review of the development of a sustainability reporting and data analytics model, including sustainability software and online platforms in facilitating and supporting supply chain practitioners in their decision-making process. The model has been further developed as a dashboard and applied to a maritime supply chain firm. A case analysis has been conducted to illustrate the importance of analytics data in supporting complex decision-making process. Additional intelligent data analytics functionalities are recommended as future development for the sustainability reporting and data analytics dashboard in supply chain operations.展开更多

文摘The main idea of pervasive computing is to make computing exist everywhere in the physical world. The smart home system is an important realisation of pervasive computing whose aim is to provide system users with an intelligent life experience. The key technique used to realise this is context awareness.Contexts in the living space can provide large amounts of information regarding users’behaviours and habits.Together with an information system,it can automatically execute many common operations of applications, instead of users, and can make the applications"smart".However, since contexts in the environment are diverse and sensitive,it is difficult to choose the ones that are most useful to the users’current activity.A proper scheduling strategy should first consider the users’demand. This paper proposes a context-aware scheduling algorithm that is based on correlation, with the purpose of improving the utilization rate of context collections.Experiments show that with the priority based on correlation in low-level contexts, the scheduling of reasoning tasks can reduce the cost of transmission.
文摘The increase in climate change raises the awareness of societal stakeholders to act as key-drivers in motivating and pushing corporations to monitor their sustainability data transparency, analyse their operations performance, and improve their operations related to environment, social governance, and corporate social responsibility. Additional intelligent data analytics functionalities are recommended as future development for the sustainability reporting and data analytics dashboard in supply chain operations.
