The content of the “Comprehensive and Practical” section under the new curriculum reform mainly includes theme activities and project-based learning, and theme based learning is mainly adopted in primary school. This article first clarifies the concepts of “synthesis and practice” and theme activities, analyzes their characteristics and requirements, and then explores the design of theme activities in depth from two aspects: the principles and methods that should be followed in theme activity design, and draws relevant conclusions.
