质点力学、电磁场理论物质基础的逻辑一致性与超光速现象的存在基础——自然科学研究中“理性原则”的重新探讨

自 1 9世纪末迈克尔逊 -莫雷实验和黑体辐射实验冲破牛顿力学框架以来 ,物理学在 2 0世纪取得划时代的进步 ,同时也出现了一系列重大的疑难问题。到了 2 1世纪初 ,更有不同实验室报道了一系列“超光速和亚光速”现象 ,这些实验如果属实 ,那无疑将抽掉相对论的根基。杨本洛教授有鉴于上述情况 ,提出了对自然科学体系进行历史性和全局性梳理的问题 ,并已出版了多本专著。这些专著中有大量的数学推导 ,不是作为定位在高级科普的本刊所适宜介绍的 ,但其中包含的基本哲学理念 ,则是本刊读者感兴趣而需加以关注的。由此 ,本着百家争鸣的精神 ,本刊特约杨教授撰写这方面的系列文章 ,陆续刊出 。

Theory-guided electrocatalyst engineering:From mechanism analysis to structural design

The exploitation of competent electrocatalysts is a key issue of the broad application of many promising electrochemical processes,including the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),the oxygen evolution reaction(OER),the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),the CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)and the nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR).The traditional searches for good electrocatalysts rely on the trial-and-error approaches,which are typically tedious and inefficient.In the past decades,some fundamental principles,activity descriptors and catalytic mechanisms have been established to accelerate the discovery of advanced electrocatalysts.Hence,it is time to summarize these theory-related research advances that unravel the structure-performance relationships and enables predictive ability in electrocatalysis studies.In this review,we summarize some basic aspects of catalytic theories that are commonly used in the design of electrocatalysts(e.g.,Sabatier principle,d-band theory,adsorption-energy scaling relation,activity descriptors)and their relevance.Then,we briefly introduced the fundamental mechanisms and central challenges of HER,OER,ORR,CO_(2)RR and NRR electrocatalysts,and highlight the theory-based efforts used to address the challenges facing these electrocatalysis processes.Finally,we propose the key challenges and opportunities of theory-driven electrocatalysis on their future.

The rationale behind the four major anti-COVID-19 principles of Chinese herbal medicine based on systems medicine

As the novel coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)and its variants continue to rage into the second year of a global pandemic,many success stories of applying Chinese herbal medicine(CHM)to treat COVID-19 patients continue to emerge from China and other part of the world.Herewith,from a systems medicine perspective,the authors analyze those experiences and categorize them into four major treatment principles:(1)focusing on eliminating toxins in the early stage of the disease,(2)tonifying deficiency of the body throughout the entire disease course,(3)treating the affected lung and intestine simultaneously based on visceral interactions,(4)cooling blood and removing blood stasis at the later stage,as well as interpret the rationale of these principles.This is helpful not only in reducing the complexity of promoting the CHM applications to enhance anti-COVID-19 efficacy,but also in ramping out the process of integrating traditional Chinese medicine with modern medical practices.

Cognitive Heuristics and Dual Process Models A Perspective for Management Accounting （MA）？

Classical management accounting （MA） Focusing on the facilitating perspective, focuses on decision facilitating and influencing （Demski ＆ Feltham, 1976）. MA has to provide information to managers and depending on the problem complexity, they have to solve problems in a dyadic way. A dual process model, the heuristic systematic model （HSM）, expands this so-called manager-accountant-dyad and shows different cases of actual human information processing. Managers and accountants either process systematically or heuristically. So far, many concepts have been designed in relation to the normative concept of the economical rational principle. Consequently, recent research only uses systematic information processing, based on the principle of the economic man. In this paper, a decision-behavior oriented approach tries to describe actual decision makers such as managers and accountants and shows new possibilities within MA. Therefore, the potential of heuristic information processing is analyzed, based on the phenomenon of ecological rationality as one shape of bounded rationality. Thus, different cognitive heuristics in business economics are identified and analyzed. Furthermore, the outstanding performance of heuristics compared with more complex calculations is shown. Unfortunately, these findings have been limited to marketing and investments so far. Significant research is needed, regarding conditions for applications and success factors of heuristics in business economics. New empirical findings have to be explicitly transferred to MA.

F-knowledge and Its F-reduction Theorems

By using the dual of one direction singular rough sets,the concepts of F-knowledge and its F-reduction were given;F-reduction theorem of F-knowledge and attribute supplement redundant principle of F-reduction are presented;the dual of one direction singular rough sets is one of the basic forms of singular rough sets;knowledge reduction is a new research direction on rough sets and rough system theory.

Quality oriented value and performance drivers

The quality endeavors of an organization, like other enterprise activities, must be oriented towards the economic principles. This approach gives a way to many organizations to question the extent to which the quality management contributes for the overall business success and to pin point the areas where particularly a high value or performance can be created in order to attain the maximum possible economic benefits out of quality management systems. Without including the answer of this question in the decision making process, the resources can not be allocated optimally for the quality purpose. Quality management activities create variety of effects that indirectly contributes towards the economic success and thus increase the company and stakeholder value. A closer look at the quality management philosophy reveals eight major principles namely： customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, system approach to management, continual improvement, factual approach to decision making, mutually beneficial supplier relationships. These eight principles lead the efforts in the domain of quality management to project a positive impact on the company. For an understanding of response relationships, it is necessary to consider in detail the indicators along the response relationships. They provide helpful clues and give an insight into the complex mechanisms of action of the quality approaches on the path to the company＇s success. The following illustration depicts how the quality based activities generate the value to enhance the performance and a variety of indicators reflects how they indirectly add value to an organization and hence contribute to its economic success.

Invariance principles for the law of the iterated logarithm under G-framework

We obtain a general invariance principle of G-Brownian motion for the law of the iterated logarithm(LIL for short). For continuous bounded independent and identically distributed random variables in G-expectation space, we also give an invariance principle for LIL. In some sense, this result is an extension of the classical Strassen's invariance principle to the case where probability measure is no longer additive. Furthermore,we give some examples as applications.

Springback equation of small curvature plane bending

A new analytical method for springback of small curvature plane bending is addressed with unloading rule of classical elastic-plastic theory and principle of strain superposition.We start from strain analysis of plane bending which has initial curvature,and the theoretic derivation is on the widely applicable basic hypotheses.The results are unified to geometry constraint equations and springback equation of plane bending,which can be evolved to straight beam plane bending and pure bending.The expanding and setting round process is one of the situations of plane bending,which is a bend-stretching process of plane curved beam.In the present study,springback equation of plane bending is used to analyze the expanding and setting round process,and the results agree with the experimental data.With a reasonable prediction accuracy,this new analytical method for springback of plane bending can meet the needs of applications in engineering.
