A liquid cross-flow over a sparger can produce smaller bubbles, and hereby enhance the performance of contactor. A one stage model by balancing the forces acting on a growing bubble was developed to describe the formation of the bubble from an orifice exposed to liquid cross-flow. The prediction with this model agrees with the experimental data available in the literatures, and show that orifice size strongly affects the bubble size. It is showed that the shear-lift force, inertia force, surface tension force and buoyancy force are major forces, and a simplified mathematical model was developed, and the detachment bubble diameter can be predicted with accuracy of <±21%.展开更多

These are the primal and dual problems. In the primal problem phase, capital expenditures of private corporations grow, creating an impetus towards the maximization of profits. In this case, as Adam Smith once wrote, the "invisible hand of God" works to lead the economy to a significant growth. This paper defines the concept of economic growth, bubble economy and destruction of bubble economy. And this paper describes why bubble economy occurs and crashes. In the process, this paper shows that primal economy exists before bubble economy and dual economy exists after destruction of bubble economy.展开更多

Studies include...Electron acceleration in plasma driven by circular polarized ultraintense laser with asymmetric pulse axe investigated analytically and numerically in terms of oscillation-center Hamiltonian formalism. Studies include wakefield acceleration, which dominates in blow-out or bubble regime and snow-plow acceleration which dominates in supra-bubble regime. By a comparison with each other it is found that snow-plow acceleration has lower acceleration capability. In wakefield acceleration, there exists an obvious optimum pulse asymmetry or/and pulse lengths that leads to the high net energy gain while in snow-plow acceleration it is insensitive to the pulse lengths. Power and linear scaling laws for wakefield and snow-plow acceleration respetively are observed from the net energy gain depending on laser field amplitude. Moreover, there exists also an upper and lower limit on plasma density for an effective acceleration in both of regimes.展开更多
