The aim of this paper is to describe and to reflect on the experience of the authors in setting up a new model of learning environment in management education in a University in Brazil, which was initially called Mana...The aim of this paper is to describe and to reflect on the experience of the authors in setting up a new model of learning environment in management education in a University in Brazil, which was initially called Management Practice Laboratory （MPL）. The MPL environment was conceived as a physical and conceptual space where students could learn and practice the principles and techniques of working in organizations in its three levels operational, tactical, and strategic. The foundations of the project come from social constructivist perspective on learning, from experiential learning literature and from researches that call for a new epistemological ground in management learning. In this paper, the authors will stress some challenges and frustrations with the project since these could be helpful to those interested in similar initiatives. Due to limited space, only two challenges will be stressed： （1） the construction of legitimacy for the project; and （2） the persistent dissonance between theory and practice. The authors conclude that there is room for innovation in the way management is taught and learned in universities since one shows courage to overcome the challenges and frustrations one will certainly deal with展开更多

Thus, company welfare is represented as internal sociability; environmental protection or innovation can be interpreted as external sociability, representing the uses of resources that a company does not incur costs, but demonstrates its health and social responsibility. Following a theoretical approach, the paper proposes as result a conceptual study introducing an updated literature analysis on the topic proposed of the integrated welfare systems and disclosure trying to point out emerging issues through a case study. Moreover, the research methodology is based on a qualitative approach and secondary sources in order to propose not only to scientific community a literature analysis. In this way, the implications of the research can be directed to academic communities and policy makers. Despite certain differences in various cultures throughout the world and social history regarding all matters of sexuality, many converging principles of mankind are also there to take notice. In this light, in this work, the dimension of criminality in sexuality is taken into consideration. Rape seems to be the most common type of violent sexual crime. The topic of sexual offences （milder crimes） in the legal framework is further developed and debated, with references to figures of authority. Sexual harassment seems to be the mildest form or degree of offence on a scale depicting the spectrum of sexual crimes. As a matter of fact, its mere definition emerged only in contemporary times, even though its presence had been a fact of social life, throughout the ages. In this paper, while a general survey is preferred, peculiarities due to Turkey as a separate country with its own cultural history, are also alluded to inappropriate places, along the course of debates.展开更多
The concept of justice is a complex phenomenon which has been subjected to various legal, social, and philosophical interpretations. In other words, for the concept to make meaning to analysts and various intellectual...The concept of justice is a complex phenomenon which has been subjected to various legal, social, and philosophical interpretations. In other words, for the concept to make meaning to analysts and various intellectual communities, it has to undergo a process of concept conceptualization and operationalisation. It is therefore this lack of univocal definition of justice that one can philosophically assert that there is no theory of justice but theories of justice. The purpose of this article is not to delve into the various analyses of theories, meanings, definitions, and/or explanations of justice but to examine John Rawls＇ Difference Principle of justice in the context of the Nigerian Quota System. In order to make this writing less nebulous and less ambiguous and more explicit and clear, I shall examine the definitions of the concepts of both justice and Quota System. In addition, evaluation of the philosophical and theoretical assumptions of the Rawls＇ theory and the Quota System will be made with a view to revealing their applicability and relevance in our real economic socio-political system （in Nigeria）.展开更多

A satisfactory social theory must conceptualize the dark side of modernity as well as the ligt. This essay identifies nine dangerous frictions inherent in modernity and also defines mechanisms for their possible repair.
